The entrepreneurial bricolage theory has been connected to a wide range of organizational phenome... more The entrepreneurial bricolage theory has been connected to a wide range of organizational phenomena, including innovation, firm performance, social entrepreneurship, and opportunity identification. Regrettably, research in this domain is yet to significantly heighten understanding of its connection to competitive advantage, which has been touted as the ultimate goal of any strategic business. This study reverses this trend by looking at the impact of entrepreneurial bricolage on competitive advantage as well as the mediating effect of resource orchestration capability in the relationship. Based on survey data administered to 413 small business enterprises (SBEs), structural equation modeling was used to analyze the results. Results show that entrepreneurial bricolage was significantly related to competitive advantage. The moderating role of fear & panic in the relationship between awareness and behavioral change was also ascertained. The study was based on 304 residents in Ghana. Descriptive analysis was first conducted using SPPS software (v.23). After which Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was run to estimate the path coefficients, using Amos software (v.23). It was concluded that, government communication had a significant positive effect on behavioral change. Further, government communication had a significant positive effect on COVID-19 awareness, while awareness subsequently had a significant positive effect on behavioral change among the citizens. The study assessed the moderating role of risk management capabilities in the relationship betwee... more The study assessed the moderating role of risk management capabilities in the relationship between service innovation and financial performance of insurance firms. A survey research design was adopted, with a quantitative research approach. The population of comprises life and non-life insurance companies in Ghana, numbering 39. There were 17 insurance firms selected for the study, from which 161 management staff were drawn as respondents. Data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The study concludes that, risk management capability had a positive moderative effect on the relationship between service innovation and financial performance of insurance companies in Ghana. This notwithstanding, both service innovation and risk management capability had a direct significant positive effect on financial performance of insurance firms. For stronger financial position, firms should endeavor to invest in both service innovation and effective risk management practices. The main contribution of this study centers on the interactive effect of service innovation and risk management capability. Although direct effects of service innovation and risk management, on financial performance have been established in literature, the interactive effect of these two predicting variables has not been well established in literature.

The study focused on nine (9) rated hotels (3 to 5-star rating) in Ghana. In all, 676 clients were selected from these hotels within a period of 3 months. The dimensions of Hofstede’s model were used in measuring individual’s cultural orientation, whiles SERVQUAL model was also used in measuring perceived service quality. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was run to check for the validity and reliability of the measurement instrument. The study concludes that, low power distance cultural orientation had a positive effect on all the dimensions of perceived service quality of high rated hotels. Low uncertainty avoidance had a positive effect on perceived service assurance, tangibility and responsiveness. It also had a negative effect on perceived service empathy. The study was based on 385 manufacturing firms. Various validity and reliability checks were conducted before the presentation of the actual analysis, which was conducted using Ordinary Least Squares approach, run using SPSS (v. 20). Findings revealed that, Green Procurement Practices, Green Manufacturing Practices, and Green Distribution Practices, had a significant effect on manufacturing firms' performance and competitive advantage. Although Reverse Logistics had no significant effect on manufacturing firms' performance, it had a significant effect on their competitive advantage.

Design/methodology/approach The study focused on the commercial customers (small and medium-scale enterprises– (SMEs)) of Electricity Company of Ghana Ltd. There were 350 SMEs sampled for the study, and each had no more than 99 employees. Respondents were either owner-managers or employee-managers. Structural equation model (SEM) was used in estimating the effects among the variables studied. Findings Most public institutions have a built-in customer base, and therefore places less emphasis on employees’ customer orientation. Design/methodology/approach The study was based on primary data gathered from 302 EMNEs in Ghana. After various validity and reliability checks, structural equation modeling in Amos (v.23) was performed to estimate the various relationships hypothesized in the study. Findings The study finds that stakeholder risk had a significant negative effect on the success of EMNEs’ new products. This negative effect is, however, nullified by the positive mediating effects of strategic green marketing orientation, tactical green marketing orientation and internal green marketing orientation. It also considered the moderating role of entrepreneurial orientation, as well as the mediating role of exploitative learning. Empirical analysis was based on primary data gathered from 156 MNE subsidiaries. Various validity and reliability checks were conducted before the presentation of the actual analysis, which was conducted using Ordinary Least Squares approach, run using SPSS (v. 20). Findings indicate that, exploitative learning partially mediates the relationship between internal knowledge sourcing and MNE subsidiaries’ service innovation performance. Entrepreneurial orientation however, dampens the positive relationship between internal knowledge sourcing and exploitative learning. This study adds to the existing debate in the arena of knowledge-based view of the firm.

In the Abossey-Okai business enclave, the cross-sectional method was used to distribute questionnaires to owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to evaluate the various dimensions of the study. The results indicate that all SCI dimensions (customer, internal, and supplier) had a positive and significant effect on firm performance. Also, ICT had a positive moderating influence on the relationship between SCI dimensions and firm performance. ICT had a significant impact on firm performance. Data analysis was done by means of descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression. Results indicate a weak market orientation practiced by the utility companies. This is achieved through individual factors (attitude towards behavior, entrepreneurial motivation, entrepreneurial resource and perceived behavioral control) and entrepreneurship education. A quantitative survey design was used to collect information from a study sample of 255 undergraduate agriculture science students from the College of Agriculture Education, Mampong - University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. Survey design was utilized to gather data from 430 customers of the public utility companies in Ghana. Data analysis was done by means of descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression. Results indicate a weak market orientation practiced by the utility companies. Consequently, customer’s perception of service quality and satisfaction with the services with regards to the case company was affected. Market orientation concept has enjoyed tremendous review in the private sector compared to the public sector.
