Alternative interpretations of the early Mesopotamian building plan on RTC 145
Revue d'assyriologie et d'archéologie orientale 110 (2016) : 35-52
Abstract RTC 145, a tablet from Tello in southern Iraq dating to the third millennium BC, bears a building plan in which the names and the dimensions of the rooms were written. The drawing and the dimensions are not in agreement: this article discusses the nature of the building shown on the tablet and suggests possible ways to resolve the inconsistency between the building plan and the measurements of the rooms recorded on it.

It is now clear that Lehmann-Haupt's arguments were based on false assumptions and that Thureau-Dangin's suggestion that Rusa, son of Erimena, was the opponent of Sargon II of Assyria in 714 BC is correct and that the sequence of the Urartian kings must be revised.. It is prefaced by "A note to the reader" containing further information.

The textual and iconographical evidence supports this proposal which leds to a belated revision of the sequence of the Urartian kings. It is prefaced by "A note for the reader" that includes further information.

" discusses the fate of the Urartian king defeated by Sargon II of Assyria in 714 BC, expressing doubts about the reliability of the Assyrian sources. It is prefaced by "A note for the reader" which includes further information.
