The development and rapidity on the usage of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) i... more The development and rapidity on the usage of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the community showed that the education system in this region is utilizing more of ICT in managing various challenges in the world's education system. Learning by design approach has the potential to be one of the most popular approaches among teachers to achieve the objective of children's learning. This article discussed three issues and challenges in implementing this approach-i) community's perception on digital games, ii) teacher's practices in implementing learning by design through digital games, and iii) children's level of creativity and skills in designing digital games for the learning process in the classroom. This article also discussed on the solutions for each issue to ensure the teaching and learning process could be stabilized to produce competitive and highly skilled digital generation.

Introducing peer and self-assessment approaches into English teaching may be quite challenging but beneficial to strengthening the relationship between teacher feedback and students learning, encouraging student to change the way of students learning and promote lifelong learning. The study proposed a writing module based on self-regulation model which emphasis on self and assessment practice in English Language classroom. The implementation is expected to help students improve their writing skills, social interactions as well as arousing their interest in learning English. The outcome of the proposed module is also hoped to create a more meaningful English lessons rather than the surface level approach of teaching by rote memorization and repetition.

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the IBE History Module on the knowledge of w... more The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the IBE History Module on the knowledge of writing essays and achievement among Form Six students. The development of this module is based on the Intro-Body Ending (IBE) method and the STPM Historical Coding Section (PTK). IBE is an essay outline site designed in the form of a numerical table that contains an introduction, content and conclusion. Students should write each section of the skeleton in accordance with the specifications required in the STPM History Scoring Section (PTK). The STPM Historical Scoring Section (PTK) is a grading method based on the level of efficiency with clear criteria. Students have been told in advance each step and what they can do. The ADDIE model, which includes the phases of needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation is at the heart of this study. The IBE History Module is a module built on the Needham Five-Phase Constructivism learning theory (Ricahrd, 1987). Modules are a set of teaching materials used to assist teachers in the PdP process in schools. Therefore, a quantitative study to be conducted by the researcher aims to test the effects of the IBE History Module that the researcher has developed through the quasi-experimental method. The study sample consisted of 120 Form Six students randomly selected. The students will be divided into two research groups, the experimental group and the control group. Whereas, the research instrument is a test of history essay achievement and student achievement level. The scores obtained by the students will be extracted and analyzed using System Packages for Social Sciences SPSS version 20 through independent sample t-test for pre-and post-test.

The purpose of this study was to identify the feasibility of the work ethic module to promote res... more The purpose of this study was to identify the feasibility of the work ethic module to promote research, publication, consultation and commercialization in public and private institutions of higher learning and institute of teacher education. The aspects emphasized in this study are the quality of work ethics related to honesty, confidentiality, expert reviews, misappropriation of funds, plagiarism, authenticity of reference, appreciation and recognition in its implementation. The study was conducted within one year and the sample of the study involved 152 lecturers consisting of 30 males and 122 females. Response from 85 respondents of the public institutions of higher learning, 38 respondents of the private institutions of higher learning and 29 respondents of the institute of teacher education were used to obtain quantitative data from the sample of the study. The data were collected through questionnaires and observations indirectly. Meanwhile, the raw data were analyzed using percentage and mean.

Kajian ini bertujuan ntuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis problematik etika komunikasi para aktor... more Kajian ini bertujuan ntuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis problematik etika komunikasi para aktor politik Indonesia di media sosial (melalui pemberitaan di detik.com.kompas.com, CNN.com) yang berindikasi "pelanggaran" norma dan nilai masyarakat Indonesia dan Islam. Perspektif yang digunakan adalah teori etika deontologi dari Barat dan pendektan etikia komuniksai Islam yang bersumber dari Al-Qur'an dan hadis juga qiyas dan ijtima. Metodologi yang diimplementasikan yaitu CMC (computer mediated communication) untuk mengeksplorasi pemberitaan dan ucapan-ucapan yang bertendensi etika komunikasi pada para tiga aktor politik Indonesia yang paling sering bermasalah dengan etika publik. Data diperoleh melalui teks-teks di media online, pengamatan pada para pakar, dan wawancara online dengan warga net yang merespons permasalahan etika komunikasi para aktor politik yang diteliti. Hasil temuan menjelaskan bahwa para aktor politik di Indonesia yang tampil di media sosial atau diberitakan di media online seringkali belum sesuai dengan etika komunikasi, khususnya yang berprinsip Islam, seperti: hiwar (saling beragumentasi dengan dialektis), jidal (berdebat dengan sumber yang jelas dan mencapai kesepakatan yang positif), tawashi (saling berwasiat dalam kebenaran), tabsyir (bisa menciptakan ruang komunikasi yang membahagiakan), maw'izah (berkasih sayang dalam beradu pendapat), dan indzar (saling mengingatkan untuk berbuat baik dan benar), bukan dengan pendekatan konflik dan menciptakan disintegrasi.

This study seeks to examine the use of ICT by students in the process of teaching and facilitatin... more This study seeks to examine the use of ICT by students in the process of teaching and facilitating (PdPc) the subject of Agriculture. Experimentation and the quantitative method using questionnaires have been adopted in this study. The qualitative method using interviews is also carried out. The choice of the subject for the study is also done through the purposive sampling involving 96 Form Four students in Agriculture stream in 4 secondary schools in the District of Kubang Pasu. The study subject comprises of two conventional groups and two ICT groups. The descriptive statistic analysis is adopted, to explain the study variable based on the demography of gender and computer ownership. Meanwhile, the inference statistic analysis namely MANOVA and Pearson correlation are employed to the hypothesis of the study. The study outcome shows that there is a significant difference towards the variable of knowledge and interaction to both groups of students. The study finding also demonstrates that there is a significant difference between ICT knowledge and the aspect of student demography. The Pearson correlation analysis also shows that there is a significant relationship between the level of motivation and student interactions and the level of knowledge and student interaction. The interview analysis outcome finds that there are two main themes namely the factor that causes students to be more motivated if teacher uses ICT and there is a positive interaction effect if ICT is used during the PdPc. The conclusion from the study shows that the use of ICT in the PdPc process really leaves an impact on the knowledge, motivation and interaction of the students and it is able to increase the PdPc of Agriculture subject.

This study seeks to identify the effect of the use of the interactive multimedia in learning and ... more This study seeks to identify the effect of the use of the interactive multimedia in learning and facilitation towards the form 2 students in technical Living Skills subject in the district of Kubang pasu, Kedah. The study adopts the purposive sampling to select the study sample. The study sample comprises of four groups of interactive (80 people) and four conventional groups (80 people). This study adopts the mixed method to gather the data. For the quantitative method, the questionnaire forms were distributed to160 persons as the sample. Meanwhile for the qualitative method, the interview method is used to six samples. Data were analysed to get the findings using the software named " Statistical Package of the Social Sciences (SPSS)". An analysis was done using the descriptive statistics method in the context of the study variable which is based on the demography of race, gender and computer ownership. The inferential statistics involve the t-test, MANOVA test and Pearson Correlation test. The study findings show that there is a significant difference towards the level of knowledge, motivation and interaction between the treatment and the control group. Other than that, there is a significant impact between the groups towards the variables of multimedia knowledge and interaction. Last but not least, there is a significant relationship between knowledge and motivation, knowledge and interaction and interaction and motivation. There are two themes yielded from the interview analysis which are the reasons behind students being more interested in learning if teacher uses interactive multimedia materials during the learning and facilitation process. The second theme is the impact if teacher uses the interactive multimedia materials during the process of learning and facilitation. The conclusion from the study demonstrates that the use of interactive multimedia materials in learning and facilitation towards Form Two students studying Technical Living Skills has brought an impact to their knowledge, motivation and interaction. The study implication shows that the use of interactive multimedia materials in learning and facilitation of the students has increased their learning and facilitation.

The study uses survey method that involves 627 samples selected through purposive sampling, using questionnaire instrument adapted from Milteniene & Venclovate (2012) and Jennifer (2015) that will cover vision, incentives and rationale of implementation. Findings of the study are interpreted with descriptive analysis using percentage, mean score and standard deviation. This study aims to examine the readiness of special education teachers (SET) to implement Inclusi... more This study aims to examine the readiness of special education teachers (SET) to implement Inclusive Education Program (IEP) in terms of their attitudes, knowledge and strategies. Additionally, the researchers also seek to analyze different approach of IEP implementation based on their work experience as special education teachers. This survey study involves a total of 75 special education teachers, using questionnaire instrument and analyzed by descriptive statistics. The overall study findings revealed the readiness of SETs towards IEP is at a high level (mean = 3.195, s.d = .259). Readiness in terms of attitude is also at high level with (mean = 3.359, s.d = .525), while knowledge aspect found to be at moderate level with (mean = 2.623, s.d = .561) and high level for strategy aspect (mean = 3.602, s.d = .503). One-way ANOVA of this research further discovered that there was no significant difference between aspects of attitude, knowledge and strategy with teaching experience. Hence this paper presents the readiness of SETS to IEP in attitudes and strategies aspects for effective IEP practice while knowledge aspect needs to be improved.

Last but not least, there is a significant relationship between knowledge and motivation, knowledge and interaction and interaction and motivation. There are two themes yielded from the interview analysis which are the reasons behind students being more interested in learning if teacher uses interactive multimedia materials during the learning and facilitation process. The second theme is the impact if teacher uses the interactive multimedia materials during the process of learning and facilitation. The conclusion from the study demonstrates that the use of interactive multimedia materials in learning and facilitation towards Form Two students studying Technical Living Skills has brought an impact to their knowledge, motivation and interaction. The study implication shows that the use of interactive multimedia materials in learning and facilitation of the students has increased their learning and facilitation.

The study uses survey method that involves 627 samples selected through purposive sampling, using questionnaire instrument adapted from Milteniene & Venclovate (2012) and Jennifer (2015) that will cover vision, incentives and rationale of implementation. Findings of the study are interpreted with descriptive analysis using percentage, mean score and standard deviation. This study aims to examine the readiness of special education teachers (SET) to implement Inclusi... more This study aims to examine the readiness of special education teachers (SET) to implement Inclusive Education Program (IEP) in terms of their attitudes, knowledge and strategies. Additionally, the researchers also seek to analyze different approach of IEP implementation based on their work experience as special education teachers. This survey study involves a total of 75 special education teachers, using questionnaire instrument and analyzed by descriptive statistics. The overall study findings revealed the readiness of SETs towards IEP is at a high level (mean = 3.195, s.d = .259). Readiness in terms of attitude is also at high level with (mean = 3.359, s.d = .525), while knowledge aspect found to be at moderate level with (mean = 2.623, s.d = .561) and high level for strategy aspect (mean = 3.602, s.d = .503). One-way ANOVA of this research further discovered that there was no significant difference between aspects of attitude, knowledge and strategy with teaching experience. Hence this paper presents the readiness of SETS to IEP in attitudes and strategies aspects for effective IEP practice while knowledge aspect needs to be improved.
