End-of-life medical services in the form of Hospice or Palliative care were initiated in the midd... more End-of-life medical services in the form of Hospice or Palliative care were initiated in the middle of 1900 in order to comfort the dying patients and support their families. There are a lot of similarities and differences between the two services. Many healthcare providers, including physicians, physician assistants, and nurses, are not fully trained or have comprehensive knowledge of these two types of end-of-life medical care. Through this paper, we aim to provide a thorough review of Hospice and Palliative care for internist and primary care physicians both in terms of indications or eligibility criteria; the similarities and differences between the two types of care; factors that disqualify an enrolled patient; and lastly, the role or use of Hospice and palliative care during COVID-19 pandemic.

Prostate cancer (PCa) screening remains one of the most controversial topics in clinical and publ... more Prostate cancer (PCa) screening remains one of the most controversial topics in clinical and public health. Despite being the second most common cancer in men worldwide, recommendations for screening using prostate-specific antigen (PSA) are unclear. Early detection and the resulting postscreening treatment lead to overdiagnosis and overtreatment of otherwise indolent cases. In addition, several unwanted harms are associated with PCa screening process. This literature review focuses on the limitations of PSA-specific PCa screening, reasons behind the screening controversy, and the novel biomarkers and advanced innovative methodologies that improve the limitations of traditional screening using PSA. With the verdict of whether or not to screen not yet unanimous, we hope to aid in resolution of the long-standing debate.

As a consequence, it imposed delirious consequences in patients with underlying co – morbid conditions that make them immunocompromised. The purpose of this paper is to provide an in - depth review of influence of COVID – 19 in patients with underlying HIV in terms of mortality and hospitalization.Authors also aim to provide a thorough risk analysis of hospitalization, ICU admission and mortality of PLWH and COVID-19. The secondary objective was to analyze the CD4+ count variations and outcome of COVID - 19 and to correlate if ART provided a protective role. Authors also aim to provide an evaluation of typical clinical presentation of COVID-19 in PLWH. ART is found to show activity against SARS-CoV-2 in vitro, and there is some similarity in the structure of HIV-1 gp41 and S2 proteins of SARS-CoV since they both belong to +ssRN...

The common malignancies that ICI targets include the following: melanoma, lung cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and hematological malignancies such as Hodgkin’s lymphoma. ICI use is associated with many immune-related adverse events, and ICI-induced myocarditis is one of the rare and most severe AE with a high mortality rate. There are no consensus evidence-based treatment guideline; the expert recommendation is to use high-dose steroids. We aim in this review to assess the effectiveness of steroids in treating ICI-induced myocarditis.MethodsWe searched the following database Pubmed, Scopus, Cinhale, and Google Scholar, using the following keywords: ICI-induced myocarditis, treatment, steroid.
