The purpose of our study was to provide some individual reference anthropometric values in terms of body height and weight, age, the highest points reached by the use of both hands in attack and block actions. The provided data will give us a general overview of the players' anthropometric characteristics regarding their court position. Furthermore, the team position specialization also requires some other biomechanical and dynamic indices of female volleyball players. Values found for height, body weight, and body mass index (BMI) showed similar trends and different characteristics depending on each player's specialization. The experiment started in september 2016 and was finished in june 2017, and had as samples two groups of children, the first group, the experimental group, consisted of 20 students aged between 10 and 12 years old, 12 boys and 8 girls, with whom we dealt with the 2 hours of physical education and sports from the curriculum and 3 more training sessions on initiation in basketball game; the second group, the control group, consisting of 20 pupils aged between 10 and 12 years old, 13 boys and 7 girls, with whom we spent 2 hours of physical education following the classical curriculum. Our study focuse on examining the agility skill on a mini basketball team, 12 players with age between 10 and 12 years old. The tests analyse coordination and speed combined with lateral movement, esential skills in nowadays basketball game. Methods. In our research we used as methods of research some specific agility test for basketball as: Lane Agility Drill, Half-court zigzag sprint, Agility Drill or Compass, Lane Arrow Closeout, Quadrant Jump Test. We had two tests, initial test in November 2014 and final test in May 2015. Also as research methods we used: observation method, statistical and mathematical research method. Results. Significant improvments can be seen from the initial test until final test, our experiment group Conclusions. Agility is an important skill in nowadays sport performance, coordination and speed; components of agility are very well developed in young age. Developing and testing agility can improve sport performance. After improving agility our team improved results in basketball games, so we can conclude that agility is an important component in teams development.

Sport activities are considered to be the perfect setting in training young generations, being ap... more Sport activities are considered to be the perfect setting in training young generations, being appreciated as an important socializing factor with increasingly higher value in modern society. Sport competitions does not only prove who is the best team or player, but are ways of bringing the sportives together to compete, know each other, socialize and make friends. Using the observation method and the questionnaire method, we tried to analyze the impact of sport competition on students socialization level. We build up a questionnaire using 15 items and applied it on the teams that participated in the 4th edition of mixed volleyball competition for students known as "Cupa Primăverii". However, this competition was reserved for students from the University "Lucian Blaga", Sibiu. The results showed us that students participated in this kind of activities to compete with others, play volleyball, make friends and socialize.

Both the development of biological and psychological characteristics, shaped by socialization process contributes to the continuing forming as summing and exercising new social roles and acquiring new experiences. Social learning theory has shown that socialization is made best in sport. According to specialists, practicing physical activities or sports influences youth personality and creates positive effects on body and mind. Using sociological and group questionnaire method, we will analyze the role and importance of socialization in motor activities and their mark on group cohesion and integration of marginalized students.

Aim. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationships in a basketball team (10-12 years old... more Aim. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationships in a basketball team (10-12 years old) using the socio-metric survey method and see if improving the communication, socialization level and cohesion of the team can influence the performance of our team. Methods. Our study focused on a group of young basketball players (12 males, 10-12 years old). We used as research methods the observation method, statistical method and socio-metric survey method. With this three research methods we were able to identify the problems in our group, the relationships between members of the group, the leaders of our team, team cohesion and we were able to discover the isolated members of the group and reintegrate them in the team. Results. The socio-metric survey method showed us that at the Initial test the cohesion of the team was very low 0.01 with 7 mutual elections and 6 mutual rejection, with a low communication and socialization level, many conflicts between players and the performance of our team was not so good with 10 games, 2 victories and 8 losses. At the Final test after developing the communication and socialization level between members of the group, reintegrate the isolated members and improving the relationships between players, the cohesion of the team has grown till 0,04 with 9 mutual elections 4 mutual rejections. Also the results showed significant improvements, our team registered after 10 games 7 victories and 3 losses. Conclusions. The socio-metric survey method is a very good way to understand and discover the relationships between players, leaders of the group and rejected members, also group cohesion and hierarchy of all members. Conclusions of our study showed us that improving group relationships, communication and socialization level, group cohesion and reintegrate the isolated members of our group, can help us in building a strong group with better results.

The primary means of discovery group characteristics is to study the preferential relationships. The school group is a powerful socializing and social integration framework, forming, developing and educating personality, bought individual and collective. In collectivity students forming and internal group relationships are encouraged, personality, combative spirit and the spirit of cooperation and mutual assistance. This study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of sport in increasing group cohesion, mutual attachment and collective spirit as well as integration of new members or dose that are isolated from the group. For children and youth, sports are ideal means for communication, socialization and integration.

The investigation started from the need to find the level of bio-motor and health development in ... more The investigation started from the need to find the level of bio-motor and health development in our Gymnasium School “Unirea” from Târgu Mureş. The research was also focused on discovering the children with BMI problems and finding the link between obesity and apparition of flat feet, spin and knee deficiencies. The methods of research were mainly experimental, we used anthropometric measurements of height, weight, body mass index and analyzed the parameters using statically and mathematical methods. The location of the study was the gymnasium level of the National College “Unirea” from Târgu Mureş, and involved 16 selected children with an average age 12.69 years old, 4 children with weight problems selected from every class level. The results of the investigation showed that the average height of the sample was 162.7 cm, weight 71 kg and a BMI average of 26.6.
