Changes in people’s behavior in shopping for food needs from offline to online are rife in urban ... more Changes in people’s behavior in shopping for food needs from offline to online are rife in urban communities, especially in Pekanbaru and Dumai cities. This study aimed to identify consumer characteristics and gaps in online food purchase activities and analyze the mapping of consumer perceptions of online food marketing in support of regional food security. The research used a qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach with a nonmetric multidimensional scaling (MDS) analysis tool. The data collection method used a survey purposively selected 140. The results showed that the majority of consumers who purchased food online were women, with the majority of respondents being 26–35 years old, having a high school education and household income of Rp3,000,000.00–4,999,000.00 and having two dependents in the family. Pandemic COVID 19 and the digitalization era had changed consumer preference for food purchasing ... more Pandemic COVID 19 and the digitalization era had changed consumer preference for food purchasing from offline to online. So, online food marketing was alternative food access in order to support food security. This research aimed to analyse the effect of customer behaviour in food online purchasing on customer perceptions of online food marketing of the existence of online food marketing for sustainable food security in Pekanbaru City using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). SEM is a combination of factor analysis and multiple regression analysis, was used to explain the relationships between multiple variables. Using this, the indirect effect of indicators on each variable could also be investigated. The data used in this study were obtained through the purposive sampling of 100 customers who met the criteria of having shopped for food online at least twice, being of productive age (18-25 years), being married, and residing in Pekanbaru. Customer behaviour was measured by five indicators: Online Shopping Attitudes, Perceptions of Ease of Shopping, Quality of Service, Products, and Prices, whilst the perception was evaluated by three indicators: Food Availability, Food Access, and Food Utilization. With a 5% significance level, it could be concluded that the Perceptions of the Ease of Shopping, Products, and Prices have an impact on customer perception.

The commitment of the ASEAN Economic Community opens opportunities up for member countries includ... more The commitment of the ASEAN Economic Community opens opportunities up for member countries including Indonesia to improve the trade balance, especially in processed and non-processed agricultural products. These opportunities should be followed by increasing the competitiveness of each country. The purpose of this study was to analyze the development of exports of processed and non-processed Indonesian agricultural products in the ASEAN region and the competitiveness of exports of agricultural products in ASEAN countries to the main destination countries. TSI analysis was used to determine the development of exports, while the Constant Market Share (CMS) and Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) approaches are used to analyze the competitiveness and competitive advantages of each ASEAN member country. The results showed that Indonesia was in the top position for the export of agricultural processed products in 2009 with a TSI reaching 0.87. Whereas non-processed agricultural products led by Thailand with TSI reached 0.89. Increased competitiveness of processed and non-processed products is more influenced by increased demand in export destination countries. The RCA index of non - processed agricultural products in Thailand reached a peak in 2014 at a 3.2 position, while Indonesia had the highest RCA index in agricultural processed products which reached 8.80. This shows that Indonesia has comparative advantages in agricultural processed products compared to other countries in ASEAN.

The research was conducted in Empat Balai village of Kuok district Kampar regency. Sampling was done deliberately (purposive sampling) that women farmers are using jajar legowo method with the total sample as many as 71 women farmers. The results showed the total fixed cost (TFC) for 71 respondents amounted to Rp 37.289.017 planting season with an average of Rp 525,197 planting season, while the total variable cost (TVC) was Rp 102.142.

This study is aimed to know: (1) the motivation level of broiler breeder of contract farming in P... more This study is aimed to know: (1) the motivation level of broiler breeder of contract farming in Pekanbaru city, (2) the level of satisfaction of broiler breeder in contract farming in Pekanbaru, (3) the level of entrepreneur's breeder behavior broiler farming pattern (contract farming) in Pekanbaru city and (4) analyze the influence of motivation and satisfaction on entrepreneur's breederbehavior broiler farming pattern (contract farming) in Pekanbaru city. This study uses secondary data and primary data, secondary data obtained from the central statistical agency, the primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents using convenience sampling technique. Data analysis is qualitative and quantitative, qualitative data is Likert-scale interpretation and multiple linear regression interpretation with SPSS 23 include: coefficient of determination, F test, and t test. In the motivation variable, Likert scale results show the value of motivation score is 3.69, it shows that breeders feel motivated in partnering. The value of satisfaction score is 3.63 which means in partnership of breeders included in the category of satisfaction. As for the behavioral variables obtained the average score is 3.25 indicates that the breeder is in the category quite capable in doing business. Multiple linear regression results show that the coefficient of determination is 0.742, meaning 74.2 percent of motivation and satisfaction relationships affect the behavior of broiler breeders, while the remaining 25.8 percent is influenced by other variables outside the equation model.

Convergence to increase the capacity of farmers can be achieved well if there is an understanding between farmers in the process. For this reason, it is necessary to have good communication in farming activities between fellow farming actors. This study aims to: (1) To describe the communication elements of coconut farmers in Indragiri Hilir Regency, (2) to describe the communication behavior of coconut farmers in Indragiri Hilir Regency, (3) to analyze the factors which influence the communication behavior of coconut farmers in Indragiri Hilir Regency.. The method used in this research is a survey method. The population of this study consists of people who work as independent farmers, being members of farmer group, and having participated in extension activities and being included as inhabitants in Keritang and Reteh Districts, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The sampling in this study is carried out by purposive sampling with a total sample of 140 farmers. The results of the study illustrate that all variables influence coconut communication behavior in Indragiri Hilir Regency. But the differences are the direction of the relationship and the level of significance. The factor that positively and significantly influences farmer behavior in Indragiri Hilir Regency is the variable of communication media.

Communication is an important part of the on-farm subsystem carried out by farmers because the communication network formed describes the farmer’s communication pattern. The research aims to analyze the communication networks on-farm rubber in Riau and was conducted in two potential districts for rubber commodities in Riau Province, which are Kuantan Singingi Regency and Kampar Regency. To obtain research data, respondents were determined by purposive and snowball sampling. The number of respondents in this research was 168 rubber farmers. The results of the research showed that the on-farm communication network of rubber farmers in Kampar Regency, in a centralized pattern form (interlocking personal network), indicated that there are individuals dominant in the communication network of rubber farmers. Di sisi lain perkebunan sawit menyisakan permasalahan agraria khususnya konflik Desa Senama Nenek dengan PTPN V Sei Kencana lahan seluas 2.800 hektar. Tujuan penelitian ini: mengidentifikasi strategi gerakan sosial menuju resolusi konflik, pendekatan berbasis masyarakat, model resolusi konflik melalui mediasi yang dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa strategi gerakan sosial ini masyarakat tidak memiliki organisasi luar dalam berjuang namun asli pergerakan dari dalam mereka dengan melakukan lobi kepada pemerintah daerah setempat untuk membantu dalam mencari solusi, melakukan aksi ke perusahaan hingga ke kantor gubernur agar lahan mereka kembali, menggunakan pihak ketiga yaitu pemerintah daerah dan pusat dalam pencarian solusi. Pendekatan berbasis masyarakat di mana perusahaan memberi bantuan masyarakat setempat agar hubungan mereka tetap baik-baik saja dan saling membutuhkan satu dengan yang lainnya. Model solusi dengan mediasi dilakukan dengan cara mempertemukan kedua pihak yang bersengketa untuk menyampaikan tuntutan masing-masing dan dimediasi oleh pihak pemerintah daerah juga pemerintah pusat, sampai akhirnya solusi dari permasalahan ini dicetuskan oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia tanggal 3 Mei 2019 di istana negara dengan membuat program TORA.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Menganalisis persepsi petani di Desa Lubuk Terentang terhadap peran Apkarkusi. Penelitiaan ini menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 61 yang terbagi dalam 6 kelompok tani, dan 1 sampel diambil dari pengurus Apkarkusi. Hasil analisis Multidimensional Scalling yang berada pada kuadran I memberikan modal dan pinjaman kepada petani, hal ini menunjukkan peran Apkarkusi dalam memberikan modal dan pinjaman sangat dibutuhkan petani. Farmers of palm oil are mandatorily required to follow the ISPO standar in their business. 2. The problem arise due to mobilty to implement the standard. 3. The purpose of this study was examine the perception of palm oil farmers to the concept of ISPO. 4. The study was conducted from March 2019 to September 2020 using survey methods. Stratified Random Sampling with a sample number of 90 people from 3 sub-districts (Tapung Hulu, Tapung Hilir and Tapung). Were done the analysis was performed descriptively. The results showed that the characteristics of palm oil were full filled still not still not the principles of ISPO, especially in the principle of sustainable business improvement and the principle of environmental management and monitoring. Farmers have a perception that they are still less able to apply the four principles of ISPO, especially in improving sustainable business and environmental management and monitoring.

The purpose of this study was to (1) find out the women farmers' profile in the study area, (2) a... more The purpose of this study was to (1) find out the women farmers' profile in the study area, (2) analyze the contribution of women farmers to household income, (3) find out the process and role of women farmers decision making in paddy farming. The method used in this research is survey method with technique of sample selection by Purposive Sampling method. The number of respondents is 40 respondents. The results showed that the characteristics of women aged 15-55 years old with formal education to junior high school, the most experience for 5-10 years, almost all respondents have the number of dependents of families as many as 1-3 people and no toddlers, the land area ranges from 0.5-2 Ha, and more than 50% of respondents have main occupations as farmers. The contribution of women farmers' income to household income is 11.69%. Decision making in farming is done equally (husband and wife) with the average score of 3.09 and nonfarming decision making done by his own wife with an average score of 1.74.

The purpose of this study was to determine the income structure and welfare of sweet orange farme... more The purpose of this study was to determine the income structure and welfare of sweet orange farmer households. This research was conducted in Raya District, Simalungun Regency. The method used in this study was a survey method with a total of 57 farmers taken as respondents using a purposive sampling method, namely farmers who have productive citrus plants. Based on the results of household income analysis, it shows that the average household income of sweet orange farmers is Rp 42,897,107/cultivated area/year. The structure of household income for sweet orange farmers comes from the sweet orange farming sector (68.46%), non-sweet orange farming (19.33%) and non-agriculture (12.21%). The welfare level of sweet orange farmer households based on 7 BPS indicators is in the prosperous category (91.23%).

Information relating to the improvement of oil palm farming is obtained by farmers by communicating with actors who act as sources of information. Subaryadi is the central actor who is often contacted by other farmers to get information related to oil palm farming in Surya Indah Village. This study aims to identify farmers characteristics and analyze the role of opinion leader. This study used a survey method and the sampling used a random sampling technique with a total sample of 33 oil palm farmers. The farmer characteristics were analyzed descriptively, while the role of the SB actor as an opinion leader used a likert scale. Gula sagu adalah inovasi produk baru dalam penggunaan sagu menjadi gula yang dikembangkan oleh masyarakat Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti, termasuk desa Tanjung Peranap. Gula sagu dikembangkan dalam bentuk cair dan bubuk dan gula sagu bisa menjadi alternatif gula sehat bagi penderita diabetes. This study aims to: (1) To describe the communication elements of coconut farmers in Indragiri Hilir Regency, (2) to describe the communication behavior of coconut farmers in Indragiri Hilir Regency, (3) to analyze the factors which influence the communication behavior of coconut farmers in Indragiri Hilir Regency.. The method used in this research is a survey method. The population of this study consists of people who work as independent farmers, being members of farmer group, and having participated in extension activities and being included as inhabitants in Keritang and Reteh Districts, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The sampling in this study is carried out by purposive sampling with a total sample of 140 farmers. The results of the study illustrate that all variables influence coconut communication behavior in Indragiri Hilir Regency. But the differences are the direction of the relationship and the level of significance. The factor that positively and significantly influences farmer behavior in Indragiri Hilir Regency is the variable of communication media.

Communication is an important part of the on-farm subsystem carried out by farmers because the communication network formed describes the farmer’s communication pattern. The research aims to analyze the communication networks on-farm rubber in Riau and was conducted in two potential districts for rubber commodities in Riau Province, which are Kuantan Singingi Regency and Kampar Regency. To obtain research data, respondents were determined by purposive and snowball sampling. The number of respondents in this research was 168 rubber farmers. Di sisi lain perkebunan sawit menyisakan permasalahan agraria khususnya konflik Desa Senama Nenek dengan PTPN V Sei Kencana lahan seluas 2.800 hektar. Tujuan penelitian ini: mengidentifikasi strategi gerakan sosial menuju resolusi konflik, pendekatan berbasis masyarakat, model resolusi konflik melalui mediasi yang dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa strategi gerakan sosial ini masyarakat tidak memiliki organisasi luar dalam berjuang namun asli pergerakan dari dalam mereka dengan melakukan lobi kepada pemerintah daerah setempat untuk membantu dalam mencari solusi, melakukan aksi ke perusahaan hingga ke kantor gubernur agar lahan mereka kembali, menggunakan pihak ketiga yaitu pemerintah daerah dan pusat dalam pencarian solusi. Pendekatan berbasis masyarakat di mana perusahaan memberi bantuan masyarakat setempat agar hubungan mereka tetap baik-baik saja dan saling membutuhkan satu dengan yang lainnya. Model solusi dengan mediasi dilakukan dengan cara mempertemukan kedua pihak yang bersengketa untuk menyampaikan tuntutan masing-masing dan dimediasi oleh pihak pemerintah daerah juga pemerintah pusat, sampai akhirnya solusi dari permasalahan ini dicetuskan oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia tanggal 3 Mei 2019 di istana negara dengan membuat program TORA.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Menganalisis persepsi petani di Desa Lubuk Terentang terhadap peran Apkarkusi. Penelitiaan ini menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 61 yang terbagi dalam 6 kelompok tani, dan 1 sampel diambil dari pengurus Apkarkusi. The purpose of this study was examine the perception of palm oil farmers to the concept of ISPO. 4. The study was conducted from March 2019 to September 2020 using survey methods. Stratified Random Sampling with a sample number of 90 people from 3 sub-districts (Tapung Hulu, Tapung Hilir and Tapung). Were done the analysis was performed descriptively. The results showed that the characteristics of palm oil were full filled still not still not the principles of ISPO, especially in the principle of sustainable business improvement and the principle of environmental management and monitoring. Farmers have a perception that they are still less able to apply the four principles of ISPO, especially in improving sustainable business and environmental management and monitoring.

The purpose of this study was to (1) find out the women farmers' profile in the study area, (2) a... more The purpose of this study was to (1) find out the women farmers' profile in the study area, (2) analyze the contribution of women farmers to household income, (3) find out the process and role of women farmers decision making in paddy farming. The method used in this research is survey method with technique of sample selection by Purposive Sampling method. The number of respondents is 40 respondents. The results showed that the characteristics of women aged 15-55 years old with formal education to junior high school, the most experience for 5-10 years, almost all respondents have the number of dependents of families as many as 1-3 people and no toddlers, the land area ranges from 0.5-2 Ha, and more than 50% of respondents have main occupations as farmers. The contribution of women farmers' income to household income is 11.69%. Decision making in farming is done equally (husband and wife) with the average score of 3.09 and nonfarming decision making done by his own wife with an average score of 1.74.

The purpose of this study was to determine the income structure and welfare of sweet orange farme... more The purpose of this study was to determine the income structure and welfare of sweet orange farmer households. This research was conducted in Raya District, Simalungun Regency. The method used in this study was a survey method with a total of 57 farmers taken as respondents using a purposive sampling method, namely farmers who have productive citrus plants. Based on the results of household income analysis, it shows that the average household income of sweet orange farmers is Rp 42,897,107/cultivated area/year. The structure of household income for sweet orange farmers comes from the sweet orange farming sector (68.46%), non-sweet orange farming (19.33%) and non-agriculture (12.21%). The welfare level of sweet orange farmer households based on 7 BPS indicators is in the prosperous category (91.23%).

Information relating to the improvement of oil palm farming is obtained by farmers by communicating with actors who act as sources of information. Subaryadi is the central actor who is often contacted by other farmers to get information related to oil palm farming in Surya Indah Village. This study aims to identify farmers characteristics and analyze the role of opinion leader. This study used a survey method and the sampling used a random sampling technique with a total sample of 33 oil palm farmers. The farmer characteristics were analyzed descriptively, while the role of the SB actor as an opinion leader used a likert scale.
