The investigation question was: are there any disputes between teachers and students about the message transmission/reception in didactic communication? The answer is yes, there is a dispute about the communication process in formal school: teachers see the factors influencing communication as related to students' preparation and students, to the teacher's personality; the dominant language is verbal for teachers and nonverbal for students, etc. Didactic communication can be optimized if the disputes of the stakeholders in education will be brought to a common denominator.

We initiated a consultation with those mentioned above, but also with experts in the educational sciences from the educational system of Brasov county. Our hypotheses concerning this situation were: the criteria for selection of candidates for teacher training programs for preschool and primary school teachers; the consistency and management of teaching practice; the impact of certain projects on the skill set of beginning teacher.

All these are characteristics of institutional pedagogy that holds forms specific to the transition period that Romanian pedagogy is crossing nowadays. The investigations conducted in the field belong mostly to an inductive qualitative-interpretative paradigm and the results show the mentality and lifestyle which locals have in this area, within the social and community context and which actually define the traditional rural culture in the Romanian villages from the mentioned areas. All these elements were amplified by writing and implementing school-decision optional courses which we can generically call spatial and temporal landmarks of a „Geography education” of the rural South – East of Transylvania.

Everyone should be aware of sustainable development, which generates the need for education of the human factor from the perspective of changing mentalities in order to build a community able to use its resources rationally and efficiently. Knowing that the insertion of sustainable development on the human capital level is optimally achieved by starting with the training of trainers, our investigation aims to study the opportunities for social promotion of the concept of sustainability through initial and continuous training programmes. It is a great occasion for promoting the diversity, the multiple perspectives and the affirmation of "local" in the context of globalization. "A different school" programme invites us (teachers and students) to exercise self-knowledge and deep knowledge of the other, an exercise in comparison and admiration, acceptance and tolerance.
