SCAPS 1D simulator has been employed to investigate the heterostructure solar cell. To decrease the recombination loss due to minority carrier, a new configuration is proposed by inclusion of the p-type cuprous oxide (Cu2O) as BSF layer. The Cu2O BSF layer width varying in range 0.1 to 0.4 µm to analyze the feasibility of device for optimum performance. The anticipated structure consists of ZnO/CdS/BaSi2/Cu2O layers and offers the maximum efficiency of above 24%. Parameters for example open circuit voltage (Voc), short-circuit current density (Jsc), fill factor (FF), conversion efficiency (η) and quantum efficiency (QE) of the device have been analyzed graphically. The optimized structure may have significant impact on future development of advanced photovoltaic devices.

This method is iterative method and also known as one of the open methods. Open method are fast converging method as compared to closed method but the convergence is not guaranteed. Since open methods are fast convergence methods that is why they are widely used in Applied Mathematics. The proposed numerical technique is second order of convergence, and which is based on Newton Raphson method. The developed algorithm is compared with the well-known Newton Raphson Method and results show that our developed method is much better than the well-known method. Furthermore, examples are also give in order to give more detailed about the present work and reader will come to know that why developed method is much better as compare to well-known method.

Total factor productivity index is used as proxy for the technological progress. The data consisted of output and input variables for the technological progress has been taken from the year of 1961-2013from different sources. The tremendous growth in the TFP has been observed during the decade of 60’s and lowest rates during the decade of 70s and in 2000. The results realized those factors which affected the productivity in different decades. Increase in inputs is not only the cause of favourable production, but the main thing is to efficiently utilize those resources. TFP index showed that in 60’s when government implement strategies effectively it increased the TFP rate. The results significantly proved that technological progress in different decades has highly affected the growth rates in agricultural sector. Keywords: Tornqvist-theil (T-T) index, technological progress, ...

Primary data was collected via adopted questionnaire whereas secondary data was collected from SBP and security exchange commission websites over the period of 2011 to 2015. The study found positive relationship among credit risk identification (CRI), credit risk appraisal (CRA), credit risk control (CRC) & return on asset (ROA), while negatively association was found between credit risk monitoring (CRM) & return on assets (ROA). Moreover, positively association was noticed among credit risk identification (CRI), credit risk appraisal (CRA), credit risk monitoring (CRM) and return on equity (ROE), whereas negatively associated was observed between credit risk control (CRC), and return on equity (ROE). The study concluded that credit risk identification (CRI), credit risk appraisal (CRA), and credit risk control (CRC) positively influenced the financial per...

A 0.3 µm thick BSF layer made of extensively available and low-cost barium silicide (BaSi2) is introduced into the basic SiGe solar cell for the first time. SCAPS-1D simulator is employed to analyze different parameters such as open circuit voltage (Voc), short-circuit current density (Jsc), fill factor (FF), quantum efficiency (QE) and conversion efficiency ( η ) of the device. The SiGe absorber layer thickness is varied from 2 to 50 µm to analyze the device performance, however optimum results are observed between 10 and 15 µm. The BSF BaSi2 layer thickness changing from 0.1 to 0.8 µm to check the viability of device for optimal efficiency. The present structure anticipates an efficiency of 17.05% for BSF layer thickness of 0.8 µm. In addition, the use of SiGe earth abundant material instead of CIGS having rare earth metals indium and gallium, reduces the overall fabrication cost of the solar cell.

We analyzed 2,097 CTO PCIs performed in 2,049 patients from 2012 to 2017. Patient age was 65 ± 10 years, 85% were men, and 36% had prior coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Technical and procedural success were 88% and 87%, respectively. A major periprocedural adverse cardiovascular event occurred in 2.6%. Coronary perforation occurred in 85 patients (4.1%); The frequency of Ellis class 1, 2, and 3 perforations was 21%, 26%, and 52%, respectively. Perforation occurred more frequently in older patients and those with previous coronary artery bypass graft surgery (61% vs 35%, p < 0.001). Cases with perforation were angiographically more complex (Multicenter CTO Registry in Japan score 3.0 ± 1.2 vs 2.5 ± 1.3, p < 0.001). Twelve patients (14%) with perforation experienced tamponade requiring pericardiocentesis. Patient age, previous PCI, right coronary arte...

To test the hormetic effect of low doses of glyphosate on broad-leaved weeds, two experiments were conducted, in the laboratory and the screenhouse. The hormetic effects of glyphosate solution in growth media (0, 65, 130, 250, and 500 g acid equivalent (a.e) ha−1) and foliar spray (0, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64 g a.e. ha−1) were tested on four broad-leaved weeds (Coronopus didymus, Chenopodium album, Rumex dentatus, and Lathyrus aphaca). Glyphosate solution in the range 65–250 g a.e. ha−1 stimulated the germination and seedling growth of all tested weeds. However, at 500 g a.e. ha−1 inhibition of germination and growth was observed. Foliarly applied glyphosate in the range 4–32 g a.e. ha−1 increased root and shoot length, dry biomass, and seed production ability of all four weeds species; however, the stimulatory response was species dependent. These results indicate that glyphosate hormesis could play a significant role in altering crop/weed competition and might influence weed management.
