Purpos e:-The purpose of this randomized clinical trial was to compare the efficacy of 20 % and 5... more Purpos e:-The purpose of this randomized clinical trial was to compare the efficacy of 20 % and 50% con cent ration of magn esi um sul fate and ketorolac in increasing the effecti ven ess of inferio r alveolar nerve blo ck in pati ents with sympt oms of irreversibl e pulpitis. Materials and method :-Fifty-si x su bjects with symptoms of irreversibl e pulpitis in mandibul ar mol ars were includ ed in th e study. Heftparker visu al analog scale (HP-VAS) was used to evaluat e th e initi al pain and pain during access cavity preparation. Fifty si x pati ents were randomly divid ed into 4 groups (n=14). 1 hour before admin ist ration of convention al IAN block one group received 1 ml magn esium su lfate USP 20% and th e other groups receiv ed 50 % magn esium sulfate, ketorolac and distill ed wat er (placebo) resp ectively. After IAN B injection wh en th e pati ent repo rted of lip numbn ess and show ed two neg ative responses to th e electric pulp tester endodontic access cavity preparation was st arted. The patient' s pain during access cavity preparation and initial instrument ation is evaluated by using HP-VAS. Res ult:-There was no statisti cal difference for the effect o f gender, age and initi al pain betw een th e fou r groups. Anesth eti c su ccess for IAN blo ck was more for ketorolac fol low ed by 50 % magn esium sul fate and 20 % magn esium su lfate. Co nclusion:-Ketorolac is more effecti ve in in creasing the efficacy of in ferio r alv eol ar nerve blo ck followed by 50% magn esiu m sul fate and 20% magn esium sulfate.

The bifurcation of a root canal is the position at which a single canal separates into two smaller canals that follow divergent pathways, in some cases, the canals may re-join to form a single canal again.

Paste as root canal medicaments in eradication of this study, 45 extracted human teeth were used.... more Paste as root canal medicaments in eradication of this study, 45 extracted human teeth were used. After their decapitation, they were initially instrumented to reach 20 K used; Group 1: Triple antibiotic past specimens in each group). After sterilization of all samples inoculation was performed with Enterococcus faecalis using protaper files till F2 size, irrigation using sodium hypochlorite solution of 2.5% concentration and 17% EDTA, then intracanal medicaments were applied. First sample was collected after inoculation of bacteria into root canals. Second sample was collect rinsed. Muller Hilton Yeast agar was used for culturing of samples then went under incubation to count CFU's. and there was a continuo medicaments showed all samples to be significantly different from each other. Antimicrobial activity of Propolis against Calcium hydroxide.

Apexification is a technique for inducing closure of the non-vital permanent teeth at the apex. I... more Apexification is a technique for inducing closure of the non-vital permanent teeth at the apex. In apexification a mineralized barrier is induced with long-term calcium hydroxide (CH) or created artificially with mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) plug. Method: Two patients presented for evaluation of central incisor with discoloration with mild swelling and a non-traceable sinus tract. Both have a history of trauma. After intraoral examination and radiographic assessment a diagnosis of pulp necrosis with open apex was made. At the initial visit access cavity preparation and biomechanical preparation was done and calcium hydroxide dressing was placed. In the next appointment MTA plug was made and obturation was done after 72 hours and the tooth was build up with composites and a porcelain fused to metal crown was delivered. MTA is used for creating an apical plug, the functional goal of this procedure is to provide a hard tissue barrier that will provide an apical stop which will provide a platform for effective obturation of the canal allowing the patient to maintain the tooth. Conclusion: MTA can be used effectively for creating a hard calcific barrier in cases of open apex. MTA also has low cytotoxic and superior biocompatibility as compared to calcium hydroxide used before.

Dentistry is one avenue in medicine that had greatly benefitted from 3D printing. Creating artificial teeth and dental implants has become all the more easily owing to the ability of the process to create them rapidly, sometimes within a dentist’s office itself.
