Research paper thumbnail of Study of Optical radiation efficiency of nanoparticles

2013 IEEE 5th International Nanoelectronics Conference (INEC), 2013

Optical radiation efficiency is the ratio of scattering cross section to extinction cross section... more Optical radiation efficiency is the ratio of scattering cross section to extinction cross section. Optical radiation efficiency has been calculated, using classical electrostatics, for spherical nanoparticles of Ag, Au, Cu, Co, Cr, Ni, Pd, Pt, Sn, and Ti. The particle diameter was varied and calculated for the wavelengths in the range of 400-1200nm. The change in radiation efficiency in glass medium with respect to the size of the particle has been observed. The validation of calculation is confirmed by finding and comparing the efficiencies for Ag, Au, Cu in Dhumale 2012. This work has considered all the materials considered by Tanabe 2007.

One major inherent problem in JSEG is that it suffers from over segmentation which ultimately reduces the segmentation quality. The focus is given to reduce the over segmentation problem in JSEG by examining the presence of canny edge between every two adjacent segment created in JSEG which matches human perception. Experiments on natural images show improved result.

The idea behind NWF is to freeze input weights of a hidden node when its output does not change much in the successive few training epochs. Theoretical and experimental studies reveal that some hidden nodes of an ANN maintain almost constant output after some training epochs, while others continuously change during the whole training period. Our preliminary results indicate the effectiveness of NWF to reduce training time in designing ANNs

Drug release of atorvastatin was maximum (103 %) in FM2 formulation. However, this formulation was non-compatible based on spectroscopic analysis. In contrast, SC2 formulations at 1:2 ratio were compatible in terms of cumulative drug release (99 %), and based on spectroscopi...
