More Than Music
She’d thought it was the music. That it was what drew Oz to Veruca. The fact that they shared the same interest, the same language. A language she didn’t understand, that she couldn’t share with the boy she loved. So Willow felt helpless as she watched the two of them so often engrossed in conversation, watched Oz slipping away from her.
She tried everything she could think of to hold on to him. But she knew, despite Xander’s reassurances, that it meant something bad when Oz refused her amorous advances. Still, that premonitory intuition didn’t lessen her shock and heartbreak when she went to let Oz out of the cage he locked himself in when the moon was full. Didn’t spare her a modicum of agony when she realized that it wasn’t just the music that had drawn him to Veruca.
The End.
