Reviews Oct 2, 2021 It was cute and cute. The anime tells the story of chocotan and her owner. She is a dog that can talk with humans for a bad explained reason. The episodes are short and this didn't get us time to explain a lot of things. But the end is well made and you can tell the story done.I can't say the anime is perfect or have anything that te best i've seen, but i can say i liked how the story goes and how the characters are cute and heartwarming. The dog interactions are the best, and it really could tell a bit more after what happened in the last ep,but it... weren't need since the end it's pretty conclusive. That is what made me drop it from a 9 to an 8 truth be told.I continuously compared it to children's talking animal cartoons of the west and came see this as a "workable" premise, in that it seems to be around a "power" of the dog. I... think it generally works better for that than most of the wests attempts.Overall, I would recommend it for kids (girls). Reviewer’s Rating: 8 What did you think of this review? This OVA doesn't even bother to give the audience anything resembling a character introduction before we are thrown into this predictable, yet at the same time, nonsensical "journey". There's very little plot to be seen in this anime. The girl's crush and jealousy surrounding the one male in this show comes out of utter nowhere and the story gives us no reason to care about her plight. The thin conflict has an equally shallow resolution with no weight to it. The animation and art was also a bit unsettling. Characters rarely... blink, and have unusually large and detailed eyes, even for anime. Movement of characters is often rigid and unnatural, and on more than one occasion, a character would speak without moving their mouth. The only thing that makes this resemble a watchable experience is the few talented voice actors whose abilities were wasted on this overall horrible OVA.
