This situation leads to differentiation of extracurricular study habits primarily because of the fact that individuals have difficulties in emotion regulation, away from the school environment and many activities. In addition to these situations, being away from many applied courses as a student of education faculty may cause them to take a different attitude towards lifelong learning tendencies in their development process. In this study, the effect of pre-service teachers’ extracurricular study habits and the emotion regulation strategies on lifelong learning tendencies which will contribute them becoming a useful teacher by developing themselves is examined in Covid-19 process. In this context, a scale prepared in three different Likert formats was applied to undergraduate students studying at the Faculty of Education at X University. These scales are “Lifelong Learning Tendency Scale” developed by Coşkun (2009), “Emotion Regulation Scale”, which was first developed by Gross and John (2003) and later adapted to Turkish by Yurtseven (2008), and “Extracurricular Study Habits Scale” developed by Ermeydan (2019). After obtaining the data, multiple regression analysis was performed to examine the relationship between the pre-service teachers' studying habits and emotion regulation strategies and their effect on lifelong learning tendencies. The results obtained were discussed in the light of the literature.

In this context, the equating errors and the area under the curve of four scaling methods (Stocking-Lord, Heabara, Mean-Sigma, Mean-Mean), and one, two, and three parameters logistic models (1PL, 2PL, and 3PL) in nonequivalent groups with anchor test (NEAT) design were examined. Additionally, the equating errors of the scaling methods and the results obtained from ROC analysis were compared. Qatar's and Australia's PISA 2012 mathematical literacy test data were used in the study. The minimum error was obtained from the Mean-Mean method with the 1PL model, and the maximum error was obtained from the Mean-Mean method with the 3PL model. Similar results were observed in all comparisons and supported each other. It is concluded that ROC analysis can be used to compare different conditions, methods and models.

This study aimed to reveal the effects of variable at the student and department level that will affect the life satisfaction level of university students, using the Hierarchical Linear Modeling. In addition, the study aimed to reveal which variables have a significant effect on life satisfaction in this two-level structure. The sample of the research consists of 1237 students, studying in 30 departments in different faculties at Inönü University in the 2020-2021 academic year. Countries participate in common tests to compare their positions with other countries and monitor... more Countries participate in common tests to compare their positions with other countries and monitor their progress. While conducting these tests, comparing the achievement or attitudes between these countries or individuals without considering the differences between them will result in biased results. The anchoring vignette method was used in PISA 2012 as an alternative to eliminate this bias. In this study, the responses of Turkish, Bulgarian, and Greek students' to the survey questions in PISA 2012 about their mathematics teachers' class management and adjusted response categories based on their responses to anchoring vignettes were analyzed, and whether countries differ in class management or not was investigated. The data collected from 4,895 people were analyzed (1,665 from Bulgaria, 1,662 from Greece, and 1,568 from Turkey). All responses were not used; only three anchoring vignettes in the CLSMAN questionnaire and the 3 rd item of the original questionnaire were used. The analyzes were performed in the R program with the ancors package. As a result of the research, it was found in both calculations that Greek teachers are quite flexible in starting class on time, and there is a significant difference between the response categories of other countries. According to the self-assessment responses, there is no difference between Turkish and Bulgarian teachers' class management; however, there is a significant difference between them according to the adjusted response. Different methods can be used in the process of evaluating anchoring vignettes using a non-parametric approach. Weighting is different in these methods. A single method can be used regarding the feature to be investigated or the researcher's algorithm preference; or as in this study, all the four methods can be used, and the comparisons can be interpreted.

ÖZ Öğretim elemanlarının pedagojik yetersizlikleri, ölçme ve değerlendirme süreçlerinin öğrencile... more ÖZ Öğretim elemanlarının pedagojik yetersizlikleri, ölçme ve değerlendirme süreçlerinin öğrenciler üzerinde bir baskı ya da cezalandırma aracına dönüşmesine neden olabilir. Bu suistimalin süreğen hale gelmesi ise öğrencilerde psikolojik yıldırmaya (mobbing) yol açabilir. Üniversite öğrencilerinin ölçme değerlendirme süreçlerinde mobbinge maruz kalma düzeylerini ölçebilecek geçerli, güvenilir ve kullanışlı bir ölçek geliştirmeyi amaçlayan bu araştırma bir karma yöntem araştırması olarak desenlemiştir. Bu amaçla "Mobbing Aracı olarak Ölçme-Değerlendirme Ölçeği"nin [MAÖDÖ] maddeleri nitel bir veri toplama ve analiz süreci ile geliştirilmiş ve ardından psikometrik özellikleri İnönü Üniversitesine bağlı 23 farklı MYO/Fakülte/Enstitü'de öğrenim görmekte olan 1850 öğrenciden elde edilen veriler analiz edilerek incelenmiştir. Yapılan açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda tek faktörden oluşan ölçeğin makul düzeyde varyans açıklama oranına (%63), yüksek faktör yük değerlerine (.745-.843) ve madde-toplam korelasyon katsayılarına (r=.652-.770) sahip olduğu; takip eden doğrulayıcı faktör analizinde ise yapının kabuledilebilir ya da mükemmel uyum iyiliği değerleriyle doğrulandığı [X 2 /sd=42.439/12=3.537; RMR= 0.042; GFI= 0.986, AGFI= 0.968; CFI= 0.991; NFI= 0.987; RMSEA=0.054] görülmüştür. Ayrıca ölçek maddelerinin ortalama varyans açıklama değerleri (AVE = .56) ve kompozit güvenirlik (CR = .90) katsayılarından hareketle yapının yakınsak geçerliliğinin ve güvenilirliğinin yeterli olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Ölçeğin Cronbach Alfa (α= .902) ve Guttman test yarılama (r= .878) yöntemleriyle hesaplanan içtutarlılık katsayıları da ölçekten elde edilen puanların yüksek düzeyde güvenirliğe sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Toplam 7 maddeden oluşan 5'li Likert formatındaki MAÖDÖ'nden alınan minimum ve maksimum puanlar 7-35 arasında değişmekte olup alınan puanların artması öğrencilerin ölçme değerlendirme aracılığıyla mobbinge maruz kalma düzeylerinin de arttığını göstermektedir.

Lifelong learning is seen as a supporter of education in order to meet the needs of individuals regarding their interests, curiosities and abilities, and to contribute to the development of individuals socially and professionally. In order to provide these supports, the support of formal and non-formal education institutions and all in service and out of service activities are evaluated within this scope. Individuals who want to be involved in the lifelong learning process face may difficulties. Although these problems differ in the process, the biggest problem affecting the access of the student the formal education is the Covid-19 epidemic today. In this process, individuals have gained many new habits besides being affected psychologically and they have to increase their efforts a little more. Although lifelong learning has a very comprehensive content, one of its main purposes is the personal development of students who continue the formal undergraduate program at the university. Besides the steps that the students follow their development in the normal process, it is a matter of curiosity how they followed their own development in the Covid-19 epidemic process. With this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of coronavirus (Covid-19), which is the biggest problem of today and which worries the whole world including our country, on lifelong learning tendencies. Qualitative research methods will be used in this research. The participants are undergraduate students studying at the Faculty of Education, the whole world including our country on lifelong learning tendencies. In this study purposes to indicate the effect of the number of DIF items and the distribution of ... more In this study purposes to indicate the effect of the number of DIF items and the distribution of DIF items in these forms, which be equalized on equating error. Mean-mean, mean-standard deviation, Haebara and Stocking-Lord Methods used in common item design equal groups as equalization methods. The study included six different simulation conditions. The conditions were compared according to the number of DIF items and the distribution of DIF items on tests. The results illustrated that adding DIF items to tests were equated caused an increase in the errors obtained by equating methods. We may state that the change in errors is lowest in characteristic curve transformation methods, largest in moment methods depending on the situations in these conditions. The aim of this study is to investigate whether the prospective teachers’ self compassion levels ... more The aim of this study is to investigate whether the prospective teachers’ self compassion levels differ according to some variables such as gender, branch, family income level, and perception of success and also the relation of their self compassion with age. In the frame of this basic aim, in the study, survey method is used which is generally used for finding out current conditions. The sample consists of 260 students of 2010-2011 educational year’s spring term at the departments of Elementary Science, Music, Art, Early Childhood Education and Primary Teaching Education in Fatih Education Faculty of Karadeniz Technical University. As data collection tools, in addition to personal information form, Self Compassion Scale that is adapted to Turkish by Akin and his colleagues (2007) are used. For data analysis SPSS 16.00 program is used. Independent t-test and one-way ANOVA are used in order to find out whether the teachers’ self-compassion levels differ according to their gender, family income level, perception of success, and the university departments they study, in other words their branches and their relation with age. In order to find out which groups result in difference, Post Hoc analysis is done and Bonferroni test is used for this Post Hoc analysis. The results of analyses show that teachers’ family income levels and their perception of success cause significant difference on their self-compassion levels. However, no significant difference is found between the teachers’ self compassion levels and their gender, age and branches. The findings are discussed in the light of literature. Katilimcilar yaslari 17 ile 45 arasinda degisen (Ortyas=21.33, Ss=2.32) 527’si kadin (%62), 325’i erkek (%38) toplamda 852 ogrenciden olusmaktadir. Arastirma kapsaminda olcek maddelerinin dil, anlam ve kapsam gecerligi saglanmis, pilot uygulama ardindan formun nihai hali 426 ogrenciye uygulanarak acimlayici faktor analizi yapilmistir. Analiz sonucunda elde edilen faktor yapisinin toplam varyansin %52.29’unu acikladigi belirlenmistir. The items that are suitable for everyone's own ability level with the support of computer program... more The items that are suitable for everyone's own ability level with the support of computer programs instead of paper and pencil tests may help students to reach more accurate results. Computer adaptive tests (CAT), which are developed based on certain assumptions in this direction, are to create an optimum test for every person taking the exam. It then becomes essential to examine the development process of such important exams and to monitor what studies have contributed to this development in what year. Citespace is a program developed to map information fields, explain the relationship between different disciplines, examine and estimate the studies in a certain period of time, uncover the latest studies and predict the trend issues that occur according to the analysis of bibliographic records of related publications. In this study, it is aimed to find out what articles about CAT are produced in which areas, at what time periods e and which articles have a significant effect in these periods. CiteSpace program was used to make a document/article co-citation analysis. Articles on CAT between 1946-2016 were scanned by "or" connector. A total of 637 articles were used, the analyses were finalized according to the networks. As a result of the research, clusters were determined based on the relationship in the citations, articles that were the most cited and important among studies on CAT were presented.

The research was considered as a descriptive study since it examined the relation between the existing studies according to the citations. The concept of temperament in early childhood has taken its place in the literature as a concept that began to be studied in 1955. 1025 studies on this subject in the Web of Science database were examined. Studies conducted between 1975-2020 were analyzed. In this study, Cite Space program, one of the social network analysis programs, was used. As covariates in the study, gender, mathematics self-efficacy scores, and common item scores were used. The distributions were obtained for all score groups. Hellinger Distance was calculated to obtain the distances between the distributions of equated scores by using covariates and the distribution of the target test scores. These distances were compared with the distributions of equated scores obtained from methods based on Item Response Theory. The study was conducted on Canadian and Italian samples of Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2012. Ayrıca ölçek maddelerinin ortalama varyans açıklama değerleri (AVE = .56) ve kompozit güvenirlik (CR = .90) katsayılarından hareketle yapının yakınsak geçerliliğinin ve güvenilirliğinin yeterli olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Ölçeğin Cronbach Alfa (α= .902) ve Guttman test yarılama (r= .878) yöntemleriyle hesaplanan içtutarlılık katsayıları da ölçekten elde edilen puanların yüksek düzeyde güvenirliğe sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Toplam 7 maddeden oluşan 5'li Likert formatındaki MAÖDÖ'nden alınan minimum ve maksimum puanlar 7-35 arasında değişmekte olup alınan puanların artması öğrencilerin ölçme değerlendirme aracılığıyla mobbinge maruz kalma düzeylerinin de arttığını göstermektedir.

Lifelong learning is seen as a supporter of education in order to meet the needs of individuals regarding their interests, curiosities and abilities, and to contribute to the development of individuals socially and professionally. In order to provide these supports, the support of formal and non-formal education institutions and all in service and out of service activities are evaluated within this scope. Individuals who want to be involved in the lifelong learning process face may difficulties. Although these problems differ in the process, the biggest problem affecting the access of the student the formal education is the Covid-19 epidemic today. In this process, individuals have gained many new habits besides being affected psychologically and they have to increase their efforts a little more. Although lifelong learning has a very comprehensive content, one of its main purposes is the personal development of students who continue the formal undergraduate program at the university. Besides the steps that the students follow their development in the normal process, it is a matter of curiosity how they followed their own development in the Covid-19 epidemic process. With this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of coronavirus (Covid-19), which is the biggest problem of today and which worries the whole world including our country, on lifelong learning tendencies. In this study purposes to indicate the effect of the number of DIF items and the distribution of ... more In this study purposes to indicate the effect of the number of DIF items and the distribution of DIF items in these forms, which be equalized on equating error. Mean-mean, mean-standard deviation, Haebara and Stocking-Lord Methods used in common item design equal groups as equalization methods. The study included six different simulation conditions. The conditions were compared according to the number of DIF items and the distribution of DIF items on tests. The results illustrated that adding DIF items to tests were equated caused an increase in the errors obtained by equating methods. We may state that the change in errors is lowest in characteristic curve transformation methods, largest in moment methods depending on the situations in these conditions. The aim of this study is to investigate whether the prospective teachers’ self compassion levels ... more The aim of this study is to investigate whether the prospective teachers’ self compassion levels differ according to some variables such as gender, branch, family income level, and perception of success and also the relation of their self compassion with age. In the frame of this basic aim, in the study, survey method is used which is generally used for finding out current conditions. The sample consists of 260 students of 2010-2011 educational year’s spring term at the departments of Elementary Science, Music, Art, Early Childhood Education and Primary Teaching Education in Fatih Education Faculty of Karadeniz Technical University. As data collection tools, in addition to personal information form, Self Compassion Scale that is adapted to Turkish by Akin and his colleagues (2007) are used. For data analysis SPSS 16.00 program is used. Independent t-test and one-way ANOVA are used in order to find out whether the teachers’ self-compassion levels differ according to their gender, family income level, perception of success, and the university departments they study, in other words their branches and their relation with age. In order to find out which groups result in difference, Post Hoc analysis is done and Bonferroni test is used for this Post Hoc analysis. The results of analyses show that teachers’ family income levels and their perception of success cause significant difference on their self-compassion levels. However, no significant difference is found between the teachers’ self compassion levels and their gender, age and branches. The findings are discussed in the light of literature. Katilimcilar yaslari 17 ile 45 arasinda degisen (Ortyas=21.33, Ss=2.32) 527’si kadin (%62), 325’i erkek (%38) toplamda 852 ogrenciden olusmaktadir. Arastirma kapsaminda olcek maddelerinin dil, anlam ve kapsam gecerligi saglanmis, pilot uygulama ardindan formun nihai hali 426 ogrenciye uygulanarak acimlayici faktor analizi yapilmistir. Analiz sonucunda elde edilen faktor yapisinin toplam varyansin %52.29’unu acikladigi belirlenmistir. Computer adaptive tests (CAT), which are developed based on certain assumptions in this direction, are to create an optimum test for every person taking the exam. It then becomes essential to examine the development process of such important exams and to monitor what studies have contributed to this development in what year. Citespace is a program developed to map information fields, explain the relationship between different disciplines, examine and estimate the studies in a certain period of time, uncover the latest studies and predict the trend issues that occur according to the analysis of bibliographic records of related publications. In this study, it is aimed to find out what articles about CAT are produced in which areas, at what time periods e and which articles have a significant effect in these periods. CiteSpace program was used to make a document/article co-citation analysis. Articles on CAT between 1946-2016 were scanned by "or" connector. A total of 637 articles were used, the analyses were finalized according to the networks. As a result of the research, clusters were determined based on the relationship in the citations, articles that were the most cited and important among studies on CAT were presented.

As covariates in the study, gender, mathematics self-efficacy scores, and common item scores were used. The distributions were obtained for all score groups. Hellinger Distance was calculated to obtain the distances between the distributions of equated scores by using covariates and the distribution of the target test scores. These distances were compared with the distributions of equated scores obtained from methods based on Item Response Theory. The study was conducted on Canadian and Italian samples of Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2012.
