Kiai Sahabuddin, a charismatic scholar figure. He is a follower figure of the Qadiriyah order who... more Kiai Sahabuddin, a charismatic scholar figure. He is a follower figure of the Qadiriyah order who has the lineage of the tarekat up to the Prophet Muhammad. Kiai Sahabuddin was born on September 27, 1937 and died on February 6, 2005. The problems studied in this study are: (1) the concept of Islamic education in the view of Kiai Sahabuddin, (2) the role of Kiai Sahabuddin as a tarekat teacher in the development of informal education in West Sulawesi. This type of research includes field research and is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by giving meaning to the data that has been collected, and conclusions are drawn from the data. The piety to Allah SWT. and His Messenger as well as the practice of the Shari'a that draws closer to Allah swt. through the teachings of the Qadiriyah tarekat, (2) the role of Kiai Sahabuddin as a tarekat teacher in the development of informal education in West Sulawesi through the first two fields; Da'wah and second; the practice of education as a teacher of the Qadiriyah tarekat. Regarding his religious thoughts, it can be seen from the increasing development of the Qadiriyah order. The practice of knowing God, the universe, and humans is included in the teachings of the Qadiriyah order and the most popular among the congregation of the Qadiriyah congregation is the Laylatul Qadr prayer every night of 27 Ramadan on the Buttu Salabose hill.results showed.
