Both the antennas have been contrived, and their simulated return loss and radiation pattern results have been validated with the measurements. Antenna #1 is designed on the geometrical basis of a conventional Koch-curve monopole antenna. Moreover, the shape of antenna # 1 is bent with a two-step rotation process to yield antenna #2. There are two advantages to this geometrical modification: Firstly, the unique rotation in antenna #2 has further increased the mutual coupling between the segments of the Koch-curve geometry, and thus improved the impedance matching. Secondly, due to its geometric configuration that enhanced its ground plane size, the proposed antenna #2 has been able to demonstrate consistent simulation and measurement results. The compact ground plane in antenna #1 has been identified as the primary reason for the disagreement between the simulated and measured return loss results. The presented antennas have also been studied for the variation of indentation angles: θ=30 and θ=60.

Its deployment in rivers and water bodies underscores its adaptability and potential to significantly alleviate energy deficits in under-served areas. As the world grapples with the pressing need for a transition toward sustainable energy sources, this project serves as a beacon of ingenuity and progress. By broadening the scope of the original research and exploring avenues for further enhancement, this endeavor underscores the commitment to a future where accessible, clean, and efficient power generation can transform the lives of communities plagued by energy scarcity. The outcomes and implications of this research endeavor not only contribute to the field of renewable energy but also provide a foundation for future innovations in sustainable power generation systems.
Deployment of Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) relay transmission technique is an impera... more Deployment of Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) relay transmission technique is an imperative amendment in wireless networks to increase capacity and coverage of the existing base stations. The merger of MIMO and relaying techniques are becoming integral part of various wireless networks such 3G, 4G, LTE advanced and massive MIMO. The performance of relay assisted MIMO channels depends on the relay receive and transmit processing design. The relay processing is classified as linear and non-linear processing techniques. The non-linear techniques are optimal but for practical implementation they are difficult as they are high complex in nature. Therefore, preference is given to linear techniques resulting in simple, efficient and high performance relaying transmission methods

This limitation can be settled by introducing the multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) relay assisted maritime wireless network that can extend the reach of internet to the ships deep into the sea. The design challenges are many-fold. However, the focus would be on developing signal processing based theoretical model for a linear MIMO transceiver with perfect channel state information (CSI) utilizing amplify-forward (AF) relaying with maximum range and capacity. The novelty is in utilizing multiple relays cooperatively where spatial multiplexing both at transmitter and receiver would enhance diversity. The ZF based theoretical model so developed will be more helpful to reduce the interference effect.

Multiple antennas are deployed on each node of the network. A linear receive beam forming at relay is developed using signal-to- interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) maximization. Also a signal to leakage plus noise ratio (SLNR) based precoding is employed at the relay downlink. A computationally efficient Fukunaga Koontz Transform is used as a tool to solve optimization problem. A sufficiently large number of numerical experiments are conducted to validate the enactment of proposed beam forming technique. The results obtained using MATLAB confirm that, the proposed relay beam forming and relay downlink precoding schemes offer substantial performance gain in terms of ergodic capacity over existing methods.

A modified SML operator known as Cross Sum Modified Laplacian (XSML) operator is employed which contains diagonal component and improves the quality performance as compared to conventional SML operator. The Gaussian interpolation technique is used to model the focus measure function. In order to analyze, accomplish and validate the proposed algorithm several synthetically refocused real objects with varying textures are used. An intensive analysis in carried out based on quantitative and qualitative evaluation by using conventional methods and statistical metrics. Both evaluated quantitative and qualitative frameworks ensure and validate the optimality and efficiency of suggested algorithm.

DC motor has wide range of speed control used in different places such as robotics, auto-mobiles, drilling, cutting and domestic’s purposes etc. Armature voltage can be varied by inserting the resistance in series with armature of DC series motor. In this paper the conventional armature resistive control and PLC armature resistive controlled techniques have been exploited for controlling the speed the motor. PLC is used to control the armature resistance which decreases the armature voltage for changing the speed. The outcomes validate the efficiency of the projected method for the motor speed control.

The filters are designed to meet the IEEE standard 519-1992 which is recommended for harmonic current limits. Personal computers are non-linear loads that generate harmonics due to non-sinusoidal current present at entrance of power supply. In this work the personal computers in laboratory are taken as domestic load and harmonics generated by them cannot be ignored which are simulated using MATLAB/Simulink. The purpose is developing analytical method for the design of the passive harmonic filter that absorbs current harmonics caused by computer loads. The findings of this study would be supportive to make the source current free from harmonics thereby reducing the THD. Simulation results of proposed design method of passive filters shows attractive results for harmonic reduction with profit of upgrade of power factor. Design of passive harmonic filters by using non active power can be simple cost effective solution for systems.

Mistakes get presented at each phase of charging the energy rates, similar to blunders with conventional meters, reading errors by human while noticing the consumed energy; and blunder during the preparation of paid and the due bills. The solution for this downside is a prepaid charging or billing framework of consumed energy. Most of the developing countries are shifting their conventional energy management practices to the modern one by replacing the old and conventional energy meters with the smart meters outfitted with the prepaid facility to quantify the power consumption so as to decrease the income deficits looked by utilities because of customer unwillingness to make consumed energy payments on time. Our proposed design embedded with Arduino and GSM technology is advancement over conventional energy meter, which enables consumer to effectively manage their electricity usage. The system performance is good with the acquired results. An earlier charging will undoubtedly get rid of the issues of unpaid bills and human mistakes in meter readings, along these lines guaranteeing justified income for the utility.

In this paper, a time series modeling for these very short term forecasts is proposed by using a new auto-regressive algorithm, specifically designed for appropriate handling of large data records. The model divides the bulky data record into short segments and searches for the AR coefficients that simultaneously model the data with the least mean squared error. This approach can accurately forecast the one hour-ahead and one day-ahead loads of the weekdays. The proposed method can provide more accurate results than the conventional techniques, such as, standard AR-based algorithms, Burg and the seasonal Box-Jenkins ARIMA (SARIMA) and many of the intelligent hybrid approaches, where artificial neural networks are combined with evolutionary search methods. Obtained results from extensive testing of the proposed model confirm the validity of the developed approach. Three years load demand data of New South Wales (NSW) Australian power grid from 2011 to 2013 are used in the experimentation.

The sage propagation problem depends on the unsymmetrical fault type and winding connections of the distribution transformer. The characterization of the sage propagation is effected due to the zero sequence components. The detection of the voltage sage through sequence detection method is used to solve the problem. The obtained results reflect the characterization of voltage sag propagated from primary to the secondary winding of transformer during various connection schemes. The method adopted would be useful to analysis the power supply network for power quality in distribution transmission network.
