The process of change of the catenary system voltage was found to have a stochastic character. The method of current controller synthesis based on the Wiener–Hopf equation was proposed to enable efficient performance of the traction drive control system under the condition of the stochastic nature of the catenary system voltage and the presence of interferences, when measuring the stator current values of the tractor motor. Performance simulation of the proposed current controller and the current controller used in the existing vector control systems of the traction drives used in the electric locomotives was implemented. Розкрито переваги та недоліки цих систем. Розглянуто принцип дії та складові систем, завдяки яким здійснюється фіксація та контроль параметрів зносу колісних пар. Стаціонарний пристрій для контролю технічного стану колісних пар рухомого складу залізниць, запропонований авторами, особливо актуальний при оперативному виявленні дефектів колісних пар, які є загрозою безпеки руху поїздів. Зроблено висновок про те, що на залізницях України не повною мірою впроваджено повноцінний автоматизований контроль технічного стану колісних пар. In the middle of the 90s the deterioration of wheels flanges and lateral rail surfaces on roads i... more In the middle of the 90s the deterioration of wheels flanges and lateral rail surfaces on roads in the countries of CIS from natural process of wear process of surfaces has turned to the sharp problem which has received the status of a «rail plague». On separate roads the lateral deterioration of rails has reached 1 mm times 10 6 tons, by exceeding a level of normative deterioration in some times. Thus the run of wheel pairs between regrinding on flange undercuts was reduced in by 3-5 times [5]. In the article some ways of elimination of deterioration of wheels and rails are considered. The technique of process modeling of parameters changes of deterioration is offered. ЗАКОНОМЕРНОСТИ ФОРМООБРАЗОВАНИЯ ПРОФИЛЯ КОЛЕСА В ПРОЦЕССЕ ИЗНОСА ПОВЕРХНОСТИ КАТАНИЯ В ЭКСПЛУАТАЦИИ Резюме. В середине 90-х годов износ гребней колес и боковых поверхностей рельсов на дорогах стран СНГ из естественного процесса изнашивания трущихся поверхностей превратился в острую проблему, получившую статус «рельсовой чумы». На отдельных дорогах боковой износ рельсов достиг 1 мм на 106 т, превысив уровень нормативного износа в несколько раз. При этом пробег колесных пар между обточками по подрезу гребня сократился в 3-5 раз [5]. В статье рассмотрены некоторые способы устранения износа колес и рельсов. Предлагается методика моделирования процесса изменения параметров износа.

Rail transport performs significant volumes of transportation work and is one of the largest ener... more Rail transport performs significant volumes of transportation work and is one of the largest energy consumers in all developed countries of the world. Most of the energy used in railway transport is spent on train traction. To improve its energy efficiency, it is advisable to carry out measures aimed at reducing the resistance to movement of trains. A special contribution to the creation of resistance to the movement of rail vehicles is made by processes associated with the interaction of the wheel flange with the rail in the case of two-point contact, when additional parasitic differential slip occurs in the ridge contact. It is impossible to avoid this slippage without changing the traditional structural scheme of the wheel (with monolithic production of its supporting and guiding surfaces). The work considers the kinematics of the movement of the ridge along the lateral face of the rail head during rolling of the wheel of the rail carriage. An analytical expression is obtained for the approximate determination of the length of the wheel flange slipping path along the lateral face of the rail head, taking into account the conditions of its contact with the rail. The features of the kinematics of the wheels movement of the traditional and perspective (with the possibility of independent rotation of the bearing surface of the wheel and its guide surface) of the design scheme are analyzed. The levels of work of the friction forces in the ridge contacts of the wheels of different design schemes are determined. The results of the analysis suggest that the use of wheels of a perspective design in the undercarriage of rail vehicles can significantly reduce the kinematic resistance to movement and wear of the contacting surfaces of the wheel and rail by reducing the slip of wheel crests along the side faces of the rail heads.

It was found that during operation in the output converter of an asynchronous motor, defects may occur, which leads to asymmetric modes of its operation. Models of a traction drive of an electric locomotive with asynchronous motors with scalar and vector control of the output converter are proposed, taking into account asymmetric operating modes. As a result of the simulation, the starting characteristics of the traction drive were obtained for various control methods both in normal and emergency modes of the drive. For the drive-in emergency mode, the following cases were investigated: the balance of the converter output voltages and the turn-to-turn circuit of 10% of phase A winding of the motor stator; imbalance of the output voltages of the inverter and an intact motor; imbalance of the output voltages of the converter and interturn short circui...

The issue of determining the traction and energy characteristics of electric rolling stock with a... more The issue of determining the traction and energy characteristics of electric rolling stock with asynchronous traction drive is considered. It is noted that such rolling stock can work at any point of the traction area, resulting in the need to determine the characteristics of the rolling stock for the entire traction area. The calculation of the characteristics of the traction induction motor, which are the basis for determining the traction and energy characteristics of the electric rolling stock, is considered in detail. A procedure based on the calculation of the replacement circuit of an induction motor is proposed. The calculation of power losses due to higher harmonic voltages and currents is considered. An example of calculation of traction and energy characteristics of an DC electric shunting locomotive with a traction asynchronous electric drive is given.

The value of the life cycle of rolling stock wheels is determined by the frequency of maintenance... more The value of the life cycle of rolling stock wheels is determined by the frequency of maintenance, in the process of which the turning is carried out to restore the profiles of the rolling surfaces, or the replacement of completely worn wheels. Traffic safety depends on the technical condition of the wheels of locomotives and wagons. Maintenance and repair of wheelsets accounts for about 30% of all costs of Ukrzaliznytsia's rolling stock repair units. Wheel repair technologies are based on the complete restoration of wheel profiles by turning, using which, their life cycle is reduced, and costs increase by 20% or more. The railways of Ukraine use an outdated, unreasonable, inefficient system of control over the formation of rolling surfaces in operation. The main reasons for this situation are the lack of strategies for the effective formation and implementation of management actions aimed at ensuring the necessary level of utilization of the power supply. Appropriate strategies for effective formation and implementation of administrative actions aimed at ensuring the necessary level of utilization of production and technological potential of metro power supply units are considered. On the basis of modern control technologies, a computer system for controlling operating modes of electric networks can be implemented, which ensures increased reliability, energy efficiency and traffic safety. The intellectual system of metro power supply organized this way is a breakthrough assembly of interconnected electric traction networks with computer environment and technologies for its management, consumers, generating capacities and means of protection, united on the basis of modern principles of a single information space, self-regulation, self-renewal, the principle of supporting a united model of primary data, the principle of synchronous information exchange. Carrying out a complex of organizational changes and construction of new process models are planned, along with attraction of new solutions in the field of information technologies, finding new ways and means of informatization, as well as intellectualization of the processes of power supply management [1], implementation of control and reliability forecast, increase of operational efficiency, optimization of power consumption and increase of movement safety and innovations in the field of creation of technological processes automated control system, which requires a qualitatively new level of informatization [2]. To improve the accuracy of its mathematical model, it is necessary to use the values of the parameters that are determined in experimental studies of the electric motor. In particular, it is important to use in the model of the electric motor inductance obtained experimentally. A method is proposed for calculating the inductance of the armature winding, main poles, additional poles and compensation winding and the total inductance of the traction motor armature circuit. The calculations are based on the results of the indirect inductance measurement method, in which the electrical values of various modes of power supply of the electric motor windings are directly measured, and the inductances are determined by auxiliary calculations. Mathematical modeling of electromagnetic processes in a traction motor of pulsating current is applied taking into account the nonlinear nature of the armature inductance, the inductance of the excitation winding and the nonlinear nature of the universal magnetic characteristic. The term steerability is widely used in the motion theory of wheel and track-laying machines, wat... more The term steerability is widely used in the motion theory of wheel and track-laying machines, water and air vehicles, spacecraft. Steerability is a property of a transport machine to submit to the managing influence. Steerability of the machine is defined by its reaction to managing influence on the part of managing in the form of changing travelling course or lateral kinematical parameters. For example, in automobiles this influence is shown in the turn of a steering wheel, in planes it is a turn of steering wheel or controller handle and so on. Railway vehicles, as known, have no similar bodies of control. The change of the moving is carried out by a rail track under the influence of horizontal travelling forces. Using the terminology from the control of wheel carriers, the author considers qualitative parameters of steerability of rail vehicles, connecting them with additional influence on vehicles of the railway in the process of control.

In order to ensure the uninterrupted performance of passenger traffic, the task of ensuring the o... more In order to ensure the uninterrupted performance of passenger traffic, the task of ensuring the operation of rolling stock outside the extended service life, including passenger cars for the carriage of passengers, remains relevant. Based on this, there is a need for comprehensive research aimed at substantiating the possibility of ensuring operation while maintaining dynamic and strength characteristics. The article examines the residual life of load-bearing metal structures of passenger cars based on the results of technical diagnostics and standard tests. It is concluded that the condition of the load-bearing metal structures of passenger cars built by the Kryukiv Carriage Plant (KСP) after long operation does not approach the limit. The obtained practical and theoretical results make it possible to extend the service life of passenger cars for the construction of KCP beyond the factory set by 41 years.

Traffic safety depends on the technical condition of the wheels of locomotives and wagons. Maintenance and repair of wheelsets accounts for about 30% of all costs of Ukrzaliznytsia's rolling stock repair units. Wheel repair technologies are based on the complete restoration of wheel profiles by turning, using which, their life cycle is reduced, and costs increase by 20% or more. The main reasons for this situation are the lack of strategies for the effective formation and implementation of management actions aimed at ensuring the necessary level of utilization of the power supply. Appropriate strategies for effective formation and implementation of administrative actions aimed at ensuring the necessary level of utilization of production and technological potential of metro power supply units are considered. On the basis of modern control technologies, a computer system for controlling operating modes of electric networks can be implemented, which ensures increased reliability, energy efficiency and traffic safety. The intellectual system of metro power supply organized this way is a breakthrough assembly of interconnected electric traction networks with computer environment and technologies for its management, consumers, generating capacities and means of protection, united on the basis of modern principles of a single information space, self-regulation, self-renewal, the principle of supporting a united model of primary data, the principle of synchronous information exchange. Carrying out a complex of organizational changes and construction of new process models are planned, along with attraction of new solutions in the field of information technologies, finding new ways and means of informatization, as well as intellectualization of the processes of power supply management [1], implementation of control and reliability forecast, increase of operational efficiency, optimization of power consumption and increase of movement safety and innovations in the field of creation of technological processes automated control system, which requires a qualitatively new level of informatization [2]. To improve the accuracy of its mathematical model, it is necessary to use the values of the parameters that are determined in experimental studies of the electric motor. In particular, it is important to use in the model of the electric motor inductance obtained experimentally. A method is proposed for calculating the inductance of the armature winding, main poles, additional poles and compensation winding and the total inductance of the traction motor armature circuit. Steerability is a property of a transport machine to submit to the managing influence. Steerability of the machine is defined by its reaction to managing influence on the part of managing in the form of changing travelling course or lateral kinematical parameters. For example, in automobiles this influence is shown in the turn of a steering wheel, in planes it is a turn of steering wheel or controller handle and so on. Railway vehicles, as known, have no similar bodies of control. The change of the moving is carried out by a rail track under the influence of horizontal travelling forces. Using the terminology from the control of wheel carriers, the author considers qualitative parameters of steerability of rail vehicles, connecting them with additional influence on vehicles of the railway in the process of control.

In order to ensure the uninterrupted performance of passenger traffic, the task of ensuring the o... more In order to ensure the uninterrupted performance of passenger traffic, the task of ensuring the operation of rolling stock outside the extended service life, including passenger cars for the carriage of passengers, remains relevant. Based on this, there is a need for comprehensive research aimed at substantiating the possibility of ensuring operation while maintaining dynamic and strength characteristics. The article examines the residual life of load-bearing metal structures of passenger cars based on the results of technical diagnostics and standard tests. It is concluded that the condition of the load-bearing metal structures of passenger cars built by the Kryukiv Carriage Plant (KСP) after long operation does not approach the limit. The obtained practical and theoretical results make it possible to extend the service life of passenger cars for the construction of KCP beyond the factory set by 41 years.
