In the 21 st century, the advancement of technology has changed how people, especially the younge... more In the 21 st century, the advancement of technology has changed how people, especially the younger generation communicate and socialise with each other, as well as how they learn, acquire and process information. Therefore, this study aims to explore the impact on the employment of digital game-based learning in Arabic class at the tertiary level. This study is a qualitative study and data obtained through semi-structured interview sessions with 16 students at tertiary level, who exposed to the mobile digital game in learning the Arabic language. The students were chosen purposively based on several determining characteristics. The major findings indicated that the mobile digital game produces a significant effect on their learning achievement and enhances their Arabic vocabulary acquisition. Besides, the digital game-based learning also promotes a student-centred and interactive learning, while additionally creates an enjoyable environment for learning that could encourage student participation in class activities, sustain their learning engagement, and improve their motivation. This study explored opportunities for Arabic language lecturers to practice digital game-based learning as it promotes studentcentred learning, which would enhance student's participation in language activities and provide them with a joyful, fun, and active learning environment.

This study seeks to investigate the use of E-HOTS in the teaching and learning practice of UPSI's Arabic language trainee teachers throughout the teaching practice period. The trainee teachers were to produce an E-HOTS and apply it in the Arabic language teaching and learning practice. The ADDIE instructional model and the Shulman Integration Model were used as the basis for conducting this study. This study involved 71 students from UPSI's Bachelor's Degree in Arabic Language with Education programme of September 2014/2015 intake, who had undergone a teaching practice in July 2017. While there is an abundant of educational digital games available in the market, many seem to not fulfil players' need and some contain technical or content errors, which will defy their purpose as education games. Thus, this study aims to validate e-Mufradat which is an educational digital-game application for learning Arabic vocabulary. This study is a qualitative study and the data were collected through semi-structured interviews with nine experts in instructional design and technology and Arabic as a second language. The subject matter experts were selected purposively from various universities in Malaysia. The finding indicates that e-Mufradat is aligned with multimedia learning theory and embedded digital game-based learning principles.

RAS offers controlled environment which permits product growth rate control and predictable harvesting schedule. Two parameter categories need to be monitored in RAS — direct and indirect. Direct parameter like pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen and some other water quality parameter exist as natural elements. The indirect parameter comes from the calcution based on stock capacity that will affect the content of these natural parameters. Extensive data acquisition and analysis will determine the success of RAS. The vast number of data will affect the network traffic especially if the system is cloud-based. Ia melibatkan dua peringkat. Peringkat pertama merekabentuk dan mengolah kit media yang mempunyai elemen KBAT oleh guru pelatih bahasa Arab. Manakala peringkat kedua pula menganalisis keberkesanan penggunaan kit media ini sebagai satu medium efisyen dan praktikal untuk digunakan sepanjang sesi latihan mengajar di sekolah. Word classification was developed in this model to explain to users about the types of words in the sentences and phrases displayed as the search results of Malay-Arabic comparable sentences. Word classification is a method of describing to users, especially to students who have a problem with identifying word classes, particularly in the Arabic language. Word classes are divided based on three main classes of the Arabic language, namely ism, fiʽil and harf. Ism is divided into ism ʽalam and ism mushtaq. Ism mushtaq is divided into masdar, ism al-faʽil, ism al-maʽful, ism al-zaman and ism al-makan. Fiʽil is divided into three main components, namely fiʽil al-madhi, fiʽil al-mudhari' and fiʽil al-amr. While harf is in harf component only. The method of listing each of these word class components is done using a software that separates each sentence component entry based on word class. The development of this database was made by using PHP software, MySQL Database and Linux-based Web Server System. The word class displayed will be in accordance with each phrase or sentence entry inserted, together with the translations. User is only required to enter a keyword in the search box and the system will display the search results of comparable Malay-Arabic phrases or sentences along with the word classes.

Though it seems simple, the art of translating it into another language might be a tad complicated. Occasionally, there are also Proper Nouns that bring indirect meaning to the audience that will bring misinterpretation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyse the root and square of how Proper Noun was translated into Arabic from the first edition of Al Ustaz novel by Sultan Ahmad Bin Abdur and Mujahid Mustafa Bahjat (2010). The structure of this study is qualitative with 25 out of 202 Proper Noun chosen as the study sample. The data is comprised into 5 types of Proper Noun in each category. Pada awal abad ke-20, perkataan 'kuning' dipanggil kerana kertas buku berwarna kuning dan bahan kertas asal untuk percetakannya diperolehi dari Asia Tengah. Tambahan pula, teknik terjemahan terhadap kitab-kitab lama atau kuning masih dalam takluk lama iaitu terjemahan harfiah. Sehubungan dengan itu, kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk menganalisis terjemahan teks Bab Solat dalam Kitab Bahrul Mazi. Pengkaji menggunakan reka bentuk data kualitatif dengan pemilihan sebanyak 10 daripada 88 Bab Hadis yang terdapat dalam kitab ini. Teori Eugene Nida (1964) dijadikan sebagai panduan untuk membina kerangka kajian bertujuan untuk menganalisis metode terjemahan alternatif yang bersesuaian dengan kitab ini. Lantaran itu, kajian ini diharapkan dapat lebih memudahkan para pembaca khususnya dapat mudah difahami metode terjemahan yang dihuraikan seterusnya dapat mengamalkan ajaran Nabi Muhammad dengan betul dan sohih.

LoRa is a low power long range wireless communication platform that is designed as an efficient c... more LoRa is a low power long range wireless communication platform that is designed as an efficient communication platform for small, low powered devices. This makes it very suitable for battery powered devices and IoT implementation. This paper evaluates some low cost LoRa modules available on the market and their suitability, energy efficiency and performance during operation. Two low cost LoRa transceiver from Semtech Industries, the SX1272 and SX1278 were tested for their power consumption and maximum transmission range. This study have evaluated the two LoRa solutions and found that the SX1278 have a better transmission range and uses lower energy compared to the SX1272 thus making it more suitable for embedded implementation as a data gateway.

Word classification was developed in this model to explain to users about the types of words in the sentences and phrases displayed as the search results of Malay-Arabic comparable sentences. Word classification is a method of describing to users, especially to students who have a problem with identifying word classes, particularly in the Arabic language. Word classes are divided based on three main classes of the Arabic language, namely ism, fiʽil and harf. Ism is divided into ism ʽalam and ism mushtaq. Ism mushtaq is divided into masdar, ism al-faʽil, ism al-maʽful, ism al-zaman and ism al-makan. Fiʽil is divided into three main components, namely fiʽil al-madhi, fiʽil al-mudhari' and fiʽil al-amr. While harf is in harf component only. The method of listing each of these word class components is done using a software that separates each sentence component entry based on word class. The development of this database was made by using PHP software, MySQL Database and Linux-based Web Server System. The word class displayed will be in accordance with each phrase or sentence entry inserted, together with the translations. User is only required to enter a keyword in the search box and the system will display the search results of comparable Malay-Arabic phrases or sentences along with the word classes.

Though it seems simple, the art of translating it into another language might be a tad complicated. Occasionally, there are also Proper Nouns that bring indirect meaning to the audience that will bring misinterpretation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyse the root and square of how Proper Noun was translated into Arabic from the first edition of Al Ustaz novel by Sultan Ahmad Bin Abdur and Mujahid Mustafa Bahjat (2010). The structure of this study is qualitative with 25 out of 202 Proper Noun chosen as the study sample. The data is comprised into 5 types of Proper Noun in each category. Pada awal abad ke-20, perkataan 'kuning' dipanggil kerana kertas buku berwarna kuning dan bahan kertas asal untuk percetakannya diperolehi dari Asia Tengah. Tambahan pula, teknik terjemahan terhadap kitab-kitab lama atau kuning masih dalam takluk lama iaitu terjemahan harfiah. Sehubungan dengan itu, kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk menganalisis terjemahan teks Bab Solat dalam Kitab Bahrul Mazi. Pengkaji menggunakan reka bentuk data kualitatif dengan pemilihan sebanyak 10 daripada 88 Bab Hadis yang terdapat dalam kitab ini. Teori Eugene Nida (1964) dijadikan sebagai panduan untuk membina kerangka kajian bertujuan untuk menganalisis metode terjemahan alternatif yang bersesuaian dengan kitab ini. Lantaran itu, kajian ini diharapkan dapat lebih memudahkan para pembaca khususnya dapat mudah difahami metode terjemahan yang dihuraikan seterusnya dapat mengamalkan ajaran Nabi Muhammad dengan betul dan sohih.

LoRa is a low power long range wireless communication platform that is designed as an efficient c... more LoRa is a low power long range wireless communication platform that is designed as an efficient communication platform for small, low powered devices. This makes it very suitable for battery powered devices and IoT implementation. This paper evaluates some low cost LoRa modules available on the market and their suitability, energy efficiency and performance during operation. Two low cost LoRa transceiver from Semtech Industries, the SX1272 and SX1278 were tested for their power consumption and maximum transmission range. This study have evaluated the two LoRa solutions and found that the SX1278 have a better transmission range and uses lower energy compared to the SX1272 thus making it more suitable for embedded implementation as a data gateway.
