Bhutto Agricultural College Dokri, for estimation of proper row space effects on economic yield and its components. Four genotypes of winter wheat, viz; T.J-83, Sarsabz, TD-I and Kiran-95 were included in this study. The row spacing i-e; 15 cm, 22 cm, 30 cm and 40 cm were managed. The studied traits were taken on days to initial heading, days taken to maturity, stature length (cm), number of tillers plant -1 , main peduncle length in (cm), seeds spike -1 , 1000 seed weight (g), straw weight plant -1 (g), seed yield plant 1 (g) and harvest index (%). The results revealed that significant differences were observed for genotypes between the row spaces and their interaction in studied parameters. The 30 cm row space was more effective for most of the traits including seed yield. The maximum seed yield plant -1 , main peduncle length, seeds spike -1 and 1000 seed weight shown by Sarsabz under 30 cm row space. The poor performance of studied genotype...

It reduces germination and delays emergence of wheat. Under saline condition wheat stands irregular and depressed crop yield. In order to enhance wheat crop production under saline stress, it is essential to better understand genotypic variance and screening of high yielding and salt tolerant wheat genotypes. The main aim of this research work was to determine the influence of three salinity treatments viz. Control, 5-dSm¯¹ and 10-dSm¯¹on available five commercial wheat cultivars such as Sindh-81, Jauhar-78, Sarsabz, T.J-83 and Z.A. 77 under invitro condition. Seeds of five commercial wheat cultivars were then incubated in dark for 24hr, 48hr, 72hr and 96 hr at 22°C. The studied parameters including germination%, root and shoot length, root and shoot dry weight were also investigated. Germination was scored after ten days of seed placement. Completely randomized design with four replications was used. The obtained result showed that the germination, length of shoot and root were increased with an increase of incubation period, while decreased in response to increasing salinity level. Overall, the variety Sarsabz showed better adaptation, followed by T.J-83, Sindh-81, Jauhar-78 and Z.A. 77 for incubation period and salinity level. Therefore, it is suggested that the Sarsabz wheat cultivar can be successfully grown under ex-situ saline condition.

A field trial has been conducted to evaluate the performance of different twenty wheat genotypes under three stress treatments viz., control (T0) = normal watering, stress-1 (T1) = water stress from tillering up to maturity, and stress-2 (T2) = water stress from anthesis to maturity were used as treatments. The results revealed that a highly significant (p < 0.01) difference was observed among twenty wheat cultivars for morpho-physiological traits except for several tillers plant−1, spikeletspike−1, and relative water content. In the early days, 50% flowering was noted in Anmole-91 (64.33 days) under (T0), while Anmol-91 showed a relative decrease (RD-1) (−2.34 days) at days 50% flowering in (T1). The TJ-83 genotype showed an early response (−8.34 day) at days to 50% flowering under stress-2 (T2), but TD-I (−3.34) was observed to be relatively tolerant...
