The ecological condition of the Stebnyk tailings storage during the period of its operation and t... more The ecological condition of the Stebnyk tailings storage during the period of its operation and the development of the processes of filling it with brines to a critical level are analyzed. It is shown that the main reason for the current state of crisis of this object is its incorrect operation and the lack of an effective system for collecting and removing atmospheric water. The concept of hydro-technical reclamation of the tailings storage through the creation of the Stebnyk hydropark has been developed. The proposed technical solutions for the hydro-technical reclamation of the tailings storage include proposals for the design of a network of direct distribution and outlet channels on the territory of the already dry section No. 1, for the unloading of section No. 2. The design of the hydro-technical system "tailing storage-direct distribution and outlet channels channels" is based on a mathematical model of the water balance in conditions of continuous replenishment of ground and surface water and an increase in their level. The proposed hydro-technical network will provide control over the level of brines and discharge of water from the tailings storage facility. Geoinformation technologies were used to visualize the proposed technical solutions for the hydro-technical reclamation of the tailings storage. The implementation of the developed project proposals will ensure an environmentally safe hydrodynamic state of the "tailings storage-direct distribution and outlet channels" system, which will eliminate the threat of brine overflow through the protective dam, as well as the threat of dam breach and brine flow into water objects. Hydro-technical reclamation will ensure the environmental safety of human activities and water ecosystems of the water network of the Dniester river basin.

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on the process of vegetation formation in the post-industrial landscape of a sulfur quarry. During reclamation works in human-made ecotopes, vegetation has already formed there in a certain way due to natural succession processes. An analysis of the quality of surface water of State Enterprise Rozdil Mining and Chemical Enterp... more An analysis of the quality of surface water of State Enterprise Rozdil Mining and Chemical Enterprise 'Sirka' was carried out. It was established that in order to ensure ecological balance in the zone of influence of this enterprise, it is necessary to conduct regular monitoring observations, maintenance, supervision and control over the condition of hydraulic structures, elimination of sources of pollution. The obtained research results indicate that there is a need to create an information and analytical monitoring system in order to effectively store, process, and analyze the data based on the principles of comprehensive environmental monitoring for the collection, storage, and processing of data on pollution of various elements of the environment, which will provide forecasting of environmental changes in the territory of the mining and chemical enterprise. On the basis of the obtained research results, a web application was created based on an interactive map of water sampling points, visualization of the obtained results of hydrochemical monitoring of Rozdil Lakes, and a forecast of the state of the water environment.

Phosphogypsum of Novorozdilsky Plant of Complex Mineral Fertilizers (Lviv region) is a typical ar... more Phosphogypsum of Novorozdilsky Plant of Complex Mineral Fertilizers (Lviv region) is a typical artificial neogenic mineral formation, solid waste by-product generated when sulphuric acid reacts with the phosphorus-containing ores (apatite or phosphorite concentrates) during manufacturing of phosphoric acid. The raw materials for fertilizer production at the plant were sulphuric acid, which was obtained from the sulphur ores of Rozdilske SMCE “Sirka”, apatite concentrate from the Khibiny deposit (Kola Peninsula) and, to a lesser extent, phosphorite concentrate from sedimentary phosphorites. The plant has not been operating since 1995, but 4.5 million tons of phosphogypsum and also acidic mineralized water in the settling lake have accumulated on its territory since then. Gypsum (85–95 %) and bassanite (5–10 %) dominate in the mineral composition of phosphogypsum, there are also undissolved apatite (up to 2–3 %) and trace amounts of minerals that were originally in apatite concentrate...

In accordance with the goals of research and analysis of the environmental status of water bodies are of great practical importance, as their condition further affects the quality of drinking water. The purpose of the work is to assess the environmental status of the water body. The originality of the obtained results is a comprehensive assessment based on the analysis of time monitoring data on the ecological status of water of the water body, taking into account the weighting factors of pollution indices. The study of the ecological state was carried out taking into account the integrated hydrochemical indicators. Microsoft Excel software was used to conduct the study. Google Maps was used to find places on maps and build the maps you needed to work. Microsoft Excel was used to perform calculations and build graphics. The ecological status of a water body is determined on the basis of pollution index calculations. The method of assessing the ecological status of surface waters by relevant categories has been improved through the use of weights. The assessment method is universal and can be used to study the ecological status of any water body. However, the selection of hydrochemical indicators took into account only the content of major pollutants, namely chlorides, sulfates, phosphates, suspended solids, petroleum products, compounds of copper and zinc violated. The obtained research results can be used in the development of water management plans and measures to improve their condition.

The purpose of this work is an environmental assessment of the impact of tars on the territory of the Rozdil State Mining and Chemical Enterprise (SMCE), “Sirka”, anthropogenic load and the effectiveness of management actions to reduce the negative effects of pollution of the territory. All industrial wastes of the enterprise are sources of environmental hazard. They negatively affect not only soils and water objects of the enterprise territory but also neighboring territories, as well as the Dniester River. The main reason for this pollution is the non-performance of the project on maintaining ecological balance, monitoring, reclamation of the territory of the land due to insufficient funding for the implementation of projects. In this regard, sources of pollution (phosphogypsum, oil tars, lump sulfur, sulfur ore tails, solid waste) constantly affect the environment and over the years the situation remains dangerous.
