The purpose of this study is to model the strengthening of plateau vegetable farmers groups in Ba... more The purpose of this study is to model the strengthening of plateau vegetable farmers groups in Bali. One way is to transform group institutions into dynamic, empowered and business-oriented institutions. The study began by interviewing plateau farmer groups in Pancasari Village, Sukasada District of Buleleng and Candikuning Village, Baturiti Regency, Buleleng Regency, and also interviewing hotels as representatives of institutional consumers in the tourism industry. To get conditions that are more comprehensive, in-depth interviews were conducted with key informants. Next, a meeting of experts was followed to get a more comprehensive picture to be able to produce a model of strengthening the group of plateau vegetable farmers to meet the tourism market in Bali. ISM analysis is used in this research to get the driving force and dependence of the elements and sublements that build the modeling.Empirical facts, especially the difficulty of farmer groups to access institutional markets, production projections are not in accordance with institutional market needs, in groups there are no functional organizational structures (production divisions, processing divisions, and marketing divisions), and institutional supply chains that have not been optimally utilized as a reference in strengthening the farmer group expert meeting. As a result of the expert meeting, it was formulated that the establishment of a Socio-agro-enterprise institution would embrace inclusive all groups of vegetable farmers in the plateaus. The Village-owned business entity form is the right choice for new institutions. Village-owned business entity plateau vegetable farmers are the main players in the vegetable business operating in Bali. In running its business, Village-owned business entity carries out a vertical integration strategy that has a vegetable plantation and a packing place. However, to meet institutional consumer market demands beyond existing capacities, it is necessary to implement a vertical coordination strategy with Village-owned business entity partners in the open market, for the procurement of ready-to-sell vegetables or other groups of vegetable growers.Strengthening a group of vegetables oriented to the development of organizational management and strategic marketing and supported by government regulations in fostering market infrastructure ensures an increase in the performance of the vegetable supply chain and tourism market access. Implementation of an effective model of strengthening the plateau vegetable farmers group requires multisectoral synergy to increase innovation support and strengthening programs.

The contributing factor is quality bull shortage. One of the efforts that has been madeto improve thecattle productivity is artificial insemination (AI). This study aims to describe farmer perception on artificial insemination in WNT. This study used case study methodology for East Lombok and Sumbawa district. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected using FGD and in-depth interview methods, then analysed descriptively. This study showed that farmer perception on AI in East Lombok was more positive driven by bull scarcity and high price of cross bred calf. Meanwhile farmer perception on AI was less positive in Sumbawa influenced by low conception rates. This research aimed to gain more data and information related to by-product potencies of farming this chicken. The sample used were 210 chickenswhich was treated carefully. The data was taken at 6-12 weeks of slaughtered-age. The observed variables were the weight of blood, feather and internal organs respectively. The 3x7 complete randomized factorial designof experiment was used. The data was analysed by means of the analysis of variance using of GenStat software. Furthermore, the results show that KUB-1 chicken had more by-product potential such as blood and internal organ among thechickens being investigated and was significantly affected by the slaughter-age (P<0.01). The result of this research shows that the age of the underage workers is from 11 until 14 years old. They work at handicraft and printing industries. They work about 3.41 hours a day after schooling and earn about Rp.2.450 a day. They spend their earning for fulfilling their own need, paying tuition, or giving it to their parents. They work because they want to help their parents, want to get own money, to spend their spare time and to learn skills on handicraft and printing. Their parents support their activities because during their children work they will be able to stand alone, learn to save money and help their parents to fulfill daily needs. This research also find that the socialization of the regulation of Manpower has never done in this place, so that it is very important to socialize the rules to the village in order to give the village comprehending about their rights and duties as workers.

They are agriculture, tourism with its culture and Hindu religion and home industry to support agriculture and tourism sector. The rapid development in tourism sector is expected that the holticulture product especially local fruits could be accommodated by tourism industry especially the big or star hotels which most of them located at Badung Regency. But in this free trade globalization, imported fruits products spreading in Bali are as a tight competitors in order to be able market segment especially to the star hotels in Bali. The title of this research, the dominand factors for the demand of local fruits at star hotels in Badung Regency. The choice of this location is done by using purposive sampling. The purpose of this research are : (1) To identify the fruits needed at star hotels in Badung Regency. (2) To know the factors for demand of local fruits at star hotels in Badung Regency, and (3) To know the deminand factor for the demand of local fruits at star hotels in Badung Regency. The samples taken are 96 hotels by using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling Technique. The data are collected by using (1) observation, (2) interview, (3) questionnaire and (4) documented method. There are 18 fixed variable indicators and they are analized by using inductive statistic. It is factor of analizes. The result this research shows that : (1) There 10 kinds of fruits needed by the star hotels in Badung Regency such as : watermelon, melon, pineapple, papaya (popo), king banana, snakeskin fruit, kapok banana, gold banana, red apple and avocado. (2) There are 5 factors for local fruits demand at star hotels in Badung Regency. They are : the quality of the fruit, the price, hotel policy, continuation and government policy. (3) From those 5 factors available, exactly the quality of the fruits is as dominant factors to influence the demand of local fruits at the star hotels in Badung Regency. From the result of this research could be suggested for : (1) Farmers. They should develop their knowledge and skill for planting local fruit plantations by joining agriculture information through both newspaper and electronically. (2) The supplier should have commitment to local fruits by doing more marketing to the star hotels in Bali especially in Badung Regency. (3) The government should give more agricultural information to the farmers and also to provide superior quality of the seed which are needed by the farmers and more tight policy for the imported fruits.

This study aims to describe farmer perception on artificial insemination in WNT. This study used case study methodology for East Lombok and Sumbawa district. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected using FGD and in-depth interview methods, then analysed descriptively. This study showed that farmer perception on AI in East Lombok was more positive driven by bull scarcity and high price of cross bred calf. This research aimed to gain more data and information related to by-product potencies of farming this chicken. The sample used were 210 chickenswhich was treated carefully. The data was taken at 6-12 weeks of slaughtered-age. The observed variables were the weight of blood, feather and internal organs respectively. The 3x7 complete randomized factorial designof experiment was used. The data was analysed by means of the analysis of variance using of GenStat software. Furthermore, the results show that KUB-1 chicken had more by-product potential such as blood and internal organ among thechickens being investigated and was significantly affected by the slaughter-age (P<0.01). The result of this research shows that the age of the underage workers is from 11 until 14 years old. They work at handicraft and printing industries. They work about 3.41 hours a day after schooling and earn about Rp.2.450 a day. They spend their earning for fulfilling their own need, paying tuition, or giving it to their parents. They work because they want to help their parents, want to get own money, to spend their spare time and to learn skills on handicraft and printing. Their parents support their activities because during their children work they will be able to stand alone, learn to save money and help their parents to fulfill daily needs. This research also find that the socialization of the regulation of Manpower has never done in this place, so that it is very important to socialize the rules to the village in order to give the village comprehending about their rights and duties as workers.

They are agriculture, tourism with its culture and Hindu religion and home industry to support agriculture and tourism sector. The rapid development in tourism sector is expected that the holticulture product especially local fruits could be accommodated by tourism industry especially the big or star hotels which most of them located at Badung Regency. But in this free trade globalization, imported fruits products spreading in Bali are as a tight competitors in order to be able market segment especially to the star hotels in Bali. The title of this research, the dominand factors for the demand of local fruits at star hotels in Badung Regency. The choice of this location is done by using purposive sampling. The purpose of this research are : (1) To identify the fruits needed at star hotels in Badung Regency. (2) To know the factors for demand of local fruits at star hotels in Badung Regency, and (3) To know the deminand factor for the demand of local fruits at star hotels in Badung Regency. The samples taken are 96 hotels by using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling Technique. The data are collected by using (1) observation, (2) interview, (3) questionnaire and (4) documented method. There are 18 fixed variable indicators and they are analized by using inductive statistic. It is factor of analizes. The result this research shows that : (1) There 10 kinds of fruits needed by the star hotels in Badung Regency such as : watermelon, melon, pineapple, papaya (popo), king banana, snakeskin fruit, kapok banana, gold banana, red apple and avocado. (2) There are 5 factors for local fruits demand at star hotels in Badung Regency. They are : the quality of the fruit, the price, hotel policy, continuation and government policy. (3) From those 5 factors available, exactly the quality of the fruits is as dominant factors to influence the demand of local fruits at the star hotels in Badung Regency. From the result of this research could be suggested for : (1) Farmers. They should develop their knowledge and skill for planting local fruit plantations by joining agriculture information through both newspaper and electronically. (2) The supplier should have commitment to local fruits by doing more marketing to the star hotels in Bali especially in Badung Regency. (3) The government should give more agricultural information to the farmers and also to provide superior quality of the seed which are needed by the farmers and more tight policy for the imported fruits.
