Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 1 Fen Lisesi ve 6 Anadolu Lisesi’nden toplam 14 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Her bir öğrencinin çoktan seçmeli soruları çözüm süreçlerine ait gözlem kayıtları ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmelerden elde edilen verilerin transkriptleri yapılmış ve analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda soruları doğru yanıtlayan öğrencilerin soruları yanlış yanıtlayan öğrencilerden farklı olarak zihinde canlandırma, orantı kurma, kelimeleri kalemi ya da parmağıyla takip ederek okuma, kendine soru sorma gibi bilişsel stratejiler ile ipuçlarının altını çizme ya da yuvarlak içerisine alma, seçeneklere işaret koyma, tekrar okuma, önemli noktaları tekrarlama, soru metnindeki şekil, tabl...

Altındane) resistance to B toxicity (10 mM B). The plants were raised in hydroponic culture with control, B toxicity, B+glutathione, B+proline, glutathione and proline. B+glutathione and B+proline resisted the detrimental influences of B toxicity on the root and shoot lengths, the total chlorophyll, and phenolic contents. B toxicity increased superoxide radicals (O2.-), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), lipid peroxidation (MDA), and proline contents while B+glutathione and B+proline applications diminished the mentioned parameters with the exception of the proline content. Individual B toxicity and combined B+glutathione and B+proline applications increased generally total ascorbic acid and glutathione levels in the wheat while the B+proline application decreased GSH content. The B toxicity decrease...

Hido) exposed to boron toxicity (B) (8 mM B(OH)3) and B+chitosan (0.01%, foliar (A) and seed soaking (B) applications) conditions in hydroponic culture have been studied comparatively. Boron toxicity significantly reduced growth parameters, chlorophyll, carotenoid, AsA, DHA and CAT activity while increased proline, MDA, oxidants (O2.- and H2O2), SOD, POD, APX and GR activities and GSH levels. B+Chitosan A and B applications significantly reversed the B toxicity-based inhibition in these parameters. It has been suggested that chitosan can...

It was found that enzymatic browning was the highest in Agria, the lowest in Isola; soluble protein content was the lowest in Agria and Granula, the highest in Isola; Vitamin C content was the lowest in Agria, the highest in Famosa. As a result of this, Isola and Famosa were observed to be the most convenient cultivars in terms of tuber quality.

For this purpose, salt (50 and 100 mM NaCI) and cold stress (12/7oC) separately or in combinations (cross stress) were applied and studied the alterations of root and stem growth, total soluble protein content and antioxidant enzyme activities (superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX)) associated with induction of cold hardiness by salt stress. Salt and cold stress and its combinations caused inhibition of root and stem growth and antioxidant enzyme activities (SOD, CAT, POD and APX) were significantly increased or decreased due to both salt, cold stress and its combinations. The soluble protein content increased in maize and wheat while decreased in bean in all applications. Cross-stress, on the other hand, decreased the soluble protein content according to alone salt or cold stress in all plants. As...

Salinity and irrigation water regime experiments were set up in pots as randomized plot experimental designs with five replications. The experiment focused on pea responses to irrigation water salinity by irrigating the crops using 6 different levels of saline water (0.7, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 7.0 dS m -1) with a constant leaching fraction (LF = 0.30). The pots were located in the experimental area under a polyethylene cover which was about 1.8 m height from the surface for the purpose of eliminating rainfall effect on the experiments. The selection of effective parameters used in these tomato genotypes and to find out the use of "in vitro" tests in place of "in vivo" salt tolerance tests were investigated. As a material, five different tomato genotypes during a 10-day time period were used, and 150 mM NaCl was applied at callus plant tissue. The exposure to NaCl induced a significant increase in MDA content in both salt-resistant and salt-sensitive cultivars. But the MDA content was higher in salt-sensitive cultivars. Recent advances in our understanding of the pathogenesis of alcohol-induced hepato-renal injury a... more Recent advances in our understanding of the pathogenesis of alcohol-induced hepato-renal injury and the development of new approaches to its treatment have been reported in various works. This study involves alcohol-induced oxidative stress linked to the metabolism of ethanol involving both mitochondrial and peroxisomal fractions of liver and kidney. Alcohol treatment resulted in the depletion of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione reductase (GR), Glutathione-S-Transferase (GST) activities, and reduced glutathione (GSH) content, higher level of malondialdehyde (MDA) and lower levels of protein carbonyls (PC) causing malfunction of hepatic and renal tissues, when compared to control rats. Thespesia populnea (TP) leaf extracts, administered to chronic alcohol ingested rats, were envisaged to possess significant antioxidant defence properties and help in the recovery of tissues from alcohol-induced oxidative damage. The results showed that degenerative changes in hepatic and renal cells of alcoholic groups were minimized by the administration of TP leaf extracts as also revealed by histopathological examination. The current findings indicate that treatment with TP extracts reduces alcohol-induced oxidative stress, thereby protecting the hepatic and renal tissue from alcohol-induced damage.
