Although this collaboration has been fruitful, we argue it has also created a domino effect of imitation. Therefore, we advocate for the idea that Central American countries innovate new strategies, especially concerning national security issues, to replicate the objectives of other countries will only lead to failure.

Our research focuses on three analytical axes: national and regional security strategies, their breakdown, and application, aiming to identify effective and specific practices in combating drug trafficking in the region. We emphasize that understanding national perspectives within the framework of the regional strategy is essential for effectively addressing this threat, thereby promoting security and stability in the region.
