There are lots of studies about this discipline which based on language which is human being's most important communication tool. Beside studies where the US and France, there are lots of studies which is based on language studies in Turkey. These studies have started with that when French academician Algirdas Julien Greimas started to give lectures in Turkey. After him, names like Tahsin Yücel and Berke Vardar continued to study on this discipline. Than semiotics found a place for itself in study of Turkey.
