This is sensed at the phase-locked loop in the controller. In past studies the effect of grid frequency variation is neglected while designing the controller for power quality restoration. When modern grids are connected to large numbers of non-linear loads and various types of distributed generation (DG), it results in continuous variation in grid frequency. Thus it is necessary to consider the grid frequency variation for effective power quality restoration. However, tuning of conventional PI controller gains considering frequency variation is very difficult. Thus it is necessary to develop an adaptive intelligent nonlinear controller to tackle the effects of frequency variation, voltage distortion and non-linear load simultaneously. This paper presents the importance of considering the effects of the frequency variation, grid voltage distortion and non-linear load, while designing and deploy...

The SV-PWM in 3 phase 3L-NPCI allows optimum selection of space vector switching state of any length and position of vectors and their on-time duration to reduce the capacitor DC link voltage unbalance quickly. The proposed 3L-NPCI using SV-PWM generates less harmonic distortion and assures generation of proper voltage output vectors even under large capacitor DC link voltage unbalancing. The performance has been analyzed by using MATLAB Simulink.

Participants of the study, which was used as a pretest posttest control group quasi-experimental design, consisted of 42 6th grade students in two different class in Belekcihan Secondary School located in Akdagmadeni District of Yozgat province. Groups were assigned by simple random sampling method which is one of the random sampling methods. One of the classes was determined as the experimental group and the other as the control group. While determining the experimental and control groups for the application, the availability of the classes, the readiness levels of the students and their educational status were taken into consideration. The achievement test used by the research was developed by the researchers and the item difficulty and discrimination indices of the developed test were calculated with ITEMAN 3.0 software. In the analysis of the data co...

Their hue, saturation and intensity were figured after 72 hours by methods of Adobe photoshop CS3 to mirror the module recoloring seriousness.Result: Significant difference was found between two types of modules analyzed in this study. Ketchup and methylene blue demonstrated higher staining potential compared to other staining media. Besides, there was no significant difference in staining contrast between tea and Pepsi. Conclusion: Ketchup and methylene blue are strong staining media, ought to be avoided by the patients opting for aesthetic orthodontic appliances. Elastomeric modules manufactured ...

The ophiolitic rocks are represented by pillowed basalt, massive andesite and pyroclastic andesite. These volcanics represent dismembered members of the upper part of the ophiolite. Basalt is porphyritic in nature where phenocrysts of augite and plagioclase laths are set in a fine grained glassy to chloritic matrix. Andesites consists of phenocrysts of augite, altered feldspar and minor quartz which are set in ground mass of epidote-chlorite glass. Trace element and REE pattern suggests more fertile mantle source for andesite than that of basalt. Trace element characteristics indicate that the andesites and basalts were possibly derived from the same melt where andesite represents the more fractionated product. In Andaman Islands dismembered ophiolite with complete ophiolite stratigraphy are found only within the Eocene sediments. But the field disposition suggests that in Great Nicobar emplacement of the ophiolite continued even after the Oligocene sedimentation. The characters of the ophiolitic rocks in Great Nicobar island are similar to that of the Sunda outer arc ridge.

The synthesised CdTe nanowires were characterised by X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscope, energy-dispersive analysis of X-ray, and photoluminescence techniques. The field emission characteristics have been investigated at room temperature. The J–E and I–t characteristics were measured in a planar diode configuration at the base pressure of 1 × 10−8 mbar. Turn-on field defined for the emission current density of 0.1 µA/cm2 has been found to be 2.2 V/µm and on the application of high applied electric field of 7.8 V/µm maximum current density of 210 µA/cm2 has been achieved. The I–t measurement has been studied at the preset of 1 µA emission current for the duration of 3 h. Overall nature of emission current has been seen to stable for duration of the measurement. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is a first report on field emission study of CdTe nanowires.

The result is that time taken for commuting has greatly reduced. But this in turn increases the count of people who would use this mode of transport and thus the traffic in the roads increases. The concern however lies in the increase in pollution resulting from this rapid growth in the number of vehicles in the road and that there isn't a system that checks the pollution levels in all city traffic pockets. Our project revolves around the concept of monitoring the pollution levels from each vehicle itself and collecting this information by transmitting it to the regulation authority by means of an ad hoc network setup where the vehicles on the road behave as mobile nodes.
