Termolüminesans olay radyasyon dozlarının ölçülmesinde yaygın olarak kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Bu... more Termolüminesans olay radyasyon dozlarının ölçülmesinde yaygın olarak kullanılan bir yöntemdir. Bu yöntem ile radyasyon dozlarının ölçülmesinde dikkat edilmesi gereken en önemli nokta termolüminesans ışımayı belirleyen temel tuzak parametrelerinin belirlenmesidir. Bu parametrelerin belirlenmesi ve termolüminesans ışıma mekanizmasının açıklanması için bugüne kadar birçok model ileri sürülmüştür. Bu çalışmada etkileşimli çoklu tuzak modeli incelenmiş, fiziksel modeli yapılmış, model tarafından ileri sürülen diferansiyel denklemler sayısal yöntemler ile çözülmüş ve sonuçlar gerçek malzemeler ile kıyaslanmıştır. Teorik ve deneysel çalışmalardan elde edilen sonuçlar ışığında bu modelin termolüminesans mekanizmayı açıklamadaki başarısı tartışılmıştır.

Background:The natural radioac vity levels in soil samples of Karadağ Mountain in central Anatoli... more Background:The natural radioac vity levels in soil samples of Karadağ Mountain in central Anatolia region have been determined. Materials and Methods: Analyses on the collected samples were performed to determine gross alpha and beta radioac vity concentra ons by using a gas-flow propor onal counter and the concentra ons of U, Th and K by using a NaI(Tl) scin lla on detector. Results: The es mated ac vi es of gross alpha and beta ranged between 305.155±46.830 and 1305.437±77.23 Bq.kg-1, 479.743±22.658 and 1177.373±30.908 Bq.kg-1, respec vely. The mean ac vity values of U, Th and K radionuclides were found to be 71.6, 83.9 and 451.1 Bq.kg-1, respec vely. Also, known radia on health hazard indices were calculated using radioac vity concentra ons of soil samples. Conclusion: The present results have been compared with the obtained values from other regions in Turkey and the interna onally reported values as well as the reference values. One of the models offered to explain non-radiative transition is Schon-Klasens. In this paper, the Schon-Klasens model was discussed both from theoretical and numerical viewpoints. The brief information about mathematical principals of the model was given and differential equations that controlled charge carrier traffic were derived. Some numerical solutions of the model were performed by using variable E-e and E-h parameters. This study has concluded that the glow curve is affected by both charge carriers according to relationship between E-e and E-h parameters

Bu çalışmada termolüminesans olayı açıklayan birinci mertebeden (FOK), ikinci mertebeden (SOK), g... more Bu çalışmada termolüminesans olayı açıklayan birinci mertebeden (FOK), ikinci mertebeden (SOK), genel mertebeden (GOK) ve etkileşimli çoklu tuzak modeli (IMTs) gözden geçirilmiştir. Modeller tarafından ileri sürülen ve yük taşıyıcı trafiğini ifade eden diferansiyel denklem sistemleri türetilmiştir. Bu lineer olmayan denklem sistemleri herhangi bir ön kabul yapılmadan sayısal olarak çözülmüş ve elde edilen sonuçlar literatür ile karşılaştırılmıştır. The Tm -TSTOP and the variable dose methods were applied to alumina experimentally, and then all ... more The Tm -TSTOP and the variable dose methods were applied to alumina experimentally, and then all the steps of the methods were simulated numerically. The Tm -TSTOP experiments were performed between 70-300°C, and results show that the glow curve of the used alumina has six distinct peaks between 40-400°C. The glow curves were analysed by using CGCF programs, the analytical equations were also fitted to the experimental data, and the trapping parameters of the peaks were measured. The samples were irradiated above the saturation level to ensure the complete filling of the electron traps, and thus, the concentrations of traps were measured experimentally. Short term anomalous fading behaviours of the peaks were investigated, and a new equation has been proposed to compute the anomalous fading rate. In order to check of the suitability of the described procedure some experimental and numerical processes were applied. Trap parameters were determined by using additive dose, peak shape, initial rise and computerized glow curve deconvolution methods. The physical model was established by using interactive multi-trap model and differential equations were derived. The equation system was solved numerically by using experimental trap parameters. A good agreement appeared between the experimental and the numerical results. The results prove that the applied procedure has been successful

In this study, thermoluminescence (TL) behaviors of some commercial TL dosimetric crystals (MCP-1... more In this study, thermoluminescence (TL) behaviors of some commercial TL dosimetric crystals (MCP-100, MCP-N, MTS-7, MTS-100 and MTS-N) under low and high radiation dose rates are investigated. In addition to this, the effects of different radiation types on the glow curve are also investigated. The peak intensities obtained from samples irradiated at low radiation doses are weaker than samples irradiated at high radiation doses. These results are normal evaluated together with fading experiments. On the other hand, some new glow peaks are observed and changes in peaks intensities are also observed in glow curves of samples exposed to alpha radiation

Bu amacla her bir model icin yuk tasiyici trafigini ifade eden diferansiyel denklem sistemleri turetilmistir. Bu denklem sistemlerini sayisal olarak cozumleyebilmek icin Mathematica 8.0 bilgisayar programi uzerinde kosturulabilen kodlar yazilmistir. Belirli tuzak parametre degerleri baslangic kosulu olarak bilgisayar programina verilmis ve isildama egrileri elde edilmistir. Termoluminesans tuzak parametrelerinin hesaplanmasinda kullanilan izotermal bozunum (ID) yontemi bir bilgisayar algoritmasi haline donusturulmus ve her bir modele uygulanmistir. Termoluminesans modeller ve izotermal bozunum yontemi kullanilarak tuzak parametreleri numerik olarak hesaplanmistir. Hesaplanan parametreler baslangic kosullari ile karsilastirilmis ve uyum icerisinde olduklari gorulmustur.
