**Pairing:**Finn Hudson/Brendon Urie
**Word Count:**~17500
**Rating/Warnings:**PG-13, some swearing, reference to sexual situations, random song lyrics
**Beta:**the lovely Shen
**Dedicated to:**Shen for the kindest words and my stronger self-esteem, to Eliana for the care and encouragement, to Jesse, despite everything
**Disclaimer:**Written before the death of Cory Monteith and not intended for any disrespect toward him or his closest. Also not intended as disrespectful to real musicians mentioned and written about. I've never met these people and this most definitely didn't happen.
Summary:
Due to a twist of fate, Finn Hudson ends up as a tech on baby Panic's first tour. Brendon decides he has another victim for piggyback rides and Disney movies and Finn is used to Sue Sylvester type chaos so he fits right in. He's also developing some feelings for his hyperactive frontman, but is determined to put them aside, because Brendon is famous and talented, while he's just a tech on his tour. It's not until those feelings start becoming mutual that the real problems start.
So Finn is running away, Brendon isn't sure what he wants and everyone just wants them to stop with the drama already.
Authors note: The Glee part is a bit AU for my own purposes and indepth knowledge of Glee isn't required, you just need to know that Sebastian Smythe is pretty much an asshole.
Notes on the timeline: The Glee timeline has been moved so it happens before Panic gets signed therefore Finn is actually older than Brendon.

A dip in my daddy's record collection
May 29th, 2013
One thing about my dad is that he had awesome taste in music. Seriously the man was soo much cooler than me at this age, it's kinda sad. He listened to a lot of rock and blues music and we still have his extensive vinyl collection in pristine condition. One of his favourite bands was Taste, which was fronted by guitarist Rory Gallagher.
And he is awesome! The man does things to a guitar that I didn't know were possible.
And then dad goes and drops this gem:"When I was 17 I went to London and I saw him in concert. They even let us sit on the stage!" And then my head exploded from jealousy.

Funkadelic were a funk band, most prominent during the early 70ts. How did I find them? I don't really know. Maybe it was fate.
The first time I heard this song, I sort of lost myself for a while. I don't really remember what happened while I was listening, but I know that I woke up after it was over to find myself pacing the room and crying. It's just a guitar, but somehow it's so much more. It shredds your soul into pieces and doesn't give them back right, but it's so worth it, because you get something from it that you didn't realise was missing.
The only people for me are the crazy ones.

They're hailed as the next indie sensation or as the saviours of music and I...I can see it.
They've got something and I don't know what it is, but I keep coming back to their Silence yourself album and listening all the way through. Sometimes they'll strike a chord or Jehnny Beth will sing a phrase and I think I've almost got it, that something, but then it's gone. They're something different, definitely and I can't wait to hear more from them. Their live shows are supposed to be pretty sick, so maybe the next time I'm in London...
