At a time when the slavery/slave trade business was looking difficult to stop because of the part... more At a time when the slavery/slave trade business was looking difficult to stop because of the parties involved and the benefits it was yielding to the Christian missions and missionaries particularly in Africa, God raised Abraham Booth as one of the voices for the victims of slavery/slave trade among the Baptist faith. This paper seeks to find answers on what led to the slavery/slave trade and the impact this seasoned Baptist pastor had in the abolition. In an attempt to do justice to the subject of discussion, references will be made to the biblical history to find out whether such was practiced and what was the outcome, before relating such to the history of the English and American Baptist Revolution and the subsequent aftermath of the phenomenon in Africa.
