Welcome to Jrockroleplay, the largest jrock roleplaying community on livejournal (or any journal community for that matter)!!

MAKING A CLAIM
* Before making a claim, please check our claims list to make sure the person you want isn't already claimed. Deceased rockers are NOT available to be claimed, and cross-claims from other independent claiming communities are not permitted (please see here for more info). This includes claiming the same person on the same day in another community with a different journal name. If you're still in the running at this point, please post to the community a claim post in this format:
* Make sure that in the SUBJECT of your entry you include the word CLAIM. Also, please use the tag claim on your claim post. This is only to make sure that no one is missed when lists are updated. Click here to learn more about LJ's tags system if it's new to you.
* Please link your personal LJ so that we know who you are. (You may remain anonymous to the group if that is your preference, but please email all three of the moderators (jrockroleplay *AT* gmail DOT com) to let them know who you are/what your personal LJ is, and a screenname you can be reached at. Anonymity will generally be granted and the decision is yours, of course, but please know that you will probably be "found out" in the end. Please also give us a screenname that YOU the writer/mun can be contacted via. Please do NOT link a fake livejournal, your claim will be denied. If your Livejournal looks fake (no or very little posts, no or very little comments, brand new), we will deny your claim. Why? If you are new to LJ journaling, there is very little chance you will jump into a game as large as this one with no LJ experience. If you had signed up at the behest of another person but are not active on LJ, from our experience, there is little chance you will continue to pay attention here. Therefore, for the health of our community, claims with journals that are too new or that look fake will be denied.
* Please then link the LJ that you will be using for your character, along with their name, the name of the band they're in (or whether they're solo), and what AIM screenname they can be contacted via. This community uses AIM for 98% of its roleplaying, we do not use ANY OTHER form of messenger outside of LJ comments. If you do not use AIM, please do not join JRRP. Also, when you create a screenname for your character, please make it easy to tell who you/s/he IS, i.e. "jrrp sugizo" or "jrrp gackt". Lastly, regarding AIM SNs: if you insist that you use only one SN for yourself and your character, or your many characters, please let us know what is the BEST name to use to contact you for roleplaying. Do not give us a screenname that you will never use, it will only cause frustration.
* WAIT FOR AN APPROVAL COMMENT before you start replying to other comments and/or posting. Repeat: do not reply to comments OR post in character until you are approved! Approval will be as fast as possible, as it is not our administrative practice to waste time approving claims unless there are some sticky circumstances. Those circumstances, if they are present, will be addressed with you the claimer as quickly as possible following the claim, most often in an [admin] comment asking you to contact someone on AIM to discuss the claim. If you think the mods have forgotten you, please feel free to poke them on AIM! We don't purposefully ignore claims ever, but sometimes if a claim is made while we're at work, or away, etc., we forget to approve them. Don't be afraid to poke us to ask what's up! :)
* JOIN 
jraged, this is mandatory. Jraged is a place where people discuss the roleplay, be they problems, jokes, attempts to get into contact with people, complaints, questions, curiosities, or just plain posted fanart or logs for the amusement of the members. You will NOT be approved until you join jraged, and if you do not WATCH jraged you will miss out on a LOT of things that happen in the community.
NOTE: Jrockroleplay is a place for jrock roleplaying, NOT krock, kpop, cpop, etc. etc. etc. We do, however, have several sister communities that operate in the same universe as jrrp, and we encourage you to join them with your jpop, krock, kpop, cpop, actor muses. They are as follows:koreanmusicrp: The place for Korean musicians.jpoproleplay: The place for Japanese pop musicians.asianidolsrp: The place for Asian idols.jrrpcircle: The place for.... anyone else. XD
Please keep in mind that sometimes the line between these community boundaries is blurred, and so some members are allowed posting access in more than one community. The TRAX, for example, are a Korean rock group heavily promoted as being produced by Yoshiki of X JAPAN fame. They have had dual releases in both Korea and Japan, are releasing Japanese music IN Japan, and are performing in Japan. For those reasons the members of the band are allowed to be posting members in both JRRP and KMRP. Bi(Rain) is another example of a Korean musician that has made a successful, popular debut in Japanese pop music, so he is allowed posting privileges in both KMRP and JPRP. If you think that your character/muse should be allowed membership in more than one community, please contact all the admins of those communities to obtain permission. The moderators of each community are different groups of people, so it is necessary to contact each community's staff for permission. ALSO: though posting privileges cannot be granted for all muses in all communities, commenting is allowed by anyone anywhere they'd like. This is somewhat tricky considering whatever language barriers there may be betweeen JRRP/JPRP, CMRP, and KMRP, but I guess we're tossing that to "in theory" since the only language all we muns/writers have in common is English anyway.
RULES FOR MEMBERS (the short version. click here for the long version.)
1) Be respectful of your fellow players/muns.
2) Do NOT troll the claims list for AIM names or LJs. Do NOT advertise in the community, we are NOT here to peruse your ebay auctions or give you health advice. Posts in the community that abuse its fundamental purpose will be deleted.
3) Understand the difference between muses and characters.
4) You are allowed to make additional claims after one month has passed from your first claim date. You may make up to three additional claims, with the maximum amount of claims per member being 4.
5) If you do not post for 2 months, your claim will be revoked and the character will be available for someone else. Claims on cut characters are allowed after 24 hours has passed from the time they were cut/dropped. Note: If you claim and do not post for one month following your claim, it will be presumed that you have lost interest and you will be cut for inactivity.
6) If your character/muse is dropped/cut, you may reclaim them if one month has passed since their cut/drop date and no one else has claimed them. If you lose a character/muse for inactivity/drops twice, you will not be allowed to reclaim them for a third time.
7) Only posts made IN jrockroleplay count toward the 2 month activity limit.
8)It is possible to put your muses on hiatus.
9) Do NOT post graphic sexual content (i.e. logs of sexual encounters) in the community.
10) JRRP is, for the most part, NOT an alternate universe (AU) community, HOWEVER: sometimes things happen in the community that deviate from real life.
11) PLEASE enjoy yourselves! jraged is a place to share jokes, art, humour, etc., as well as concerns and questions, don't be afraid to use it!
12) Contact the adminstaff if you have any questions, concerns, or comments regarding the rules, or anything about the community.
