In this paper, we provide the first evidence of a link between the policies of privatization and ... more In this paper, we provide the first evidence of a link between the policies of privatization and population decline in Eastern Europe. The globalization context is an opportune setting to investigate this link. Privatization is an integral element of transition, a part of globalization, conceptualized and managed by the World Bank, an international organization of financial capital. Privatization led to an enormous increase in inequality in the distribution of wealth and income across the global economy. In the USA and Western Europe, the working classes were rapidly and drastically impoverished, while in Eastern European countries' transition economies, they were almost entirely pauperized. We identified a significant positive correlation between globalization, privatization, and the pauperization of the working class, with the outcome of population decline across Eastern

Purpose-The study aims to substantiate the approaches and principles of forming and regulation a ... more Purpose-The study aims to substantiate the approaches and principles of forming and regulation a model of social and labor relations of Kazakhstan adequate to the modern conditions of economic development. Design/methodology/approach-The creation of an effective model of social and labor relations should proceed from the multifaceted nature of their manifestation. Findings-The article describes the current Kazakhstan's model of labor relations and its basic parameters; determines the external and internal factors; specifically, the influence of the new labor law on its further development in the direction of democratization and the establishment of social partnership as a regulatory institution in the labor relations field. Research limitations/implications-Proposals to improve organizational and legal support for the long-term model of social and labor relations in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Originality/value-Result is the model of the system of social and labor relations proposed by the author, which allows us to cover the multifaceted nature of this phenomenon, to unite the influence of the external environment and the internal complex of their mutual relations and interdependencies. The study is carried out as part of a project funded by the Science Committee of Kazakhstan. Paper type-Research article.

COVID-19 pandemic crisis enlarged "new "poverty among the working class what is a far-reaching co... more COVID-19 pandemic crisis enlarged "new "poverty among the working class what is a far-reaching consequences of the processes of globalization and privatization, especially in the USA, Canada and Europe. During COVID-19 pandemic crisis a lot of the workers lost their jobs. Others faced decline of the wages due to downturn in the global economy. "New" poverty among the working class is particularly widespread in Eastern Europe as a result of privatization of state property and pauperization of the working class. The main issue of our paper is to analyze a link between the policy of flexible labor market and phenomenon of "new "poverty among the working class in Serbia. We explore the living standard of the working families in conditions of increased cost of living and the expansion of number of the workers that earn the minimum wage (400,000 persons, 20% of employees) in Serbia during COVID-19 pandemic crisis. We examine the value and the content of the minimum consumer goods basket and the amount of the minimum wage. The amount of the minimum price of labor per working hour in Serbia for 2022 has not been determined by the Social and Economic Council of the Republic of Serbia. The decision on the amount of the minimum price of labor has been made by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as it used to in previous years. The minimum cost of labor for 2022 is only 89% of the value of the minimum consumer basket.

The aim of this article is to examine the 2002 strategy for privatisation in Serbia, based on a h... more The aim of this article is to examine the 2002 strategy for privatisation in Serbia, based on a historical analysis of documents held by the Agency of Privatisation of the Republic of Serbia. In particular, it assesses the role of the domestic and foreign consultants contracted by the Serbian Agency of Privatisation to estimate the sale price of socially-owned capital. The engagement of those consultants was financed out of the donations of the international financial institutions and agencies of foreign governments. Their role was particularly significant in the sale of socially-owned capital by public tender, a method used in the privatisation of the most important socially-owned enterprises. The law did not prescribe the method for estimating the value of socially-owned capital subject to sale in this way, so the Serbian Privatisation Agency and tender commissions have, in practice, assessed tenders on the basis of the estimates of the privately-contracted consultants. In this way, they have become one of the major factors in the 2002 strategy for privatisation in Serbia.

Despite the fact that chronometer escapements are invented in past times, from the viewpoint of kinematics and machine theory, these mechanisms represent the jewel treasuries of knowledge and engineering wisdom. This paper considers and discloses operational principles and constructive geometry of Thomas Earnshaw " s chronometer detent escapement. Moreover, process of 3D solid modeling, and assembling of all escapement parts, as well as the motion study and simulation of escapement operational cycle are presented and explained. This analysis and considerations enlighten not just the kinematical properties and characteristic of one particular chronometer escapement type, but also clarify and illuminate the process of computer aided mechanism design, construction and motion analysis.

Researching the different types of plane curves with ovoid shape, it has been shown that there ar... more Researching the different types of plane curves with ovoid shape, it has been shown that there are some forms of egg-curves that may be useful for design in engineering, especially in architecture. Increase of energy efficiency, increase of streamlining, reduction of aerodynamic drag and reduction of materials consumption during construction, are the reasons for the growing upbuilding of structures with ovoid form. By the analysis conducted in this paper, it is concluded that the contours of objects can be approximated by a cubic egg-shaped curve obtained as a result of the construction of Fritz Hügelschäffer. The quality of the coherence between an actual object’s shape and the mathematical formula of the cubic egg curve is quantified by the coefficient of determination. The paper is presenting the results of similitude comparisons of the Hügelschäffer’s egg curve shape with several well-known architectural structures.

We specially considered plane sections of certain type of conoid which has a cubic egg curve as one of the directrices. The paper investigates a possibility of conic plane sections of this type of conoid.
