Objective data was compiled from Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) publications between the years 2013 and 2018 to separate the exporters in the research universe into two separate export performances and the subjective data were collected by using the survey method. The sample comprises 438 mid-to-high-level white-collar employees from 21 companies operating in exporting goods. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was used for validity as the theoretical structures of the scales were revealed by the researchers who developed the scales. Then reliability analysis performed and finally the relationship between authentic leadership and entrepreneurship orientation perceptions in exporting companies with different export performances was examined by linear regression analysis. The research findings indicated that there were significant relationships between authentic leadership and the entrepreneurship orientation for the companies with both increasing and decreasing export performances. Considering authentic leadership and entrepreneurship orientation scale averages together, higher averages were observed in the group whose export performance increased. The research findings also show that, when the authentic leadership scale increased, then it causes an increase in entrepreneurship orientation scores for both groups.

It has become a global phenomenon by addressing the basic needs of humans, which are neglected, and enriching communities and societies. This chapter introduces the context of social entrepreneurship and its background; it continues by exploring the related terms and characteristics of social entrepreneurship. Over the years, social entrepreneurship has emerged as a distinctive context by integrating the resourcefulness of traditional entrepreneurship with the compelling drive to address social problems. Social entrepreneurship needs to be properly defined and it requires a theoretical framework that links it to the theory of entrepreneurship. The purpose of this chapter is to review and extend the current literature by providing insight about social entrepreneurship in the spectrum of entrepreneurship through value creation. As a result, this chapter suggests implications for social entrepreneurs and boundaries for social entrepreneurship.

The critical point for fierce competition and survival of the organizations is the ability of management of employees’ attitude and directing their behaviors towards organizational purposes. Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) could be defined as the performance that supports the social and psychological environment in which task performance takes place. Apart from the roles and responsibilities given, employees who engage in behaviors outside of their tasks and roles and those who serve these behaviors for organizational purposes play a crucial role on the benefits of the organizations. Entrepreneurship is the most important factor that enables organizations to gain competitive advantage in the industry that they operate. Supporting innovative and entrepreneurial behaviors and attitudes is expected to create an advantage in the competitive environment. Entrepreneurial orientation (EO) could be defined as a construct of two dimensions including entrepreneurial behaviors and managerial attitude towards risks. Entrepreneurial behaviors could be defined as innovativeness and proactiveness; whereas managerial attitude towards risk could be defined as an inherent managerial tendency existing at the level of the senior managers tasked with developing and implementing strategies—favoring strategic actions that have uncertain outcomes. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and entrepreneurial orientation by conducting a quantitative research in the hospitality industry.

A review of the management literature shows that intellectual curiosity into Siyasat-Nama and Kutadgu Bilig is stuck on the level of sympathy. However, both thinkers deserve a deep scientific exploration by taking the administrative facet of their thoughts into account. The qualitative content analysis of these two texts exposes a list of attributes that make a ruler effective. Among them, justice, integrity, and benevolence are attributes that render administration ethical. This study firstly analyzes these ethical administrative attributes comprehensively aiming to discover how they are interconnected, and secondly links them to ongoing ethics-based discussions in order to derive concrete implications for contemporary business management. Briefly stated, integrity, justice, and benevolence in unison generate a framework of ethical administration. Each attribute has equally significant place in the system. To draw an analogy, integrity is the foundation of an administrative structure; justice is the structure itself, and benevolence is its ornament.

Today, there is a growing perception among entrepreneurs that success cannot be achieved solely through maximizing short-term profits and the growing importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on business success and positive impact on society is accepted responsible for breakthrough innovations that influence the growth of free market economy and its general performance. This study aims to serve as an impetus for multidisciplinary research and further discussion on the entrepreneurial implications of CSR for sustainable development. Observing the positive social impact of entrepreneurs catering to basic needs, this study recognizes the important role in efficiently contributing to the achievement of sustainable development. Moreover, possible reasons of why entrepreneurs should be involved in sustainable development to reveal the motivations for sustainable development and underlying dimensions in decision making will be discussed. The study will provide a unique contribution to the literature as an example from a CSR-based perspective for the related field.

In this regard, family constitution of a family owned business located in İzmir, was examined and in-depth interviews and exploratory case study analysis from qualitative research methods were applied.
