MarchWarden: LJ's Haldir Community
Caras Galadhon, United Kingdom
Seems like we're the first Haldir-oriented community on LiveJournal. Hmm! Well, it's about time. Whether you're a hardcore book!Haldir purist or a new-school helmsdeep!Haldir fan, here's the place for speculation, plotbunnies, droolage, and occasional spontaneous fits of weeping and cursing Peter Jackson. Fanfic, images, and Craig Parker fans are most welcome, though we've prefer you place the first two behind an LJ-CUT. (For help on lj-specific tags, go here.)
Your amazing wonderful gorgeous and perfect but! notaMarySue moderator has decided she quickly needs to do something.
Marchwardens is a community about Haldir. It is not about one-line entries asking about a completely unrelated subject to Haldir or Silvan Elves. If you have a question about one of the hobbits, something related to RPS and so forth PLEASE post this in another community. Such as...

Marchwardens is a community about Haldir. It is not about one-line entries asking about a completely unrelated subject to Haldir or Silvan Elves. If you have a question about one of the hobbits, something related to RPS and so forth PLEASE post this in another community. Such as... - Community devoted to Craig Parker, actor behind Haldir.
- Er. \*cough\* Self explanatory.
- Self explanatory.
- Self explanatory.
- For your every Tolkien related Icon.
- If you found a Mary Sue, here's where you report her.
- An interesting quote? Post it here, but read their info page for the rules.
- Question about something you found in the Silmarillion that might be too obscure? Go here. Though I do recommend posting in Marchwardens as well, since we have some Uber-Tolkien-Geeks in the midst.
- Another Haldir community, self explanatory.
- Self explanatory.
- Self explanatory.
- Self explanatory, this is a place to drool over Orlando or Legolas.
- Lists many other communities than I've listed here, and is self explanatory as well. If you know of any other community you think should be added to this list, please get a hold of me, you'll find something about that at the bottom of this info. Now that I've got THAT cleared away... FAQ. There is a Haldir in Unfinished Tales, yes. Who is a MAN. This Haldir's short bio entry in Unfinished Tales is as follows: Haldir Son of Halmir of Brethil; wedded Gloredhel daughter of Hador of Dor-lomin; slain in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad. I hope that clears some things up. On to the next! There is I repeat NO mention of Haldir in ANY other book besides The Fellowship of the Ring. Strictly (I'm angry, just woke up, so you're stuck with Nazgul!TolkienGeek!Ramlatch here.) - Chapter 6 of Lothlorien, Chapter 7 The Mirror of Galadriel, and Chapter 8 Farewell to Lorien. I refuse to give you specific page numbers because I want you to READ the books \*glare\* If you have any question at all about Silvan Elves or Haldir, ask your co-moderator and Silvan!Haldir!Geek, here
