Cloud computing technology provides shared computing which can be accessed over the Internet. Whe... more Cloud computing technology provides shared computing which can be accessed over the Internet. When cloud data centers are flooded by end-users, how to efficiently manage virtual machines to balance both economical cost and ensure QoS becomes a mandatory work to service providers. Virtual machine migration feature brings a plenty of benefits to stakeholders such as cost, energy, performance, stability, availability. However, stakeholder's objectives are usually conflicted with each other. Also, the optimal resource allocation problem in cloud infrastructure is usually NP-Hard or NP-Complete class. In this paper, the virtual migration problem is formulated by applying game theory to ensure both load balance and resource utilization. The virtual machine migration algorithm, named V2PQL, is proposed based on Markov Decision Process and Q-learning algorithm. The results of the simulation demonstrate the efficiency of our proposal which are divided into training phase and extraction p...

This present study proposes a design and the analysis of the novel adaptive robust neural network... more This present study proposes a design and the analysis of the novel adaptive robust neural networks (ARNNs) based on the backstepping control method for industrial robot manipulators (IRMs). In this research, the ARNNs controller has combined the advantages of Radial Basis Function neural network (RBFNN), the robust term, and adaptive backstepping control technique without the requirement of prior knowledge. The RBFNN is used in order to approximate the unknown function to deal with external disturbances and uncertain nonlinearities. In addition, the disturbance of system is compensated by the robust Sliding Mode Control (SMC). All the parameters of ARNNs are determined by the Lyapunov stability theorem, are tuned online by an adaptive training law. Therefore, the stability, robustness, and desired tracking of the performance of ARNNs for IRMs are guaranteed.

Olanzapine is a second-generation antipsychotic drug commonly prescribed for certain mental/mood conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. This agent has been considered a precipitating factor for venous thromboembolism formation. Most of the cases previously reported were associated with high-dose olanzapine therapy or in patients with high-risk factors for the development of thromboembolism. Case Presentation. We report a patient who developed pulmonary embolism after a long course of low-dose olanzapine. A 66-year-old female patient suffering from insomnia had been prescribed olanzapine 2.5 mg and paroxetine 10 mg for two years. The patient suddenly developed a syncopal episode at home and was immediately brought to the hospital. The diagnosis of pulmonary embolism was made by chance during the computerized tomography of coronary arteries. The patient made a full recovery under conventional treatment and was discharged in stable condition. The thoracic c...

Methods: We reported on a group of University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City patients who were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection and were suitable for mini-pulse corticosteroid therapy with 125 mg of methylprednisolone twice daily for at least three days. Demographics, clinical, laboratory, and outcome data were gathered by electronic medical report. We also compared laboratory data before and after the start of mini-pulse corticosteroid therapy, as well as between the discharged and deceased groups. Results: We gathered data on 25 patients. The average age was 61.5 ± 11.9 years, and 52% of them were male. Dyspnea was the most prevalent chief complaint. Almost all of them had at least one co-morbidity, with hypertension being the most common; all of them were put on oxygen supplementation, and 44% were started on mini-pulse corticosteroid whi...

However, current real world there is not enough suitable and tangible method for decision makers to make sure rationality of such a huge IT investment. Thus, we studied and defined new method so called as the p-ICN to provide them suitable capability to evaluate the performance of any Enterprise Architectures. Moreover, proved its effectiveness to achieve a solution of the defined problem with well-known applied enterprise architecture as simple as possible.

Each service function requires different metadata, therefore a common metadata scheme for all SFs in SFC domain is redundant and sometime unsecured. This document describes use cases for using multiple NSH Metadata schemes in single and multiple SFC domains and proposes a general architecture and method for coordinating heterogenous Metadata schemes in SFC.

Surgery is the mainstay of therapy, but the extent of lymph node (LN) recovery necessary for optimal care of jejunoileal SBA is unknown. The SEER database was queried to identify patients whose primary jejunoileal SBA was diagnosed between 1995 and 2005. Patients were grouped by AJCC stage and number of LNs recovered from the surgical specimen. Of 1444 patients with primary SBA, 93 (6.4%), 529 (36.6%), 356 (24.7%), and 466 (32.3%) were initially diagnosed with stage I, II, III, and IV disease, respectively. Five-year overall survival (OS) rate was 59.8%, 39.5%, 27.0%, and 3.2% for patients with stage I, II, III, and IV SBA, respectively. When ≥10 nodes were recovered, OS rate increased nonsignificantly in stage I (73.2% vs. 55.6%) and significantly in stage II (61.8% vs. 32.9%, P < .001) but was unchanged in stage III (27.4% vs. 27.3%, P = .13). Recovery of ≥10 nodes occurred in 26.9%, 23.6%, and 42.1% of patients with stage I, II, and III SBA, respectively. Multivariate analysis identified age, AJCC stage, site of primary tumor, recovery of ≥10 LNs, and number of positive nodes as significant for OS. We have found SBA staging is largely inadequate. Our results suggest recovery of ≥10 LNs ensures accurate staging. Improvement in stage II SBA OS after adequate LN may reflect a high degree of understaging in this dataset rather than a therapeutic effect of LAD.
