In the 21st century, where knowledge has rapidly increased and changed, social order and individu... more In the 21st century, where knowledge has rapidly increased and changed, social order and individual needs are also rapidly changing. However, new jobs and professions are emerging. The ability of countries to keep up with this new formation depends on their training of human potential as individuals who can meet the professional needs of the new century. This will be possible by implementing 21st century skills training programs, which are expected to meet the needs of the new century. The most important task here belongs to the teachers who will apply these training programs. For this reason, for the 21st century skills to be gained to the students, teachers with these skills must be trained first. In this direction, the aim of the research is to examine the level of pre-service teachers who will be both learners and teachers of the 21st century and to determine whether the level of possession of these skills differs according to gender and class variables. The research was done with relational screening model. The universe of the research consists of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students of İnönü University Faculty of Education Class Teaching in the 2019-2020 academic year. It is aimed to reach the entire universe. Mann Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis H Test were used for data analysis. 21st century teacher skills scale and 21st century learner skills scale developed by Göksün (2016) were used as data collection tools. As a result of the research, there was a significant difference in autonomous, managerial, productive, and flexible teaching skills according to gender and grade level.
Aralık 2019'da Çin'in Wuhan kentinde ortaya çıkan ve çok kısa bir süre içinde tüm dünyayı etkisi ... more Aralık 2019'da Çin'in Wuhan kentinde ortaya çıkan ve çok kısa bir süre içinde tüm dünyayı etkisi altına alan Koronavirüs (Covid-19) pandemisi nedeniyle 2020 yılının ilk aylarından itibaren başta Avrupa ülkeleri olmak üzere birçok ülkede yüz yüze eğitim faaliyetlerine ara verilerek açık ve uzaktan eğitim faaliyetlerine hız verilmiştir. Türkiye'de de Mart 2020 itibariyle birçok eğitim kademesinde yüz yüze eğitime ara verilerek uzaktan eğitim uygulamalarına başlandı. Bu araştırmanın amacı pandemi süreci ile ortaya çıkan uzaktan eğitim uygulamalarında yaşanan sorunları veli ve öğrenci görüşleri üzerinden belirlemektir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden, durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 15 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisi ve bu öğrencilerin velileri oluşturmuştur. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda velilerin öğrencilere göre uzaktan eğitim sorunlarını daha fazla dile getirdiği görülmüştür. Belirtilen sorunların başında Eğitim Bilişim Ağı (EBA) gelirken, bunu bilgi eksikliğinden kaynaklı sorunlar takip etmiştir.
General Purpose of this research is to identify dominant intelligence areas of students according... more General Purpose of this research is to identify dominant intelligence areas of students according to Multiple Intelligences Theory, and to look for the elements that may have impact on distribution of students to these intelligence areas. Research universe consists of 7 th grade students studying at Malatya Central District secondary schools. Sample consists of 1198 7. Grade student selected via random selection method from above mentioned schools. Research is done by using screening pattern. Çepni's (2010) "ÇokluZekâKuramıDeğerlendirmeÖlçeği", which was designed by utilizing Armstrong's (2009) self-assessment scale in his "Multiple Intelligence in the Classroom" book, has been used in data collection. According to the outcomes of the research distribution of students' area of intelligence is naturalistic intelligence at a significant level. Low-Mid level of significant correlation is identified between distribution of students` areas of intelligence and gender, educational status of father and family`s monthly total income. It is concluded that there is no significant correlation between intelligence areas and mother`s educational status, place of birth, number of siblings and profession of parents. Outcomes of the research are analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 for Windows. Since the parameters used in research are categorical, "Chi-Squared test for single sample" is used in identifying significant deviation between observed and expected values of intelligence area categories. On the other hand, "Chi-Squared test for two variables" is used in order to identify according to which independent variables the intelligence areas differentiate.
This research was conducted with the purpose of analyzing the levels of sense of personal compete... more This research was conducted with the purpose of analyzing the levels of sense of personal competence regarding the teaching profession, based on gender, by students receiving pedagogical formation training at the Inonu University Faculty of Education and the faculty of graduation. Four hundred four students receiving pedagogical formation training were included in the study. The "Teacher's Sense of Personal Competence Scale" developed by Tschannen-Moran and Hoy (2001) and adapted to Turkish by Çapa, Çakıroğlu, and Sarıkaya (2005) was used as a data collection tool in the study. The average (X ̅), t-test, and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) tests were used in the data analysis. As a result of the research, the sense of personal competence felt by pedagogical formation students in regard to the teaching profession were found to be at a sufficient level, while their perceptions of personal competence were observed to show significant variance depending on the faculty of graduation and gender.
The objective of this research is to determine learning styles of the prospective teachers receiv... more The objective of this research is to determine learning styles of the prospective teachers receiving training on pedagogical formation. Additionally it is to find out the relation between their sex and faculty they have studied and the learning styles. The working group of the study is consisted of 470 students that receive training on Pedagogical formation in the Teachers College, Inonu University. For data collection, the Grasha-Reichmann Learning Style Scale, as adapted to Turkish by Sarıtaş and Süral (2010), has been used. The data thus obtained was analyzed by the statistics software SPSS 20. In the study, point mean was used to determine distribution level of the learning styles of the prospective teacher. For analysis of the resulting data, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis Test were used. As to the means in the lower dimensions of the learning styles of the pedagogical formation students, the dependent, independent, contributor, reserved and cooperative learning styles are found to be at the medium level, and the competitive learning style at the higher level. It is seen that the prospective teachers graduated from the Faculty of science/letters are more competitive than the prospective teachers graduated from the Faculty of theology in terms of learning style. In the comparison made by sex, it has been determined that the female prospective teachers are more collaborative and the male prospective teachers are more reserved.
Bu araştırmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stillerini ve öğrenme stillerinin alt boyutlar... more Bu araştırmanın amacı öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stillerini ve öğrenme stillerinin alt boyutlarına dağılımlarının ne düzeyde olduğunu belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2012-2013 eğitim-öğretim yılında İnönü Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 479 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında Sarıtaş ve Süral (2010) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan Grasha-Reichmann Öğrenme Stili Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 20. istatistik programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stillerine dağılımını belirlemek için tek örneklem kay-kare testi kullanılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stilleri ölçeğinin alt ölçeklerinden aldıkları puanlara bağlı olarak rekabetçi öğrenme stili yüksek düzeyde bulunurken; bağımsız, bağımlı, katılımcı, çekingen ve işbirlikli öğrenme stilleri orta düzeyde bulunmuştur.

The most basic way to meet these changing needs has been education. Increasing demand for education is met by public institutions opened by the state and private institutions, the number of which is increasing day by day. At this point, it is important to know the current situation of public and private schools and to make comparisons. In this study, it was aimed to examine primary school data based on MEB statistics. Statistics that are the subject of the research have been handled since the number of primary schools is given separately in the MEB statistics due to the transition to the 4+4+4 education system as of the 2012-2013 academic year. In this study, the case design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. In the study, document analysis was carried out and MEB statistical reports published between 2012-2020 were used as documents. These reports were selected by criterion sampling from purposive sampling methods. In the research, it was found that although the number of institutions decreased in public primary schools, it increased in private primary schools, the number of classrooms and the number of teachers increased both in public primary schools and private primary schools, the number of students decreased in public primary schools, but increased in private primary schools, and the number of female teachers was higher than male teachers in both public and primary schools.

Spoken and written language should be used correctly in order to fulfill these functions properly. Written language, which had many different areas of use, from communication to diplomacy, from science to literature, formal or informal throughout the history, has also gained a place in social media platforms today. Because social media platforms, which have reached millions of users in recent years, have provided individuals with the opportunity to express themselves in different environments, largely through written language. The increase in these opportunities with the development of technological infrastructures has given younger users the opportunity to express themselves in writing by using the written language on social media platforms. As a natural consequence of this, the correct use of written language in accordance with the rules on social media platforms with users from all segments of society and age groups has become an important issue that needs to be examined. The purpose of this study is to examine the spelling errors in the comments made on the YouTube platform. The study is a case study from qualitative research methods. In the study, the data were analyzed through document analysis. The documents to be reviewed consist of the comments of the 4th Grade Turkish Lesson Subject Lecture videos available on YouTube. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the motivations that are effective in teachers' candidates... more Purpose: This study aimed to determine the motivations that are effective in teachers' candidates' choosing the teaching profession and the field they study. In addition, it aimed to examine the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations that are effective in profession and field choices regarding gender, year of study and the field of education. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research was conducted with the relational screening model. The research population comprised students studying at Inonu University, Faculty of Education. The sample was composed of students studying in Preschool Teaching, Turkish Language Teaching, Mathematics Teaching and Classroom Teaching departments at Inonu University Faculty of Education. Non-parametric tests were used because the data did not show normal distribution. Findings: It was determined that the motivation sources effective in teacher candidates' choice of profession and field of education were at the level of "Agree" in the intrinsic field, intrinsic profession, outside profession dimensions and throughout the scale while they were at the level of "Partially Agree" in the outside field dimension. Differences were found in gender in the intrinsic and extrinsic professions and the extrinsic field subdimensions. No difference was found in motivations that are effective in choosing a profession and field according to a year of study. Differences were found in terms of the department of study. Highlights: The motivation of teacher candidates to choose their profession and the field of education is primarily intrinsic. However, it was observed that besides intrinsic motivation sources, a certain level of extrinsic motivation sources was also practical. This situation is promising for the future of education and the teaching profession in Turkey. Öz Çalışmanın amacı: Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğini ve öğrenim gördükleri alanı tercih etmelerinde etkili olan motivasyonları tespit etmektir. Bunun yanında meslek ve alan tercihlerinde etkili olan içsel ve dışsal motivasyonların cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi ve öğrenim görülen alan bakımından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Materyal ve Yöntem: Araştırma, ilişkisel tarama modeli ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın evrenini İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem ise İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği, Türkçe öğretmenliği, Matematik Öğretmenliği ve Sınıf Öğretmenliği bölümlerinde öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Veriler normal dağılım göstermediğinden parametrik olmayan testler kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğretmen adaylarının meslek ve öğrenim gördükleri alanı tercih etmelerinde etkili olan motivasyon kaynakları; içsel alan, içsel meslek, dışsal meslek boyutlarında ve ölçek genelinde katılıyorum düzeyinde iken dışsal alan boyutunda ise kısmen katılıyorum düzeyinde olduğu görülmüştür. İçsel ve dışsal meslek, dışsal alan alt boyutlarında cinsiyet açısından farklılaşmalar bulunmuştur. Sınıf düzeyine göre meslek ve alan seçiminde etkili olan motivasyonlar açısından farklılaşma bulunmamıştır. Öğrenim görülen bölüm açısından farklılaşmalar bulunmuştur. Önemli Vurgular: Öğretmen adaylarının mesleklerini ve öğrenim gördükleri alanı tercih etme motivasyonları daha çok içsel kaynaklıdır. Bu durum Türkiye'nin eğitim geleceği ve öğretmenlik mesleği bakımından umut vericidir. Ancak içsel motivasyon kaynaklarının yanında belirli düzeyde dışsal motivasyon kaynakları da etkili olduğu görülmüştür.

In order to meet the changing social needs, changes are occurring in the field of education as in every field. Countries reorganize their education systems and curricula according to the needs of the age in order to keep up with these developments. The course of science has an important place in raising individuals who can understand and use today's scientific knowledge and technology effectively. In this context, Turkey Science Teaching Program was renovated in 2018 and has been implemented. Comparison of the curricula of the countries is of great importance in terms of developing and improving the curriculum. In this study, it was aimed to reveal the similarities and differences by comparing the Science Teaching Program of Turkey with Primary Science Syllabus of Singapore, which ranks high in international exams in the field of science. In the study, one of the qualitative research methods, "document analysis" was used. The science teaching programs of the countries were examined under the titles of aims, content, values, skills and processes, learning and teaching processes, measurement and evaluation. As a result of the research, it was determined that there are similarities in terms of aims, skills and processes, learning and teaching processes, assessment and evaluation approach, and differences in terms of values and content in the program.

Cooperative learning provides this requirement with a great deal of reward and success. Success increases individual's self-confidence and making him/her more powerful and positive in mathematical learning. By developing an individual's positive attitude, mathematical barriers that may adversely affect his/her success in social interaction with friends might be removed. An individual can also help his/her friends in learning and reinforce his belief and self-esteem. This study aims to reveal the effect of cooperative learning method on students' academic achievement and attitudes towards mathematics in primary school fourth grade math class. The study was carried out with "pre-test-post-test control group experimental design". This pattern allows for the comparison of the success of the cooperative method used in the mathematics course to improve students' achievement and positive attitude towards mathematics."Team Play Tournament Supported Student Teams and Achievement Divisions" (TPT supported STAD) technique, which combined the application of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) and "Team Play Tournament" (TPT) techniques from the cooperative learning applications, was applied to the test group. In the control group, the lessons were taught usingthe instructions in the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) 4th grade Mathematics Teacher's Guide Book. 4th grade primary school students in Malatya Battalgazi during the 2015-2016 academic year were the study participants. They were 40 students (20 in test group and 20 in control group). "Mathematics Attitude Scale" developed by Baykuland "Mathematics Achievement Test" developed by the researcher were applied to the test and control groups as pre-test and post-test. TPT supported STAD technique is more effective in increasing the academic achievement of the students in mathematics course compared to the teacher-centred teaching; however, it is less effective than teacher-centred teaching in their mathematics attitudes.
Bu araştırmanın amacı; ilkokul dördüncü sınıf matematik dersinde işbirliğine dayalı öğrenme yönte... more Bu araştırmanın amacı; ilkokul dördüncü sınıf matematik dersinde işbirliğine dayalı öğrenme yönteminin akademik başarı ve matematiğe karşı tutuma etkisini ortaya çıkarmak ve işbirliğine dayalı yöntem hakkındaki düşüncelerini belirlemektir. Araştırmada tek grup öntest-sontest desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada 4. sınıf matematik programının "Çevre Uzunluklarını Hesaplama" ünitesinde yer alan kazanımlar deney grubunda 23 ders saati boyunca işbirliğine dayalı öğrenme yaklaşımının "Öğrenci Takımları Başarı Bölümleri" ve "Takım Oyun Turnuva" tekniklerinin bir arada uygulanmasını içeren "Takım Oyun Turnuva Destekli Öğrenci Takımları ve Başarı Bölümleri" tekniği uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 2015-2016 öğretim yılının II. döneminde Millî Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı Malatya Battalgazi ilçesinde 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören 10 kız, 10 erkek öğrenci olmak üzere 20 öğrencilerden oluşmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak Baykul (1990) tarafından geliştirilen matematik tutum ölçeği, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen matematik başarı testi ve işbirliğine dayalı öğrenme yöntemini değerlendirme anketi uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde öğrencilerin öntest ve sontest puanları arasındaki fark hesaplanıp, ilerleme puan dizileri oluşturulmuş, daha sonra çalışma grubunun süreçteki akademik başarı ve tutuma ilişkin ilerlemelerinin göstergesi olan bu fark puan ortalamaları normal dağılım gösterdiğinden ilişkisiz 1 Makale yazımı yazar etki oranı: 1. yazar % 50, 2. yazar % 50. Bu araştırmanın amacı, geometrik mekanik zekâ oyunlarının ilkokul 3. sınıf öğrencilerinin matemat... more Bu araştırmanın amacı, geometrik mekanik zekâ oyunlarının ilkokul 3. sınıf öğrencilerinin matematik dersindeki üç boyutlu düşünme becerilerine ve akademik başarılarına etkisini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla geometrik mekanik zekâ oyunlarından tangram, soma küp ve geometrik yapılar kullanılmıştır. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ön test son test eşleştirilmiş kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desende gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deney grubu öğrencilerine 9 hafta boyunca tangram, soma küp ve geometrik yapılar adı verilen zekâ oyunları ile uygulamalar yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; Geometrik mekanik zekâ oyunlarının ilkokul 3. sınıf öğrencilerinin üç boyutlu geometrik düşünme becerilerini geliştirmede ve matematikte geometrik cisim ve şekilleri öğrenme alanındaki akademik başarılarını artırmada etkili olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

Araştırmada sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının matematik öğretimine yönelik öz yeterliklerini ve matematik okuryazarlık düzeylerini belirlemek için tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Dede (2008) tarafından geliştirilen üç faktörlü "Matematik Öğretimine Yönelik Öz-yeterlik Algısı Ölçeği" ve Katrancı ve Şengül (2019) tarafından geliştirilen tek faktörlü yapıya sahip "Matematik Okuryazarlığı Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Matematik okuryazarlığının matematik öğretimine yönelik özyeterliği yordama düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla basit regresyon analizi, İki kategorili değişkenlerin analizinde Bağımsız Örneklemler için T-Testi, dört kategorili değişkenlerin analizinde ise Tek Yönlü ANOVA Testi kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının matematik okuryazarlıklarının ve matematik öğretimine yönelik özyeterliklerinin iyi düzeyde olduğu; cinsiyete ve sınıf düzeyine göre benzer olduğu; matematik okuryazarlığının matematik öğretimine yönelik özyeterliği anlamlı biçimde yordadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Affective skills such as attitudes, beliefs, and self-efficacy of students towards a discipline s... more Affective skills such as attitudes, beliefs, and self-efficacy of students towards a discipline significantly affect their academic success. Likert type scales are frequently used to determine the affective competence levels of individuals regarding a course or discipline. When the literature is examined, it is seen that the number of scales aiming to determine the self-efficacy perceptions of primary school students about the mathematics lesson is quite insufficient. Therefore, in this study, it was aimed to develop a reliable and valid scale that can determine the self-efficacy levels of fourth grade students in mathematics. The method of the study is quantitative and the model is survey. After the literature review, a self-efficacy scale form was prepared for the mathematics course, which consists of 40 items and includes answers in triple Likert type. Ethics committee approval dated 06.01.2022 and numbered 130502 was obtained from the Scientific Research and Ethics Committee of İnönü University for the research. The prepared scale form was applied to 591 fourth grade students who were studying in the Battalgazi and Yeşilyurt districts of Malatya province in the 2021-2022 academic year and selected by simple random sampling method. Of the collected data, 329 were used for exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and 262 for confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Reliability and validity analyzes were performed on the data obtained after the application. In order to ensure content validity, the item pool was arranged in line with expert opinions. Construct validity was ensured by applying EFA and CFA to the draft scale form. After the construct validity analyzes, it was seen that the scale had three sub-dimensions and these dimensions were named as "Attitude", "Practice" and "Motivation". In the reliability analysis, it was seen that the Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient was .84 in the scale, .79 in the "attitude" factor, .71 in the "practice" factor and .63 in the "motivation" factor. As a result of the analyzes and evaluations made, it can be said that the mathematics self-efficacy scale (MSES), which consists of three factors and 13 items, is a valid and reliable scale that can contribute to the literature in determining students' mathematics self-efficacy perceptions.

The sample of the research consists of undergraduate students studying at İnönü University in the 2021-2022 academic year. Simple random sampling method was used to determine the sample. In the study, a total of 1052 students were included in the sample, 536 students in the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) stage and 627 students in the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), different from the sample taken in the EFA. In the research, first of all, an item pool was created in accordance with the purpose of the research and expert opinion was taken for content validity. EFA and CFA were performed to determine the construct validity of the scale. As a result of the EFA, the scale consists of 20 items and two sub-dimensions. The scale meets the model fit index values as a result of CFA. The subdimensions of the scale were named as "advanced skills" and "basic skills". These two subdimensions explained 51.18% of the total variance. The Croanbach Alpha reliability coefficients of the scale were found to be .90 in the "advanced skills" sub-dimension, .87 in the "basic skills" dimension and .92 in the whole scale. As a result, a valid and reliable scale that will contribute to the literature to determine the mobile literacy of undergraduate students has been obtained.

However, new jobs and professions are emerging. The ability of countries to keep up with this new formation depends on their training of human potential as individuals who can meet the professional needs of the new century. This will be possible by implementing 21st century skills training programs, which are expected to meet the needs of the new century. The most important task here belongs to the teachers who will apply these training programs. For this reason, for the 21st century skills to be gained to the students, teachers with these skills must be trained first. In this direction, the aim of the research is to examine the level of pre-service teachers who will be both learners and teachers of the 21st century and to determine whether the level of possession of these skills differs according to gender and class variables. The research was done with relational screening model. The universe of the research consists of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students of İnönü University Faculty of Education Class Teaching in the 2019-2020 academic year. It is aimed to reach the entire universe. Mann Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis H Test were used for data analysis. 21st century teacher skills scale and 21st century learner skills scale developed by Göksün (2016) were used as data collection tools. As a result of the research, there was a significant difference in autonomous, managerial, productive, and flexible teaching skills according to gender and grade level.

Türkiye'de de Mart 2020 itibariyle birçok eğitim kademesinde yüz yüze eğitime ara verilerek uzaktan eğitim uygulamalarına başlandı. Bu araştırmanın amacı pandemi süreci ile ortaya çıkan uzaktan eğitim uygulamalarında yaşanan sorunları veli ve öğrenci görüşleri üzerinden belirlemektir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden, durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 15 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisi ve bu öğrencilerin velileri oluşturmuştur. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda velilerin öğrencilere göre uzaktan eğitim sorunlarını daha fazla dile getirdiği görülmüştür. Belirtilen sorunların başında Eğitim Bilişim Ağı (EBA) gelirken, bunu bilgi eksikliğinden kaynaklı sorunlar takip etmiştir.
General Purpose of this research is to identify dominant intelligence areas of students according... more General Purpose of this research is to identify dominant intelligence areas of students according to Multiple Intelligences Theory, and to look for the elements that may have impact on distribution of students to these intelligence areas. Research universe consists of 7 th grade students studying at Malatya Central District secondary schools. Sample consists of 1198 7. Grade student selected via random selection method from above mentioned schools. Research is done by using screening pattern. Çepni's (2010) "ÇokluZekâKuramıDeğerlendirmeÖlçeği", which was designed by utilizing Armstrong's (2009) self-assessment scale in his "Multiple Intelligence in the Classroom" book, has been used in data collection. According to the outcomes of the research distribution of students' area of intelligence is naturalistic intelligence at a significant level. Low-Mid level of significant correlation is identified between distribution of students` areas of intelligence and gender, educational status of father and family`s monthly total income. It is concluded that there is no significant correlation between intelligence areas and mother`s educational status, place of birth, number of siblings and profession of parents. Outcomes of the research are analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 for Windows. Since the parameters used in research are categorical, "Chi-Squared test for single sample" is used in identifying significant deviation between observed and expected values of intelligence area categories. On the other hand, "Chi-Squared test for two variables" is used in order to identify according to which independent variables the intelligence areas differentiate.
This research was conducted with the purpose of analyzing the levels of sense of personal compete... more This research was conducted with the purpose of analyzing the levels of sense of personal competence regarding the teaching profession, based on gender, by students receiving pedagogical formation training at the Inonu University Faculty of Education and the faculty of graduation. Four hundred four students receiving pedagogical formation training were included in the study. The "Teacher's Sense of Personal Competence Scale" developed by Tschannen-Moran and Hoy (2001) and adapted to Turkish by Çapa, Çakıroğlu, and Sarıkaya (2005) was used as a data collection tool in the study. The average (X ̅), t-test, and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) tests were used in the data analysis. As a result of the research, the sense of personal competence felt by pedagogical formation students in regard to the teaching profession were found to be at a sufficient level, while their perceptions of personal competence were observed to show significant variance depending on the faculty of graduation and gender.

Additionally it is to find out the relation between their sex and faculty they have studied and the learning styles. The working group of the study is consisted of 470 students that receive training on Pedagogical formation in the Teachers College, Inonu University. For data collection, the Grasha-Reichmann Learning Style Scale, as adapted to Turkish by Sarıtaş and Süral (2010), has been used. The data thus obtained was analyzed by the statistics software SPSS 20. In the study, point mean was used to determine distribution level of the learning styles of the prospective teacher. For analysis of the resulting data, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis Test were used. As to the means in the lower dimensions of the learning styles of the pedagogical formation students, the dependent, independent, contributor, reserved and cooperative learning styles are found to be at the medium level, and the competitive learning style at the higher level. It is seen that the prospective teachers graduated from the Faculty of science/letters are more competitive than the prospective teachers graduated from the Faculty of theology in terms of learning style. In the comparison made by sex, it has been determined that the female prospective teachers are more collaborative and the male prospective teachers are more reserved.

Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2012-2013 eğitim-öğretim yılında İnönü Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 479 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında Sarıtaş ve Süral (2010) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan Grasha-Reichmann Öğrenme Stili Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 20. istatistik programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stillerine dağılımını belirlemek için tek örneklem kay-kare testi kullanılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının öğrenme stilleri ölçeğinin alt ölçeklerinden aldıkları puanlara bağlı olarak rekabetçi öğrenme stili yüksek düzeyde bulunurken; bağımsız, bağımlı, katılımcı, çekingen ve işbirlikli öğrenme stilleri orta düzeyde bulunmuştur.

The most basic way to meet these changing needs has been education. Increasing demand for education is met by public institutions opened by the state and private institutions, the number of which is increasing day by day. At this point, it is important to know the current situation of public and private schools and to make comparisons. In this study, it was aimed to examine primary school data based on MEB statistics. Statistics that are the subject of the research have been handled since the number of primary schools is given separately in the MEB statistics due to the transition to the 4+4+4 education system as of the 2012-2013 academic year. In this study, the case design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. In the study, document analysis was carried out and MEB statistical reports published between 2012-2020 were used as documents. These reports were selected by criterion sampling from purposive sampling methods. In the research, it was found that although the number of institutions decreased in public primary schools, it increased in private primary schools, the number of classrooms and the number of teachers increased both in public primary schools and private primary schools, the number of students decreased in public primary schools, but increased in private primary schools, and the number of female teachers was higher than male teachers in both public and primary schools.

Spoken and written language should be used correctly in order to fulfill these functions properly. Written language, which had many different areas of use, from communication to diplomacy, from science to literature, formal or informal throughout the history, has also gained a place in social media platforms today. Because social media platforms, which have reached millions of users in recent years, have provided individuals with the opportunity to express themselves in different environments, largely through written language. The increase in these opportunities with the development of technological infrastructures has given younger users the opportunity to express themselves in writing by using the written language on social media platforms. As a natural consequence of this, the correct use of written language in accordance with the rules on social media platforms with users from all segments of society and age groups has become an important issue that needs to be examined. The purpose of this study is to examine the spelling errors in the comments made on the YouTube platform. The study is a case study from qualitative research methods. In the study, the data were analyzed through document analysis. The documents to be reviewed consist of the comments of the 4th Grade Turkish Lesson Subject Lecture videos available on YouTube. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the motivations that are effective in teachers' candidates... more Purpose: This study aimed to determine the motivations that are effective in teachers' candidates' choosing the teaching profession and the field they study. In addition, it aimed to examine the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations that are effective in profession and field choices regarding gender, year of study and the field of education. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research was conducted with the relational screening model. The research population comprised students studying at Inonu University, Faculty of Education. The sample was composed of students studying in Preschool Teaching, Turkish Language Teaching, Mathematics Teaching and Classroom Teaching departments at Inonu University Faculty of Education. Non-parametric tests were used because the data did not show normal distribution. Findings: It was determined that the motivation sources effective in teacher candidates' choice of profession and field of education were at the level of "Agree" in the intrinsic field, intrinsic profession, outside profession dimensions and throughout the scale while they were at the level of "Partially Agree" in the outside field dimension. Differences were found in gender in the intrinsic and extrinsic professions and the extrinsic field subdimensions. No difference was found in motivations that are effective in choosing a profession and field according to a year of study. Differences were found in terms of the department of study. Highlights: The motivation of teacher candidates to choose their profession and the field of education is primarily intrinsic. However, it was observed that besides intrinsic motivation sources, a certain level of extrinsic motivation sources was also practical. This situation is promising for the future of education and the teaching profession in Turkey. Öz Çalışmanın amacı: Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğini ve öğrenim gördükleri alanı tercih etmelerinde etkili olan motivasyonları tespit etmektir. Bunun yanında meslek ve alan tercihlerinde etkili olan içsel ve dışsal motivasyonların cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi ve öğrenim görülen alan bakımından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Materyal ve Yöntem: Araştırma, ilişkisel tarama modeli ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın evrenini İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem ise İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği, Türkçe öğretmenliği, Matematik Öğretmenliği ve Sınıf Öğretmenliği bölümlerinde öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Veriler normal dağılım göstermediğinden parametrik olmayan testler kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğretmen adaylarının meslek ve öğrenim gördükleri alanı tercih etmelerinde etkili olan motivasyon kaynakları; içsel alan, içsel meslek, dışsal meslek boyutlarında ve ölçek genelinde katılıyorum düzeyinde iken dışsal alan boyutunda ise kısmen katılıyorum düzeyinde olduğu görülmüştür. İçsel ve dışsal meslek, dışsal alan alt boyutlarında cinsiyet açısından farklılaşmalar bulunmuştur. Sınıf düzeyine göre meslek ve alan seçiminde etkili olan motivasyonlar açısından farklılaşma bulunmamıştır. Öğrenim görülen bölüm açısından farklılaşmalar bulunmuştur. Önemli Vurgular: Öğretmen adaylarının mesleklerini ve öğrenim gördükleri alanı tercih etme motivasyonları daha çok içsel kaynaklıdır. Bu durum Türkiye'nin eğitim geleceği ve öğretmenlik mesleği bakımından umut vericidir. Ancak içsel motivasyon kaynaklarının yanında belirli düzeyde dışsal motivasyon kaynakları da etkili olduğu görülmüştür.

Countries reorganize their education systems and curricula according to the needs of the age in order to keep up with these developments. The course of science has an important place in raising individuals who can understand and use today's scientific knowledge and technology effectively. In this context, Turkey Science Teaching Program was renovated in 2018 and has been implemented. Comparison of the curricula of the countries is of great importance in terms of developing and improving the curriculum. In this study, it was aimed to reveal the similarities and differences by comparing the Science Teaching Program of Turkey with Primary Science Syllabus of Singapore, which ranks high in international exams in the field of science. In the study, one of the qualitative research methods, "document analysis" was used. The science teaching programs of the countries were examined under the titles of aims, content, values, skills and processes, learning and teaching processes, measurement and evaluation. As a result of the research, it was determined that there are similarities in terms of aims, skills and processes, learning and teaching processes, assessment and evaluation approach, and differences in terms of values and content in the program.

Cooperative learning provides this requirement with a great deal of reward and success. Success increases individual's self-confidence and making him/her more powerful and positive in mathematical learning. By developing an individual's positive attitude, mathematical barriers that may adversely affect his/her success in social interaction with friends might be removed. An individual can also help his/her friends in learning and reinforce his belief and self-esteem. This study aims to reveal the effect of cooperative learning method on students' academic achievement and attitudes towards mathematics in primary school fourth grade math class. The study was carried out with "pre-test-post-test control group experimental design". This pattern allows for the comparison of the success of the cooperative method used in the mathematics course to improve students' achievement and positive attitude towards mathematics."Team Play Tournament Supported Student Teams and Achievement Divisions" (TPT supported STAD) technique, which combined the application of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) and "Team Play Tournament" (TPT) techniques from the cooperative learning applications, was applied to the test group. In the control group, the lessons were taught usingthe instructions in the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) 4th grade Mathematics Teacher's Guide Book. 4th grade primary school students in Malatya Battalgazi during the 2015-2016 academic year were the study participants. They were 40 students (20 in test group and 20 in control group). "Mathematics Attitude Scale" developed by Baykuland "Mathematics Achievement Test" developed by the researcher were applied to the test and control groups as pre-test and post-test. TPT supported STAD technique is more effective in increasing the academic achievement of the students in mathematics course compared to the teacher-centred teaching; however, it is less effective than teacher-centred teaching in their mathematics attitudes.

Araştırmada 4. sınıf matematik programının "Çevre Uzunluklarını Hesaplama" ünitesinde yer alan kazanımlar deney grubunda 23 ders saati boyunca işbirliğine dayalı öğrenme yaklaşımının "Öğrenci Takımları Başarı Bölümleri" ve "Takım Oyun Turnuva" tekniklerinin bir arada uygulanmasını içeren "Takım Oyun Turnuva Destekli Öğrenci Takımları ve Başarı Bölümleri" tekniği uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 2015-2016 öğretim yılının II. döneminde Millî Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı Malatya Battalgazi ilçesinde 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören 10 kız, 10 erkek öğrenci olmak üzere 20 öğrencilerden oluşmuştur. Araştırmanın evreni İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Dede (2008) tarafından geliştirilen üç faktörlü "Matematik Öğretimine Yönelik Öz-yeterlik Algısı Ölçeği" ve Katrancı ve Şengül (2019) tarafından geliştirilen tek faktörlü yapıya sahip "Matematik Okuryazarlığı Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Affective skills such as attitudes, beliefs, and self-efficacy of students towards a discipline s... more Affective skills such as attitudes, beliefs, and self-efficacy of students towards a discipline significantly affect their academic success. Likert type scales are frequently used to determine the affective competence levels of individuals regarding a course or discipline. When the literature is examined, it is seen that the number of scales aiming to determine the self-efficacy perceptions of primary school students about the mathematics lesson is quite insufficient. Therefore, in this study, it was aimed to develop a reliable and valid scale that can determine the self-efficacy levels of fourth grade students in mathematics. The method of the study is quantitative and the model is survey. After the literature review, a self-efficacy scale form was prepared for the mathematics course, which consists of 40 items and includes answers in triple Likert type. Ethics committee approval dated 06.01.2022 and numbered 130502 was obtained from the Scientific Research and Ethics Committee of İnönü University for the research. The prepared scale form was applied to 591 fourth grade students who were studying in the Battalgazi and Yeşilyurt districts of Malatya province in the 2021-2022 academic year and selected by simple random sampling method. Of the collected data, 329 were used for exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and 262 for confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Reliability and validity analyzes were performed on the data obtained after the application. In order to ensure content validity, the item pool was arranged in line with expert opinions. Construct validity was ensured by applying EFA and CFA to the draft scale form. After the construct validity analyzes, it was seen that the scale had three sub-dimensions and these dimensions were named as "Attitude", "Practice" and "Motivation". In the reliability analysis, it was seen that the Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient was .84 in the scale, .79 in the "attitude" factor, .71 in the "practice" factor and .63 in the "motivation" factor. As a result of the analyzes and evaluations made, it can be said that the mathematics self-efficacy scale (MSES), which consists of three factors and 13 items, is a valid and reliable scale that can contribute to the literature in determining students' mathematics self-efficacy perceptions.

The sample of the research consists of undergraduate students studying at İnönü University in the 2021-2022 academic year. Simple random sampling method was used to determine the sample. In the study, a total of 1052 students were included in the sample, 536 students in the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) stage and 627 students in the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), different from the sample taken in the EFA. In the research, first of all, an item pool was created in accordance with the purpose of the research and expert opinion was taken for content validity. EFA and CFA were performed to determine the construct validity of the scale. As a result of the EFA, the scale consists of 20 items and two sub-dimensions. The scale meets the model fit index values as a result of CFA. The subdimensions of the scale were named as "advanced skills" and "basic skills". These two subdimensions explained 51.18% of the total variance. The Croanbach Alpha reliability coefficients of the scale were found to be .90 in the "advanced skills" sub-dimension, .87 in the "basic skills" dimension and .92 in the whole scale. As a result, a valid and reliable scale that will contribute to the literature to determine the mobile literacy of undergraduate students has been obtained.

Meta-analysis is the method employed in order to statistically analyze the quantitative data collected in independent and multiple studies carried out on similar topics, and to reach a general judgment regarding the results of these studies. Certain criteria were used in order to decide which researches would be included in the meta-analysis. Based on these criteria, it was decided to include 6 experimental studies in the meta-analysis. As a result, for the six studies, the effect size calculated within 95 % confidence interval has proved to be .518 based on random effects model. In this regard, the aim of the research is to examine the pre-service teachers' proficiency in speaking anxiety in terms of some variables. In this direction, the aim of the study was tried to be realized by examining the relevant literature and the answers given by the pre-service teachers to the determined scales. In this study, in which the speaking anxiety of teacher candidates was examined in terms of some variables, in the quantitative dimension of the research, the quantitative research method was used to obtain the data. The target population of the study consists of senior students studying at İnönü University Faculty of Education in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. As a result, based on the findings, it can be said that the teacher candidates in the study did not experience any anxiety that would affect their teaching status about speaking. For this purpose, the study was designed according to the survey design, one of the quantitative research method designs. The sample of the research consisted of students studying in Yeşilyurt and Battalgazi districts of Malatya in the 2021-2022 academic year. Simple random sampling method was used to determine the sample. In the study, a total of 1052 students were included in the sample, 369 students in the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) stage and 683 students in the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), different from the sample taken in the EFA. In the research, first of all, an item pool was created in accordance with the purpose of the research and expert opinion was taken for content validity. The scale, which was modified according to expert opinions, was prepared in triple Likert type and applied. EFA and CFA were performed to determine the construct validity of the scale. As a result of the EFA, the scale consists of 12 items and 3 sub-dimensions. The scale meets the model fit index values as a result of CFA. The sub-dimensions of the scale were named as "love", "extracurricular science" and "interest". These three subdimensions explained 51.39% of the total variance. The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficients of the scale were found to be .68 in the "love" sub-dimension, .71 in the "extracurricular science" sub-dimension, .61 in the "interest" dimension, and .73 in the whole scale. As a result, a valid and reliable scale that will contribute to the literature on determining the attitudes of the primary school 4 th grade students towards science has been obtained.

However, new jobs and professions are emerging. The ability of countries to keep up with this new formation depends on their training of human potential as individuals who can meet the professional needs of the new century. This will be possible by implementing 21st century skills training programs, which are expected to meet the needs of the new century. The most important task here belongs to the teachers who will apply these training programs. For this reason, for the 21st century skills to be gained to the students, teachers with these skills must be trained first. In this direction, the aim of the research is to examine the level of pre-service teachers who will be both learners and teachers of the 21st century and to determine whether the level of possession of these skills differs according to gender and class variables. The research was done with relational screening model. The universe of the research consists of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students of İnönü University Faculty of Education Class Teaching in the 2019-2020 academic year. It is aimed to reach the entire universe. Mann Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis H Test were used for data analysis. 21st century teacher skills scale and 21st century learner skills scale developed by Göksün (2016) were used as data collection tools. As a result of the research, there was a significant difference in autonomous, managerial, productive, and flexible teaching skills according to gender and grade level.

Araştırmada sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının matematik öğretimine yönelik öz yeterliklerini ve matematik okuryazarlık düzeylerini belirlemek için tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Dede (2008) tarafından geliştirilen üç faktörlü "Matematik Öğretimine Yönelik Öz-yeterlik Algısı Ölçeği" ve Katrancı ve Şengül (2019) tarafından geliştirilen tek faktörlü yapıya sahip "Matematik Okuryazarlığı Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Matematik okuryazarlığının matematik öğretimine yönelik özyeterliği yordama düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla basit regresyon analizi, İki kategorili değişkenlerin analizinde Bağımsız Örneklemler için T-Testi, dört kategorili değişkenlerin analizinde ise Tek Yönlü ANOVA Testi kullanılmıştır. GRASHA-REICHMANN SCALE EVALUATION OF LEARNING STYLES BY TEACHER CANDIDATES The aim of this prospective teachers' learning styles and their distribution to the lower size of the study is to determine what is the level of learning styles. In the study group of the research in the 2012-2013 academic year, 479 students from Inonu University form. The collection of data and Sural Saritas (2010) by the Turkish version of the Grasha-Reichmann Learning Style Inventory was used. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 20 statistical software. One sample to determine the distribution of learning styles of teachers-square test was used in the research record. Competitive learning styles, depending on their score and subscales of the learning styles of teacher candidates found high levels of scale; independent, dependent, participatory, and collaborative has been timid moderate learning styles.

Bununla birlikte yeni iş alanları ve meslekler ortaya çıkmaktadır. Ülkelerin bu yeni oluşuma ayak uydurabilmeleri sahip oldukları insan potansiyelini yeni yüzyılın mesleki ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilecek bireyler olarak yetiştirmelerine bağlıdır. Bu da yeni yüzyıl ihtiyaçlarına cevap vereceği öngörülen 21. yüzyıl becerileri eğitim programlarının uygulanmasıyla mümkün olacaktır. Burada en önemli görev bu eğitim programlarını uygulayacak olan öğretmenlere düşmektedir. Bu nedenle 21. yüzyıl becerilerinin öğrencilere kazandırılabilmesi için öncelikle bu becerilere sahip öğretmenlerin yetiştirilmesi gerekir. Bu doğrultuda araştırmanın amacı 21. yüzyılın hem öğreneni hem de öğreteni olacak olan öğretmen adaylarının bu becerilere ne düzeyde sahip olduklarını incelemek ve bu becerilere sahip olma düzeylerinin cinsiyet ve sınıf değişkenlerine göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını saptamaktır. Araştırmanın evreni 2019-2020 Eğitim Öğretim yılında İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği 2., 3. ve 4. sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Evrenin tümüne ulaşılması amaçlanmıştır. Veri analizinde Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal-Wallis H Test kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Göksün (2016) tarafından geliştirilen 21. yüzyıl öğreten becerileri ölçeği ile 21. yüzyıl öğrenen becerileri ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının öğrenen becerilerinde otonom, öğreten becerilerinde ise esnek öğretme becerilerinin sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı görülmüştür.

For this purpose, tangram, soma cube and geometric structures from geometric mechanical intelligence games were used. The study was carried out with a quasi-experimental design with pre-test post-test paired control group, which is one of the quantitative research methods. The experimental group students were given applications with intelligence games called tangram, soma cube and geometric structures for 9 weeks. According to the findings obtained, it was concluded that geometric mechanical intelligence games were effective in increasing the three-dimensional geometric thinking skills of primary school 3rd grade students and increasing their academic success in the field of learning geometric objects and shapes in mathematics.

Araştırmanın örneklemini 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında İnönü Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören lisans öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemin belirlenmesinde basit seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır.
