The theories used in this study include Text theory by Nurwani and Gadamer Hermeneutics theory. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Descriptive aims to describe or describe. Qualitative methods consist of three methods of data collection: 1) observation, 2) interviews, 3) utilization of written documents, and interviews. This research produced knowledge about the existence of Islamic cultural backgrounds that developed in the Nias islands, precisely in Toreloto Village, Lahewa sub-district, North Nias.
