However, we found the lack of a study conducted to examine the compatibility of training between training institutions and industry. Thus, this study was undertaken to determine the level of matching between the fields of study with work and identify the underlying factors that affect compatibility between fields of study with the underlying employment among graduates. Our research involves Community College trainees in the field of electrical which graduation in 2013. This study is a quantitative study using a questionnaire as an instrument. Descriptive statistics such as frequencies and percentages and inferential statistical analysis such as Cramer -V Correlation test was used to analyze the data. The education system must, therefore, aim to ensure quality training for the production of employable graduates. Soft skills are personal abilities that one retains and can adequately be nurtured through active participation of students in the teaching and learning process. It is validated by researchers that the prevalent employability skills deficiencies have been one of the main causes of unemployment globally. Consequently, soft skills have all the potentials for equipping graduates with adequate employability skills. Thus, this study investigated the effect of project-based learning on the development of soft skills among technical students at technical and vocational colleges, Kaduna State, Nigeria Smart PLS software was used to test the developed model. This study identified important green skill areas in relation to building energy efficiency that are suitable for inclusion in the Building Construction Programme (BCP) at universities for the attainment of environmental sustainability. A questionnaire was used with 308 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using Descriptive Statistics, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The supremacy of the identified energy efficiency skills over the non-energy efficiency skills is confirmed as its integration into BCP helps in realising environmental sustainability. Findings include the ability to use of mathematics and processed data to identify the energy-intensive steps of a construction and process eliminate or reduce resource loss to improve energy efficiency. Viable suggestions were provided to the government for the adoption and practical implementation of these findings.

Several developed and developing countries have taken important measures to reduce its adverse effects, including greening their Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) curricula. However, Sub Saharan African countries are left behind to that effect, despite the fact that people in these countries are the greatest recipients of the global warming harmful consequences. The goal of this research therefore, is to investigate the suitable competencies in technical sustainability for incorporation into Higher National Diploma electrical/electronic engineering curriculum in Nigeria. The authors used mixed-method approach employing sequential exploratory design in the study. In the qualitative phase, we analyzed documents consisting of 10 journal articles and 3 skills standards, as well as conducted a total of 10 interviews with experts. Also, we carried out 3 rounds of modified Delphi survey using 28 participants to ascertain the appropriateness of the competencies suitable for infusion into the said curriculum. The study discovered competencies suitable for incorporation into the curriculum which include cognitive-related competencies in clean energy, eco-design, and R&D; psychomotor-related competencies in sustainable production, waste-to-energy-technology, communication/ICT, and use of modern engineering software tools; and affective values related to engineering ethical responsibility, occupational health and safety, cooperation/teamwork, and equity. We analyzed only 13 documents, conducted 10 interviews, and administered questionnaires in 3 rounds of Delphi survey technique to 28 experts in only one geo-political zone of the country. Thus, conclusions derived from these sources rely on the genuineness of the information provided by the participants. The findings provided the researchers, accreditation bodies as well as curriculum developers with competencies in technical sustainability in the events of curriculum upgrade or renewal to integrate technical sustainability. The findings are the results of triangulated data elicited theoretically and empirically.

Project-Based Learning (PjBL), in its nature as a pedagogical method, has the capability of harnessing the potential of students in soft skills. The purpose of this study was to develop a PjBL conceptual framework for integrating soft skills among students of technical colleges. The population goal for the study was made up of 372 technical teachers from 22 government technical colleges across the sample area. Considering the heterogeneous complexity of the population from which the survey is extracted, the stratified technique of random sampling was used to choose the 295 participants for the study. Through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) models the chi-square values, modification indices, and standardized estimates were developed using Analysis Moment of Structures (AMOS). Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to check the model's causal relationship by the application of AMOS version 20. The study findings revealed PjBL preparation (planning), application, commitment, and assessment techniques each to have a positive significant impact on soft skill improvement among students of technical colleges. On the other hand, the study found that facilitation in project-based learning has a significant yet negative relation to integrating soft skills among students at the technical colleges. Interestingly, the outcome of this research suggests that PjBL in technical colleges will have a substantial positive impact on the integration of soft skills among the students. Based on the finding of the study, the government should provide adequate facilities for appropriate PjBL activities to enhance the integration of soft skills. Technical teachers should employ the PjBL identified elements in the teaching and learning of at technical colleges for effective incorporation of soft skills among the students.

Human resources equipped with specific generic green skills will become a catalyst to penetrate the green job market. On the principle that skills can be shaped through education and training, a qualitative study was conducted using in-depth interviews with senior academics from the School of Education, of a local university in southern Peninsular Malaysia. The interview data were transcribed and analysed using NVivo. The findings showed that generic green skills are additional skills which complement existing generic skills and focus on conserving and maintaining the quality of the environment. Pertaining to that, embedding generic green skills in teaching and learning activities can be carried out through the ingenuous use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) which involves digital skill, internet technology and electricity saving consumption. Furthermore, additional studies of generic green skills are required to contribute to sustainable development.

A virtual learning environment plays an important role in one of the main aims of education and it is designed to educate the user either in school level or at higher learning institutions. The question of how technological advances in this field will impact education is difficult to answer at present with any degree of certainty, but is one that must be considered by educational researchers, teachers, and administrators. Virtual Reality (VR) has been shown to be an effective way of teaching difficult concepts to learners. VR helps instructors motivate students to discover those essential links in a fresh, exciting educational environment which develops well-rounded thinking and real-world behaviors. This study examined gender-related issues in using new virtual reality (VR) technology as a learning tool in career and technical education. this paper reviews the effects of virtual reality learning environment explanation with particular reference toward gender differences in spatial abilities.
