Welcome to MapleComm!
This is an online community devoted to sharing all things regarding the Nexon game; MapleStory. You must have an account with LiveJournal to have posting access in this community, so please continue here & follow some basic instructions on how to become a LiveJournal user.

Some very useful basic HTML... lj-cut tag
A very usefull tool if you are oblivious to communites. An LJ-cut is what helps you minimize the length of your post when you know it's going to be long. This is normally used for pictures of odd sizes or quantity, & any lengthy post, such as guides or rants.
To do an LJ-cut, type < lj-cut text="Any Text" > before the area you would like not shown on the main page, & fill in the "Any Text" area with just that, any text. You will need to take out the spaces I've added near the brackets. To get a more in-depth description, reference this FAQ from livejournal.com, you might benefit from bookmarking that page as well. Simple, this is for when you want to link something but don't want a hideous link lingering in your post. This code will help that, < a href="http://www.livejournal.com/maplecomm">Any Text" Just type in the link you want to hyperlink between the "s, & type in the text you want to appear instead of the link where Any Text is located. Again, delete the spaces I have added between the first & last brackets. If this is confusing feel free to post & ask for a more in-depth explanation within the community.Image Hosting
If you have a paid account with LiveJournal, you can upload your own images to your scrapbook. However, if you are using a basic or free account, here are some sites used by the members to host & share images;

The HTML link to share a picture from an uploader, is < img src="http://www.iamauploadedlink.com" border="1" >. Remember to put the real uploaded link between the "s, & to take out the spaces at the beginning & ending brackets. If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to ask within the community.

Once upon a time, there was all but one MapleStory community here on LiveJournal. All was well, until disastrous stupidity struck down upon the fragile community & opened the flood-gates for shitty modship & all around lameness from contributors.
Thus, Maplecomm was birthed out of the fiery, dramatic hate & has now become a great source for credible MapleStory information & all around dominant community for MapleStory & Nexony goodness.
Or yaknow, one day I just got sick of shit being retarded so I made my own community & people seemed pleased with the way things were presented here. But the first tale sounded really epic & amazing... :( .
*** When the presence of Private Servers became well known within our community, a vote was taken to determine whether we stay a strictly GMS/EMS MapleStory community or if we expand to the other realms of MS. The vote has always leaned towards expanding our community out towards all things related to MapleStory, up to & including Private Servers. If you wish not to view this information, you have many options available to you; You may join an existing MapleStory community, OR you may create your OWN MapleStory community. If for any reason the opinion of this vote is different from its current state, I will (& have always) provide the community with what it's own users desire. This is to be the same protocol for any changes to this community.
