Exploring the Moral Logic for Setting the Age of Consent, and For Setting it at 18 This essay is... more Exploring the Moral Logic for Setting the Age of Consent, and For Setting it at 18
This essay is a step-by-step investigation into the ethics, logic, and rationale behind the age of consent. I entered this exploration without any preconceived position, open to the possibility that the widely accepted age of 18 might be incorrect. My goal was to follow the evidence and logic wherever they led, regardless of whether the conclusions aligned with my expectations.
Through a careful and objective analysis, I considered biological, moral, psychological, and social factors, including the ability to make decisions, the capacity to make good decisions, and the potential for harm. I explored the implications of puberty, maturity, and societal norms while systematically addressing arguments for and against various ages of consent.
The findings demonstrate that 18 is the most logical and ethical age of consent. It is the age at which the necessary criteria for decision-making, emotional control, and understanding of consequences are most likely to be met. Setting the age at 18 minimizes harm, aligns with human development, and provides a safeguard against exploitation.
While I acknowledge that arguments could be made for 17 or even 19 in specific contexts, this investigation concludes that 18 is a balanced and rational standard, supported by a solid ethical foundation. Moreover, this essay highlights the importance of promoting chastity and caution among young people, advocating for societal encouragement of responsible behavior and avoidance of premature or risky sexual activity.
This essay underscores that the age of consent is not an arbitrary figure but a critical threshold with profound ethical, psychological, and societal implications.

This monster required a virgin sacrifice, and would kill everyone in the town if it didn’t get one. Eventually, a hero would appear and kill the monster and save the virgin. Thus the town would be saved. I couldn’t understand what this myth meant on a symbolic level. Thus I began investigating the history of human sacrifice, and this step began a wonderfully intriguing journey into the foundations of modern religion, its ties to human reliance on agriculture, and the desperate psychological states of our ancestors of 10,000 years ago. I present that journey here.

It is 10,000 years old, and essentially represents the cycle of the sun, and its effects on agriculture - which in other words means its effects on the life and death of the people who relied on growing crops to live. I describe briefly what the myth is, and how it turned into the core story at the heart of many world religions.

The analysis demonstrates that though the amoral path leads to rapid short term gains in wealth and power, it is greatly diminishing, and limited in terms of scalability. These returns diminish as the operation grows, and eventually reaches the point where it is more costly than the equivalently sized but zero cost ethical operation.
This analysis does not approach the question from the perspective of ethics i.e. what people ought to do, but rather this is strictly objective, and rational - more akin to game theory analysis.
The result is that the ethical path is better in terms of outcomes. Though it has costs upfront due to the difficulty of acquiring resources quickly while following the rules of society or ethics, but these costs are rewarded by unlimited compounding benefits long term. In fact the stability of the ethical approach is so great that it theoretically has no end point i.e. one person's ethical creation could theoretically last forever if people continued to add to it ethically.
Perhaps that's what the best of humanity is -- the ethical building of today's people on the ethical work of yesterday. In any case its better to be good.

Based on my research of Evolutionary Psychology and Evolutionary Biology. Our emotions are not directly under our control, but rather are indirectly influenced by us similar to our body weight or our skin clearness. Emotions are automatic programs which trigger due to environmental conditions or personal behaviour or (possibly) our thoughts.
Thus if we want to stop feeling a negative emotion like sadness, fear and so on - we must identify the behaviours, situations, and thoughts which we are engaging in that is causing the emotion to trigger and stop doing it.
If we want to feel a positive emotion like happiness, we must figure out what behaviours, situations, and types of thinking make us happy. And then purposely engage in them, thus recieving happiness as a result.
I believe this is the basic underlying logic of our emotional systems that could be extremely helpful in self help and therapeutic situations. God bless us all.

This essay explores the evolving concept of masculinity in the context of contemporary society, analyzing the historical, cultural, and biological foundations of male identity. It begins by defining masculinity through core features that have persisted across time, including physical strength, competitiveness, leadership, protectiveness, emotional resilience, legacy-building, and sexuality. The discussion delves into the notion of a "fall of man," highlighting significant societal shifts that have contributed to a contemporary crisis of meaning among men.

The simplest answer is that Israel is a hostile, 'democratic', nation which
essentially prevents middle eastern nations from uniting. If Arab nations are unable to unite, they can never hold any true geopolitical power and therefore can never actually be a threat to US/UK hegemony (global power).
To make it simple; Israel stops any possibility of there being middle
eastern power with actual physical force capabilities beyond money. This
means the Arab nations will never be able to return to military/geopolitical force like they were during the Ottoman caliphate, and previous (for over 1000 years).

Alongside the study of the combat as in terms of its principles, its forms and its components-we must also look into its instruction. A fruitful view of this may be to look at instruction in terms of instructing those who know nothing. After all, combining an individual who is open to all learning with a principle based approach (as we are attempting to lay down) would theoretically create what we have discussed as the near-perfect fighter-combined with correct moral instruction: the near-perfect martial artist. It is to children then, that we turn our attention.
