I’ve been around the Supernatural fandom for a while. The idea of creating this community came when I kept seeing recs on my flist only to go to said recs and find out the fics were just not good. This is, of course, not my real LJ name due to the fact that having actual honest opinions in the fandom will get you ostracized. God forbid we have real opinions about anything. I read every type of fic in the fandom, wincest, gen, het, slash, rps, you name it and I’m there. I tend to be a harsher critic than my pal when it comes to fics so don’t expect me to sugarcoat anything. I’m not about giving backhanded compliments, just straight up truth.

I was drawn to this fandom because of the utterly amazing quantity of fan fic it seemed to be producing. I figured it must be a very open, honest place to develop your craft and meet others who are equally as obsessed with fan fic as I am. More than a year later, I'm a little disillusioned. My taste, when it comes to reading, is very broad and I tend to like things that tell a good, memorable story even if there are small mistakes here and there. To say that I was shocked to discover hardly any constructive criticism in my various reading adventures is an understatement. While there are plenty of rec communities that gloss ovoverlook the flaws in fan fiction, there are next to none that offer honest critiques.
Each reviewed fic will receive a rating based on the following:

7 – What Is and What Should Never Be
