Missed a lot of it Thursday because I hosted our reading group so didn't get to haughty_hottie and others performing, things at the CRL and the debut of Okay Montain.

Friday, painted a bit. Dan picked up Brooklyn painter and former student Erik Parker at the airport and dropped by. The the three of us out for a late breakfast and a visit with a couple grads at UT. I skipped out to collate my trade portfolio prints. Now signed and waiting to be delivered.

Some kinda artworld bash at the new Blanton friday night saw the three, well two of us, sipping and gulping Blantinis. Peter and Sally Saul where in to for the openings and there is a gathering tonight at Sarah for them. Anyway there was a hellva lot of people there last night and the real final 24 hour opening is tonight and I am staying away.
Luminosity event is one thing I am going to try to view tonight.

So today, I was painting away, up early some how after all of the recent activity when John R. calls and says he wants to bring over some one, Leslie G, to look at my monotypes. Shit, they are all, I discovered, in my office. So I drive in. Damn, campus is busy and parking is rare, but pick the heavy box of them up. Okay, I'm in town, lets look at the stuff at Okay Mountain. Great space. For some reason Rachel K was reminded of my drawings by what was up, huh, well ok. I like Rachel and always happy to see my name in the press. Stopped by Art Palace when I saw the POD outside, a fine idea for a portable gallery. Any how, I get the monotypes home, the visitors are here for 45 minutes but walk away with one print and talk of getting a drawing at the Austin gallery I show at.

After that I mowed the lawn and read
