Such a form is presently described and illustrated for Pteroglossa glazioviana.

Its presence in Brazil is thus confirmed ans extended. A morphological description and some pictures are provided in order to ease its field identification.

The species was found in Burarama, district of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in the southern part of the Serra do Castelo in semideciduous forest. Hitherto the species have been known from the North (PA), Shoutheast (MG, RJ) and South (PR, SC, RS). A description ans illustration are provided for a better identification.

The species was found in Burarama, district of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, south of Serra do Castelo in semideciduous forest. A description ans an illustration are provided for a better identification.

The main differences with the former, as well as its affinities with other Brazillian Anathallis, are discussed.

This species, from the Serra do Castelo, in Espirito Santo, is a member of the "Acianthera saundersiana" alliance, a group belonging to section Sicariae, sub-section Auritae. It is compared to the two species wich are, in our opinion, most closely relative to it, Acianthera bidentula (according to the vegetative characters) and Acianthera saundersiana (according to the floral features).

Inside the country, the Atlantic Rain Forest, very devastated over the years, it's probably one of the richest biomes. The “Serra do Castelo”, in the state of Espirito Santo, is one of the greatest diversity of this biome sites and therefore one of the areas where there is the largest number of orchid species: about 700. To display all of them, four volumes were required .
In the first part, the study area is presented in its various aspects: geography, geology, climate, endemism, natural history of orchids and history of its discoverers. The second part is dedicated to the presentation of 700 species, divided into 145 genera, belonging to three subfamilies: taxonomy, geographical distribution, material studied, complete morphological description, accompanied whenever possible with a photograph of colored flower and a botanical board.
