Problems are the real facts of life. Youth today faces different challenges in life in the changed world. Problem-Solving Ability may be said to be a deliberate and purposeful act on the part of an individual. The main aim of this study is to analyze the problem-solving ability among meritorious school students and find out whether gender, school-board and locality of school influenced the problem-solving ability of meritorious school students or not. The sample for the present study comprised of 120 meritorious school students (obtained 75% or above 75% in U.P. Board or 9 or more than 9 CGPA in CBSE in class X) and are presently studying in class 11 th of CBSE and U.P. Board schools from both urban and rural area of Varanasi district. The findings of the study revealed that there is very low problem-solving ability among meritorious school students. Meritorious boys showed higher problem-solving...

Healthcare providers are forced to focus on care quality while minimizing the cost through better healthcare resource management. However the abundant data from different sources such as clinical processes, business processes, and operational processes, causing remarkable issues and challenges are not resolved, through traditional technologies. Thus the Healthcare providers in effort to improve care quality and reduce cost are turning towards advanced and flexible IT-enabled business strategies. This paper attempts to illustrate the BI approaches incorporated with data mining techniques appropriate in the healthcare domain to overcome the issues and challenges more efficiently. Here emphasis is given on the main BI healthcare processes, benefits of using BI strategies in terms of efficiency, care quality and patient satisfaction.

Even though more care is taken to protect the child at home by family members, accidentally an emergency crisis may occur to the children in the home settings, and schools or in external environment. The purpose of the study is to assess the knowledge among school children regarding first aid before and after administering the planned teaching programme, to assess the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge among school children regarding first aid and to associate between post test knowledge score of first aid among school children with selected demographic variables such age, sex, educational status of parents, area of resident, religion and previous experience in accident. The study method was evaluative research approach and a pre experimental (one group pre test and post test) was used. Randomized sampling technique was used to select the sample. The total sample was 30 school children. Pre test and post test knowledge score was assessed by standardized questionnaires. The result of the study concluded that mean and standard deviation of knowledge level score in pre test was 10.13, 2.5 and post test score were 15.4, 1.7. The calculated 't' value was 13.8 is statistically significant p value (0.001). It reveals that there was a significant difference in pre test and post test knowledge score. It is evident that the planned teaching programme was significantly effective in improving knowledge regarding first aid among school children.

Formative assessment methods have emerged and evolved to integrate learning, evaluation and education models. Not only is it critical to understand a learner's skills and how to improve and enhance them, but we also need to consider what the learner is doing; we need to consider navigational patterns. The extended learning and assessment system, a paradigm for doing research, captures this entire view of learning and evaluation systems. The function of computational psychometrics is to facilitating the translation from raw data to meaningful concepts. In this research study, several factors are considered for psychometric analysis of different kinds of learners, and based on a motivational level, many interesting conclusions have been drawn and presented in the result section at the end of the pape...

The Associative Classification approach combining the classification and association rule mining ... more The Associative Classification approach combining the classification and association rule mining techniques is now becoming reliable classification strategy for obtaining moderate sized classifiers with enhanced accuracy rate. The associative classification techniques when applied on large databases produce huge number of rules and make difficult to achieve effective classification model. To overcome the problems underlying the associative classification, this paper focuses on rule ranking criteria used during rule generation process and proposes the unique rule pruning procedures followed by discussing their impact on classification accuracy rate. The goal of the study is to effectively apply the rules produced classify the data and to obtain reduced size classifiers with high classification accuracy rate.

AC leads to the formation of accurate classifier consisting of significant rules capable of predicting the class of the data. This paper presents the evolution of ARM to AC highlighting the development and improvements in ARM techniques followed by AC techniques. The goal of this paper is to survey and understand different ARM and AC techniques and comparing their performance. In the literature a variety of AC algorithms have be proposed such as CBA, CMAR, MCAR, CPAR etc each adopting some or the other approach for rule learning in the initial stages. This paper also presents the importance of the rule pruning methodology with the brief survey of different methods discussed in the literature. This paper also enlightens the learning approaches adopted by different AC techniques in different domains.
