Nevertheless, agreeing to collaborate does not automatically ensure success of the partnership and give a positive social, economical or even organisational impact. According to the scientists, institutional interferences, economic or government disincentives and decision-making handicaps could create significant obstacles to partnership efficiency. The article examines success factors of the inter-organisational partnership effectiveness in local government, with reference to an opinion of Lithuania’s local government representatives. The partnerships’ success factors indicated by the Lithuanian practitioners coincide with the ones formulated by foreign researchers. However, they are slowly put into practice because of systemic and managerial impediments preventing inter-organisational partnership

This article investigated the experience of individuals working not at the office and disclosed consequences of occupational stress such as mental and physical exhaustion, social deprivation, decreased work commitment, professional cynicism, and professional burnout. The preliminary study was based on a survey of 202 employees in Lithuania who were teleworking from home throughout the pandemic. According to the results, it can be assumed that teleworking had rather negative effects on employee wellbeing, as many teleworkers tended to suffer mental and physical exhaustion and social deprivation when working from home within pandemic. The psycho-emotional state of employees seems to be a key factor influencing the intellectual resources of an organization in a period of uncertainty.

There is a noticeable scientific thinking stating that too high Government involvement into the matters of its countries particular economic sector may bring adverse effects. It raises a scientific and practical problem: how to decide if Government should intervene into the particular economic sectors operations and when? In order to solve this issue, an economic resilience measuring index of agricultural sector was created. The agricultural sector consumes the biggest part of EU budget, acts as a main employer in rural regions of EU member states and is very susceptible to external perturbations, especially from the demand side, as supply cannot be timely adjusted to demand. Thus it was chosen as a target sector in our scientific research. In order to select the indicators for agricultural sector’s eco...

It can develop, maintain or encumber the collaboration process and value of a partnership. Thus, the facilitative structure of a partnership is an actual constituent of efficient inter-organizational partnership implementation. The aim of the research is to develop a conceptual structural model for effective interorganizational partnership in Local Government. There are two such models presented in the article. Models are based on principles of involvement, participation, commitment, personal and group responsibility and comprise vertical and horizontal interaction of social subjects. These models: a) allow to reduce bureaucratic obstacles that occur because of the influence and powers of sponsoring institutions and supervisory authorities on initiation and implementation of inter-organizational programmes and projects; b) eliminate subordinate relations among municipalities and other partnersh...

Demand of development of decision-making process in municipalities was inspired by: a) decentralization; b) changes in the institutional structure of municipalities; c) economic/social partner and municipalities cooperation in making important to communities municipal decisions. The most relevant areas of decision-making improvement are analyzed using methods of sociological survey and organizational structure analyses. Results of the research shows that a great number of Lithuanian municipalities strives to ensure high quality of decision making and suggestion discussing. Nevertheless, it is very common for municipalities while reacting to the problems to thrust decisions, to form the policy and make decisions instead of arriving at consensus and decision planning.Straipsnyje siekiama nustatyti Lietuvos savivaldybėse vyraujančią politinių admi...

This research extends previous investigations on digital insurance transformations and customization trends in the European and Baltic markets. Expert-based evidence on predominant as-is features in existing non-life insurance online platforms and evaluation on a practical spread of 3 capabilities of the Mass Customization concept are key research outcomes. Results reveal that neither the Mass Customization concept and its capabilities nor combinations with digital and personalization solutions are sufficiently widespread. Results of the digitalization evaluation indicate that the level in the Baltic non-life insurance sector is between Satisfied and Rather Good and is equal to the level of service provider’s preparation for digital solutions. However, it is behind the actual needs of end-users. Findings show that standa...

Based on this relevance, the article’s aim is twofold: when seeking to better understand the phenomenon of visual information to analyse the visual communication experience of public relation professionals who apply visual solutions to achieve a specific effect in their work. Methodology: A quasi-structured in-depth interview of the experts and the method of interpretive phenomenological analysis were used to gather and process the data of the research. Findings: The paper presents insights into the interaction between receiver’s visual information experience and one’s world view. The research revealed that the visual information influences a person’s perception and interpretation of a message when it serves as supplement for information alongside text in press, advertisement, etc. Value Ad...

As a pre-emptive measure, almost all traditional educational institutions have been transformed into virtual organizations. This pandemic-induced work transition has created stress among academic staff and has hampered their performance. The present study aims to examine the impact of leadership behaviors, e-training, and employment security on the stress management process, consequently improving employee performance during and after the pandemic. Based on the IPO (input–process–output) model, this study examines the effect of leadership behavior, e-training, and employment security on teaching staff’s tasks and adaptive and contextual performance, mediated by stress management. To test the conceptual model, data were collected from the teaching staff of Malaysian universities. The structural equation modeling technique was used for data analysis, while boot...

The knowledge about the essential characteristic elements of lead users is crucial to select the right lead users in the early stage of the NPD. By filling the research gap, we performed a systematic literature review about the required personal characteristics of lead users. The resulting 45 studies demonstrated that diverse characteristics are required in different stages of an NDP which vary in the consumer and industrial context. According to our research results, we made a contribution to the theory by extending the lead user method in the form of a partial theory. We also found that in the case of incremental innovations, companies apply their technical knowledge and do not require additional expertise from users, while in the case of radical innovations, firms only involve external users with hig...
