Hema Date n the 21st century, the COVID-19 pandemic has made career choices the most complex, cha... more Hema Date n the 21st century, the COVID-19 pandemic has made career choices the most complex, challenging, and I difficult task. Over the last decade, there has been growth in technological advances, undefined professions, and work instability. In present times, one's career is more flexible, and the current generation workforce changes their work and employers easily and freely (Lyons et al., 2012) as it provides individuals with the opportunity to participate in work activities that are more appealing and creates goals for future life. In the current scenario, career paths are becoming more and more unpredictable and require more flexibility from individuals (Krumboltz & Levin, 2010), and they have to adjust career plans and goals well, often due to the accelerated pace of change and workplace uncertainty. In this new world of work, the need to change jobs or occupations frequently over one's career has become the rule rather than the exception. The present paper brings a dynamic and systematic literature review (SLR) on career decision-maki... more The present paper brings a dynamic and systematic literature review (SLR) on career decision-making (CDM) with the purpose to a) to review and analyze the academic literature on career decision-making, conduct a content analysis for the purpose of classification and provide a comprehensive bibliography b) to categorise the articles according to journals, authors, and year of publication c) develop a classification of the research articles on the basis of research methods mostly conceptual, empirical or case study. In addition, this paper contributes an overview of 127 peer-reviewed journal articles on CDM from 1991 to the end of 2018. Moreover, the study contributes to identifying the various untapped areas for further research in terms of industry, country of study, research methods, type of study, by providing propositions that guide upcoming research.

In today's unpredictable, uncertain, and challenging settings at the work place, an individual mu... more In today's unpredictable, uncertain, and challenging settings at the work place, an individual must be able to adapt and thrive. The relationship between career resilience and job readiness in youth is explored in this research, for which 7 young volunteers were chosen to participate in this study applying an appreciative inquiry approach, those who have been badly affected by the COVID-19 crisis and lockdown due to which there is a considerable risks of employment, education, mental health and disposable income. The data was collected through narrative interview and grounded theory and self-construction theory. The participants tell their stories and overall experiences to develop considerable insights that have prospective to bring development.
