Islamic Religious Education is a form of education that instills students with religious principl... more Islamic Religious Education is a form of education that instills students with religious principles. Islamic religious education is inextricably linked to student character development since both aim to develop pupils into human beings with faith and devotion to Allah SWT. The purpose of this study is to ascertain Islamic religious education learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Karawang, to compile a profile of students at MIN 1 Karawang, and to ascertain the role of Islamic religious education in forming the characteristics of students at MIN 1 Karawang. Field research with a qualitative approach was employed in this study. The study's findings indicate that Islamic religious education is critical in resolving the present character crisis. Islamic Religious Education is effectively carried out at MIN 1 Karawang via the involvement of all current partners.

Therefore, it is necessary to have the cooperation of parents and teachers in shaping the religious character of the child. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the parents' and teachers' roles in the management of Islamic Religious Education and Children's Character Education at SMP IT Al Istiqamah Global School Karawang. This study employs a qualitative methodology, collecting data through field observations, documentation studies, and interviews, and analyzing it using descriptive analysis. The study results indicate that parents are the basic foundation for the formation of children's behavior and morals to know the boundaries of good and evil. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kepustakaan, sumber utama penelitian ini adalah data-data dokumen kebijakan pendidikan di Indonesia pada masa sebelum adanya UU No.4 Tahun 1950 jo No.12 Tahun 1954, masa Undang-Undang no. 4 tahun 1950 jo No.12 Tahun 1954 (Dasar-Dasar Pendidikan dan Pengajaran di Sekolah), Undang-Undang No. 2 Tahun 1989 (Sistem Pendidikan Nasional), Undang-undang No. 20 tahun 2003 (Sistem Pendidikan Nasional), serta PP 55 tahun 2007 (Pendidikan Agama dan Pendidikan Keagamaan) dan Peraturan Menteri Agama Nomor 13 Tahun 2014 tentang Pendidikan Keagamaan Islam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah mendominasi kebijakan terhadap pesantren karena pesantren menjadi bagian dari sistem pendidikan nasional, hal ini terjadi sejak dimasukkannya pendidikan pasantren dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 dan PMA Nomor 13 Tahun 2014 yang menyatakan bahwa pemerintah turut serta mengatur pesantren melalui kebijakan pendidikan keagamaan Islam, konsekwensinya pesantren berada dalam tarik menarik kepentingan antara masyarakat dengan pemerintah. Sehingga dalam beberapa kebijakan tersebut terutama menyangkut standarisasi pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, kurikulum, sarana prasarana, dan pembiayaan sangat menyulitkan masyarakat dalam implementasinya di lapangan, karena masyarakat memiliki keterbatasan nilai untuk mengimplementasikan kebijakan tersebut.
