Penguasaan softskill yang perlu dipupuk yaitu kepemimpinan, komunikasi, toleransi dan bahkan keterampilan kemandirian seperti kewirausahaan (enterpreneurship). Jurusan Gizi merupakan institusi vokasional dituntut untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang berkualitas, professional, bersaing dipasar global dan dapat menciptakan peluang kerja. T... more Stunting was one of the nutritional problems in many developing countries, including Indonesia. The long-term impact of stunting was the decreceof the quality of Human Resources (HR). There was many various of interventions, both sensitive intervension even specific intervension, have been carried out by the government to preventing stunting. Nutrition education, sexual education and reproductive health for adolescents was one of the planned special intervention activities. This community service aims to provide an overview of the problem of nutrition, education and stunting prevention in adolescents as one way to reduce stunting rates in the future. The location of this community service activity is at the SMP Baik Sentani, Jayapura Regency. BACKGROUND: Recently, cases of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) have increased significantly s... more BACKGROUND: Recently, cases of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) have increased significantly since the implementation of the new normal policy in Indonesia. AIM: The purpose of this research was to analyze factors related to the preventive practices in combating COVID-19 following the new normal era in Indonesia. METHODS: This research was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design developed in September 2020. The population was the entire population of Indonesia ranged between 12 years old and above. Using accidental sampling technique for samples collection, voluntary respondents were willingly asked to fill in prepared questionnaire through Google Forms that was distributed online through multiple social media platforms (WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram). The total collected samples were 3157 voluntary respondents. Moreover, independent variables that were analyzed including age, gender, education level, knowledge, and attitude of respondents. On the other hand, dependent variable was the preventive practices of COVID-19 in the new normal era. Data analysis consisted of univariate, bivariate (Chi-square test), and multivariate analysis (multiple logistic regression). RESULTS: This research proved that the variables of age, gender, education level, knowledge, and attitude had significant relationship with the practices of preventing COVID-19 among Indonesian (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Age, gender, education level, knowledge, and attitude had significant relationship with the practices of preventing COVID-19 among Indonesian.

Lohan fish is one of the high protein food. The study aimed to analyze the organoleptic properties of lohan fishball. The research type was quasi-experimental with a one-shot case study design on lohan fishballs' organoleptic properties (color, taste, aroma, and texture). The treatment formulation compared three proportions of lohan fish and tapioca flour, namely, F1 50: 50, F2 60: 40, and F3 70: 30. Data analysis was performed using a descriptive method. The hedonic test results showed the most preferred formula was F2 for each attribute: color 55%, aroma 40%, 60% texture, and taste 45%. Keywords: Fishball, Lohan fish, Organoleptic test

BACKGROUND: To suppress the COVID-19 transmissions, almost all activities related to physical and... more BACKGROUND: To suppress the COVID-19 transmissions, almost all activities related to physical and social activities between individuals are restricted. Activity restrictions such as lockdowns or physical-social distancing can trigger an elevation in stress. AIM: This study aimed to determine the correlation between stress levels and food habits among adolescents in Indonesia. METHODS: This cross-sectional study was conducted through an online questionnaire involving 5924 adolescents in all regions in Indonesia using the snowball sampling technique. RESULTS: The survey showed that most adolescents experienced high stress (55.6%). During the COVID-19 outbreak, they seemed rarely consumed or had an intake frequency of fewer than 3 times a day on carbohydrates (89.1%), animal protein (87.5%), vegetable protein (88.9%), vegetables (84.8%), fruit (90.6%), and snacks (86.3%). The purpose of this study was to identify the impacts of the mother's height and calcium inta... more The purpose of this study was to identify the impacts of the mother's height and calcium intake on the incidence of stunting and the implications for child development. It was a cross-sectional study and involved about 78 children aged 3-5 years old from three early childhood education programs in Darul Imarah Sub-district, Aceh Besar District, Indonesia. Chi-square was performed to determine the correlation of the mother's height and calcium intake against the incidence of stunting, and impact of stunting on child development. The results showed that the height of mother (OR=4.0; 95% CI: 1.05 15.12) and calcium intake (OR=4.6; 95% CI: 1.37 15.69) had a significant correlation to the incidence of stunting, while to the child's development (OR=2.5; 95% CI: 0.82 8.11) had no significant impacts. This study could be one of the fundamental basic about the importance of nutritional intake in each life cycle so that the mother's height could be maximized.

Papua has a prevalence of stunting in children under five of 17.8% in 2018. AIM: This study aimed to analyze the influence of breastfeeding and consumption factors on the incidence of stunting in Keerom District, Papua Province. METHOD: This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study was 324 toddlers. Characteristics data and breastfeeding were obtained by interviewing parents. In contrast, data on the consumption of children under five were obtained using the Food Recall. Nutritional status was calculated using the Z-score obtained from measurements of body weight and height of children under five. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembuatan sate dan semur keong mas sebagai maka... more ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembuatan sate dan semur keong mas sebagai makanan sumber protein bagi anak sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bersifat Quasi Eksperimen, menggunakan 2 produk olahan keong mas yaitu sate dan semur. Uji kesukaan pada panelis agak terlatih sebanyak 25 orang dan uji daya terima dari produk terpilih pada 25 orang siswa SD Inpres Negeri Siboi-Boi Kabupaten Jayapura. Hasil uji kesukaan menunjukkan bahwa yang paling disukai adalah olahan sate keong mas yaitu warna (98%), aroma (98%), rasa (98%) dan tekstur (98%). Hasil uji daya terima menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang memiliki daya terima >80% untuk hari ke-1 hingga hari ke-2 sebanyak 100% siswa. The general objective of this research was to analyze the correlation between nutritional status,... more The general objective of this research was to analyze the correlation between nutritional status, food consumption, and first menstruation age (menarche) of female Elementary School children. The research was conducted using cross sectional study design from May to June 2007 in 14 Elementary Schools in Bogor. Sample criteria was: 5 grade student consist of pre menarche and post menarche students. A total of 120 students was chosen by purposive sampling. Spearman Correlation Test shows that there was no correlation between menarche age of mother and menarche age of the sample. Post menarche sample had sufficient energy intake but low iron intake. About 86.7% post menarche sample and 68.3% pre menarche sample had normal nutritional status. Spearman Correlation Test shows that nutritional status (BMI/Age) has negative significant correlation to menarche age (r=-0.062; P<0.05). It means that better nutritional status implied in earlier menarche age.
