This is a community in which Dharma practitioners, and in particular Tibetan Dharma practitioners, can talk about their personal practice with fellow dharma siblings. That could take the form of observations on a given practice, practice questions, sharing of practice difficulties, asking for non-monetary ressources, posting how many accumulations you did that day, or the quality of that day's practice, etc.
It is a closed community. If you want to join, please reply to the first post or email me at paul@sexynerds.com with Milarepa Hut in the subject line.
the RULES (dunh dunh dunh)
1. Please respect your commitments--ie. if something is supposed to remain secret to the non-initiated, don't blab about it.
2. Above all, treat each other with respect. That is a high value in this community. Each of us is a Buddha in our own right, and each of us can help to awaken each other.
3. No Dharma battles. There will be no disrepectful comments of this teaching and/or teacher is better than a certain other. The Karmapa debate will not take place here, nor will any pertaining to the ArogTer Lineage. All teachers will be spoken of respectfully even if it is one's (yours, the general, whosever) opinion that a given teacher is just a hack. This community is for practitioners to discuss practice. Duh.
4. Check your ego at the door. No fat-heads allowed!
There will be no bragging about how many tranmissions one has received or how rare they are. Discussing transmissions is fine. Revealing that you have a certain transmission is fine if it's fine with your teachers to do so. The Dharma equivalent of name-dropping is not.
5. If you've got problems, email me (paulsireci@gmail.com). I'm a beginning moderator, but i'll do whatever i can to solve lj-related problems.
