Tanah Merah consists of 3 small districts namely are Kusial, Ulu Kusial and Jedok are divided into 15 smaller areas called mukim that cover by 867.6 km² area. The latest statistics published by Ministry of Housing and Local Authorities, in 2010 total population of Tanah Merah is 116880 people. Although Kelantan is considered as undeveloped state but its major cities such as Kota Bharu and Tanah Merah is growing fast and experiencing rapid expansion. Level of urbanization can be measured by measuring the total urban area within the city, considering its parameters and an annual urban area growth rate. As the impact of urbanization, it should be take into consideration such as the need for better transportation system, efficient water supply system, the need of wider or extra residential, industrial and commercial area as well as better waste management system. Waste can be divided into many categories and compositions. Some of the categories are municipal solid waste, industrial waste, residential waste, agricultural waste, clinical waste etc. The most common composition of waste is food waste, plastics, metals, woods and papers. One of the most important things in managing solid waste is the landfill area where the wastes are disposed. The location and size of landfill area must be decided with certain considerations so that the wastes from landfill area will not cause pollution to the environment and give bad health effect to the people who reside in the nearest residential area. This study focuses on the impact of urban growth towards waste production in recently growing city in Kelantan which is Tanah Merah using data collected using Remote Sensing (RS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) as it is the most applicable and widely accepted methods to estimate the amount of waste that may be produced.

These higher-order models are obtained in the framework of the Carrera unified formulation (CUF). CUF is a hierarchical formulation in which the refined models are obtained with no need for ad hoc formulations. Beam theories are obtained on the basis of Taylor-type and Lagrange polynomial expansions. Assessments of these theories have been carried out by their applications to studies related to the buckling of various beam structures, like the beams with square cross section, I-section, thin rectangular cross section, and annular beams. The results obtained match very well with those from commercial finite element softwares with a significantly less computational cost. Further, various types of modes like the bending modes, axial modes, torsional modes, and circumferential shell-type modes are observed.

The results are given in the form of Euler-Bernoulli/Timoshenko to quasi three-dimensional (3D) solutions. Lower frequency bending and axial modes, as well as torsional and biaxial bending modes corresponding to higher frequency values, are predicted which are in very good agreement with 3D finite element results as well as the published literature. The effects of different parameters like taper ratio, thickness and beam/plate-aspect ratios on the vibration frequencies of tapered structures are studied. It can be seen that due to taper, bending vibration modes become asymmetric along the longitudinal axis of the structure. Further, it can also be noticed that the vibration behavior of thicker beams and plates is characterized by the ap...

We read the article by Tummala et al [1] with great interest. Apart from the type II Kounis syndr... more We read the article by Tummala et al [1] with great interest. Apart from the type II Kounis syndrome and iatrogenic administration of excess doses of epinephrine, other mechanisms could contribute to acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in this patient. During anaphylaxis, there will be rapid shift of intravascular fluid into the extravascular compartment, which can trigger the renninangiotensin-aldosterone system resulting in compensatory catecholamine release [2]. In addition, histamine could stimulate the release of catecholamines by a direct action on adrenal medulla [3], which initiates the coronary spasm or could rupture the atheroma plaque and causes platelet aggregation in patients with atherosclerotic coronary disease. Likewise, one cannot disregard the recent systematic reviews and meta-analyses [4,5], which shed light on emerging evidence that not only selective COX-2 inhibitors but also traditional nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may be associated with atherothrombotic events such as myocardial infarction and stroke. The available evidence points to the fact that diclofenac, in particular, is likely to increase hazard ratio for thrombotic cardiovascular events [6]. Diclofenac inhibits COX-2 to a higher level, which is coupled with an incomplete inhibition of COX-1, which alters the prostacyclin-thromboxane A2 balance, thus causing a prothrombotic situation [7]. The increased cardiovascular risk has been observed in patients with a prior high risk of cardiovascular disease and in previously healthy individuals. In addition, the prolonged systemic hypotension induced by vasoactive and inflammatory mediators released during anaphylaxis probably caused further reduction of the myocardial perfusion, thus favoring in situ thrombus formation and subsequent coronary artery occlusion. In the present case, the patient is at high risk for coronary artery disease in respect with his age, sex, and smoking habit. We can, therefore, deduce that prolonged coronary vasospasm and thrombotic vascular occlusion on top of the preexisting coronary artery disease might have played a major role in addition to the hypersensitivity reaction in this patient. To overcome druginduced morbidity and mortality in any case, the prescribers should look into patients' health status and coexisting illness(es), and the status of medicines such as pharmacokinetics, drug interactions, and contraindications. To bring these into reality, the health science education and training as well as accrediting bodies should enforce regular prescription auditing and monitoring. Let our prescriptions be patient centered and value driven.

This is the net result of new innovate track equipment, methods and scientific training and coaching. The inherent ability of individuals predominantly differs and has to be channelized for best results. The identification of potentials is combined responsibility of scientists and educationalists. The main purpose of the study was to find out certain performance variables that would contribute for the development of pole vaulting performance of men. Methods A total of 15 State elite Pole Vaulters were randomly selected as subjects for the study. The dependable variable was the performance of the subject in pole vault and the independent variable selected for the study were speed, height, weight, arm power, leg explosive power, hip flexibility, abdominal endurance, hand grip, effective hand grip and push-off. The Pearson product moment correlation was employed to determine the relationship between the criterion variable and the predictor variables. The multiple regression equation to predict the maximum vaulting height was developed with selected predictor variable. The level of significance was fixed 0.05. Results: The multiple regression analysis showed that the height of the hand grip, push-off and speed were strong predictors of maximum vaulting height. The results also showed that there are many influencing factors of hand grip on the pole like speed, strength, coordination, height of vaulter and the method of pole shift and plant. The push off and speed showed high degree of correlation with performance in pole vault. Conclusion: It was concluded that the speed, height of the hand grip on the pole and push off are very important predictors of reaching maximum height in the event.
