Bu çalışmada sağlıklı köpeklerde dış kulak yolu ve kulak zarının ultrasonografisi tanımlandı. Dış... more Bu çalışmada sağlıklı köpeklerde dış kulak yolu ve kulak zarının ultrasonografisi tanımlandı. Dış kulak yolu serum fizyolojik ile doldurulduktan sonra dış kulak yolu (vertikal ve horizontal kanal) ve kulak zarı 7,5 MHz konveks prop ile ultrasonografik olarak incelendi. Dış kulak yolu kıkırdağı, kulak zarı ve temporal kemik hiperekoik, dış kulak yolunun lumeni anekoik, temporal kas hipoekoik olarak görüntülendi. Bu çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular ultrasonografik muayenenin dış kulak yolu ve kulak zarının görüntülenmesinde yararlı bir yöntem olduğunu göstermiştir.

Intra-abdominal adhesions are almost inevitable after major abdominal surgery. Postoperative adhe... more Intra-abdominal adhesions are almost inevitable after major abdominal surgery. Postoperative adhesions continue to be the major cause of small bowel obstruction and infertility. Peritoneal lesions caused by abrasion, ischemia, desiccation, infection, thermal injury and foreign bodies are the origin of adhesions. Fibrinous adhesions that develop within a few hours of operational trauma. This fibrin can either re-absorb completely, leaving a clear peritoneal cavity, or become organized by the ingrowth of fibroblasts to form established fibrous adhesions. Adhesions may be diminished in five ways: First, the initial injury can be minimized. Second, the coagulation of exudate can be prevented. Third, prolonged contact of surfaces can be reduced. Fourth, fibrin can be removed after it is formed, and fifth, fibroblast proliferation can be stopped or slowed. In this study aimed to investigate dental disorders of goats. The study was performed on 100 goat... more In this study aimed to investigate dental disorders of goats. The study was performed on 100 goat cadaver heads and 100 goats. In Group I; goat cadaver heads (n=100) were examined at the slaughter house on Elazig city in Turkey. In Group II; It was performed oral examination of goats (n=100) in Firat University Animal Hospital and farms. The most prevalent dental abnormalities were overgrown or abnormally erupted and loss of the incisor teeth, excessive transverse ridging of the occlusal surface, occulusal wear, excessive occlusal points, the presence of diastemata, gingival recession and peridontal pocketing, missing teeth, molar root abscessation in cadaver heads. Dental disease detected at 33 (33%) cases in slaughterhouse. This study evaluated intra-testicular injection of sodium chloride for chemical-castration in 12 ... more This study evaluated intra-testicular injection of sodium chloride for chemical-castration in 12 mix bred dogs (6 adult and 6 non-adult). The sodium chloride at 20% concentration per testis were injected intratesticularly until tension occurs and the testicles were removed with the open surgical technique about 30 days for histopathologic evaluation. Testicular swelling was evident in both group dogs following injection and reached peak within 48 hours. While testicular volume decreased significantly (P<0.05) in both group after 2-4 weeks. The testicles underwent atrophy at the 30 th day in non-adult group with nomarked alteration in adult group. Though only 3 non-adult dogs were sterile, other adult dogs maintained androgenesis. It was concluded that intra-testicular injections of sodiumchloride at 20% concentration administration may not be accepted as a suitable alternative to the open surgical technique for castration in adult dogs but could be used as a preferable treatment ...
