Philosophy is the field which investigates the perspective on and attitude against life in the di... more Philosophy is the field which investigates the perspective on and attitude against life in the dimensions of logic, values, knowledge and existence. It is obvious that management, which is defined as directing and management process, involves a philosophical dimension. Main purpose of this study is to discuss the basic issues regarding management philosophy and field of philosophy in the context of organizational management. The views on management in the dimensions of ontology, epistemology and axiology; nature of the knowledge of the aforesaid dimensions and definitions of basic issues and concepts in management are investigated and discussed. The study is based on document analysis and systematic compiling pattern. It is observed in the study that organizations are at the extremes in terms of material and moral values based on idealist and materialist philosophies within the context of ontology. In the context of epistemology, management of organizations is differentiated based on true, practical, pragmatist, idealist and realistic knowledge. In the context of axiology, values are formed based on subjective, constant, unchangeable, absolute and objective, variable and factual situations. In the second sub-dimension of the study, social responsibility, quality, efficiency, effectiveness, organizational justice, ruling class, management authority and individual as basic concepts in management are examined in terms of various philosophies. According to idealism, dedication, rationalism and sense of ideal bureaucracy become prominent while control, consideration of reality and assessment prevail in realistic philosophy. According to materialism, labor, collective ownership and class struggle themes are the premises. In reference to liberalism, freedom, individual, private property, efficiency, effectiveness and quality notions are dominant. Pragmatists highlight the principles of benefit, functional work and industrial democracy. As for Postmodernism, labor entrusted to market, deregulation, total quality, liberalism, the concept of bureaucratic elitist groups versus bureaucratic cosmopolite power and the motto of anything goes are prominent. It is suggested that issues regarding management be examined in detail by qualitative and quantitative studies.

Bu kapsamda, 2010 yilindan sonra Egitim Yonetimi adi altinda basilmis 7 kitap arastirmanin calisma grubunu olusturmustur. Arastirmanin yontemi nitel arastirma yontemlerinden dokuman incelemesi olarak belirlenmistir. Veriler dokuman analizi yontemiyle analiz edilmistir. Various variables in social, economic and political dimensions affect the administration of educa... more Various variables in social, economic and political dimensions affect the administration of education systems of countries. Turkish education system is fundamentally based on the principles manifested in the Basic Law of National Education. In Turkey, education has always been under the influence of such social and political movements as socialist, liberal, social-democratic groups and Kemalism, conservative and political Islamic groups and Turkish nationalism. The main purpose of this study is to reveal how and under which principles of the basic principles of national education have changed in the historical developmental process. The study is a document review type of research. Thematic analysis was used combined with interpretivist approach in the process of analyzing and interpreting data obtained from the document review. As a result, these findings have been reached: The change in the basic principles generally happens during the social, economic and political turbulent periods of the country. The academic and scientific view on educational problems remains weak compared to the philosophical, political and belief-based views. The principles have been interpreted based on philosophical, belief, ethnic and political views increasing in Turkish society. It is recommended to investigate the basic principles and the researches and the articles which have been written on basic principles from different perspectives at historical, social, economic and politic dimensions. Also, it is recommended to compare the basic laws and principles of education in other countries to Turkish equivalents.

Arastirmaya konu edilen dort siyasi partinin secim bildirgelerindeki egitim boyutlari, egitimi yonetimi ve denetimi ile butce ve egitim ekonomisi baglaminda iki tema altinda degerlendirilmistir. The study primarily analyzes the functions of media through sociological approaches. In this cont... more The study primarily analyzes the functions of media through sociological approaches. In this context, the main purpose of the research is, first, to determine how often and to what extent daily local newspapers in Eskisehir covers articles in education. Second, the study also inquires into how often and to what extent articles in education are covered in regard to media functions. It is also aimed to determine how often and what percentage of the newspapers articles concerning education in accordance with functions of media. The results of the research can be summarized as follows: Concerning the coverage the weekly share of education articles is five percent. In regard to frequency, articles about economy are given the most space while articles related to entertainment are not published at all. When content is considered articles providing news and information are mostly published. Among some suggestions of the study are the use of newspapers in formal education, school and media partnership, and a specific education page in newspapers.

Özet. Bu araştırmanın amacı, 1999, 2011 ve 2014 tarihli müfettişlik yönetmeliklerini müfettiş yar... more Özet. Bu araştırmanın amacı, 1999, 2011 ve 2014 tarihli müfettişlik yönetmeliklerini müfettiş yardımcılığına atanma koşullarını, yarışma sınavı ve müfettiş yetiştirme boyutlarını denetçi rol ve yeterlikleri açısından karşılaştırmaktır. Çalışma, doküman incelemesi türünde bir araştırmadır. Araştırmaya konu edilen üç yönetmelik denetçi rol ve yeterlikleri bağlamında değerlendirilmiş ve betimsel içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular araştırmanın amacı doğrultusundaki kategoriler çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Sonuç olarak, yönetmeliklerde merkezi yönetim anlayışının ve bürokratik işleyişin egemen olduğu görülmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra yirmi birinci yüzyılın değişim hızı göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, müfettişlerin rolleri giderek çeşitlenmekte ve yeterlik alanlarında genişleme söz konusu olmaktadır. Buna bağlı olarak yönetmeliklerin, eskiden yeniye doğru daha işlevsel ve bütüncül bir nitelik arz ettiği ve giderek küreselleşme ve neo-liberal dönüşüm eğilimi gösterdiği görülmektedir. Yönetmeliklerdeki denetçi rol ve yeterlikleri açısından gözlenen kısmi değişimin yanı sıra; içeriğin de, ağırlıklı olarak sosyo-ekonomik ve politik boyutlu gereksinimleri karşılayacak biçimde hazırlandığı görülmektedir.
