The fish species were collected from river Swat during a period from April to August 2016 and transported to the department of zoology University of Peshawar Pakistan where weighted and biochemical analysis were carried out. The average moisture contents was (58.133 to 72.133) fats was (1.0000 to 6.0000), ash was (3.3333 to 8.0000) and protein was (14.667 to 22.667). The mean value of body constituents were statistically significant (P<0.05).This study showed that all the five fish species of family Cyprinidae are a good source of protein, while it is recommended for human health because of fewer fats in its body as compared to the other edible mass 1. Introduction Fish contain essential protein and other vital nutrients that are broadly consumed by all the people [1]. Fish meat is favored because it contains low lipids and has high water as compared to beef or chicken meat [2] .Polyunsaturated fatty acids of fish have preventive and curative effects for several diseases such as cancers, inflammatory diseases and arterial hypertension [3]. Various species of fish do not provide the same nutrients to their consumers [4]. Differences in the proximate compositions of different fish species may be accredited to sex, size, age, habitats, feeding of food and feeding rate [5] .The main body constituents of fish include protein, lipid, ash and water. Carbohydrates and non-protein compounds are also important constituents but are present in small amounts and are usually ignored during analysis [6, 7]. Fish meat is favored because it contains low lipids and has high water as compared to beef or chicken meat [8]. Not only this, fish is also demanded on high rate feed. Although information related to chemical nature of freshwater fishes in general is valuable to nutritionists and is concerned with readily available source of low fat, high protein and more water [9]. The variation in the chemical nature is just due to the fact that these species belong to different location while age variation, season and maturity in the same species may also contribute to the significant differences in the total lipids [10]. The information about fats, proteins and minerals contents and how they show variation to size and condition factor are of great importance for the fish used as a food by consumers. It also facilitates the selection of nutritive species which have optimum size and more protein components. These are certain information's that help the overall technique and are very helpful in aquaculture [11]. This research work was undertaken to evaluate the composition of different fish species of river Swat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan.

The objective of the current study was to update the baseline of helminthological surveys conducted on chukar partridges (Alectoris chukar) in northern Pakistan. After reviewing the available literature, a parasite-host association checklist was developed. Nematodes (53.8 %) were the most commonly reported parasite, followed by cestodes (15.3 %) and trematodes (15.3 %) respectively. Seventy (70) chukar partridge (Alectoris chukar) distributed across the Malakand division of northern Pakistan were screened for parasitosis during the period from October 2020 to the end of December 2021. Blood samples of all the specimens were screened for haemoprotozoa, the digestive tract was examined for protozoans and helminths. The examined birds were infected with nine different helminth parasite species identified as cestodes (4 species), trem...

The study of samples comprised of 250 pregnant women in the different trimester. Blood sample from each woman was collected and full blood count (FBC) was conducted through Mindray BC-3000 plus hem analyzer for all pregnant individuals. Confirmed anemic cases were then examined for IDA with serum ferritin, serum iron, total iron binding capacity (TIBC) through Randox kit and serum transferrin saturation was estimated by formula (serum ferritin saturation =serum iron ×100/TIBC). The total number of participants in the first trimester were 50, among them 26 women were suffer from iron deficiency anemia (IDA) with 52% weightage of prevalence rate, (mean Hb concentration 9.602 ± 0.87 g/dl). The rates of IDA were 63.3%; (mean Hb concentration 8.48 ± 1.24 g/dl) and 54%; (mean Hb concentration 9.18 ± 1.28 g/dl), among 150 and 50 participants in the second and third trimester, respectively. A significant correlation was found between serum ferritin and Hb, serum ferritin against MCV and serum ferritin against MCH. The high prevalence of anemia was found 78.2% in the age group from 26-30 followed by 78.2% in the age group 36-40 years compared to those of other age groups in the second trimester. In this study the prevalence of IDA in third trimester is lower compared to first and second trimester.

The abundance of the species at different altitudes was studied using both transect trails of various lengths and point counts at certain spots. The average monthly population density was estimated to be 1.448±0.466 birds/ha. The population density in August, September, and October 2020 was significantly (P<0.05) higher, as compared to the rest of the months. Chukar Partridge sightings were the lowest in December, with mean±SD = 0.996±0.147 birds/ha and the highest in October 2.333±0.202 birds/ hae in all the study sites. At each study site, maximum activity habitats were marked and selected for breeding ecology study. Data was collected on breeding time, nest site selection, nest size, incubation period, and hatching success. The breeding season in this species starts in February, with the peak months being March and April, when ...

The HEP fillers were incorporated into the vinyl ester matrices at different loading amounts, ranging from 0 to 9 wt %, to reinforce and toughen the vinyl ester composite. The optimum mechanical properties of the HEP-toughened epoxy composite can be achieved by the addition of 5 wt % HEP filler into the vinyl ester matrices. The toughening and strengthening of the epoxy composites involved the interlocking of vinyl ester resins into the pore regions on the HEP fillers. The toughening and interlocking mechanisms of HEP-toughened vinyl ester composites were also proposed and discussed. The addition of HEP fillers into vinyl ester matrices increased the glass transition temperature (T g) and thermal stability of the composites. V C 2011
